  1. You can get a train to Livingston North or Livingston South from Waverley, takes about 20mins, £5.50 return. Here's some info it you're planning on walking from the station. There are two stations that are in reach of the ground. Livingston North & Livingston South. The North station is served by trains from Glasgow Queens Street and Edinburgh, whilst the South Station is served by trains from Glasgow Central and Edinburgh. Both stations are served by trains from Glasgow and Edinburgh. Both stations are around a 25-30 minute walk away from the ground. Exit Livingston North railway station and turn right, heading downhill towards the town centre. You can walk by the main road or take the more pleasant network of paths. You want the Alderstone Path, following directions for St John's Hospital, Howden and Town Centre. When you reach the hospital, you'll see the first signposts for the ground, further downhill along the main road and then on the left. The walk takes 30 minutes.
  2. Welcome aboard Lionel, best of luck to you. Nice quote... "I am very pleased to be here, it's great to have joined a big club in Scotland".
  3. Would expect it will be Wednesday 25th as we play Dundee Utd on Sunday 22nd. Probably be confirmed later today I would think.
  4. McCall said we only have enough left in the budget to bring 1 more player in, so don't think we'll be seeing any more than 1 unless there is movement in the other direction. Will be happy if we get a winger with pace who knows how to cross the ball.
  5. Apolgies, I totally misread that.
  6. Contradicts the story they had in there yesterday saying we were going to offer Hateley a deal!
  7. Motherwell assistant Kenny Black says the club will not make a fresh offer to Tom Hateley after the defender failed to find a new club following his rejection of a new contract at Fir Park. Full story: Daily Record (print edition) If we only have enough left in the budget to bring 1 more player in, don't think this would be a good idea. We really need a winger as McCall has been saying himself. Unless there is someone about to leave?
  8. I remember saying on here last season about 6/7 games in that we we weren't playing very well but still picking up points. Will be happy if we can do that in the next 2 or 3 games & hopefully the team will gel & kick on from there.
  9. Think he's got to make changes at the break as it's 1 way traffic. Not convinced he will though.
  10. Think McCall getting a bit carried away in his thinking that we are defensively more solid this season. Looks like the plan was to keep it tight & then bring ZFA & Anier on for last 30mins or so to hopefully make an impact & produce a goal. The early goal has blown that plan & sounds like we're struggling & could be further behind. Hoping we can get our act together & get back into the game.
  11. @MotherwellFC Motherwell: Hollis, Hammell, Ramsden, Hutchinson, McManus, McFadden, Lawson, Sutton, Vigurs, Lasley, McHugh Motherwell subs: Nielsen, Francis-Angol, Carswell, Erwin, Kerr, Moore, Anier
  12. Anybody heard anything on this? If true, with McCall not back until Thursday, wouldn't really give him much time to get a good look at him.
  13. Gutted, could've lost by more by sounds of it. Difficult game away in Inverness next, let's hope we're well up for it & can go & get a result.
  14. Few scary moments listening to that, them hitting crossbar twice & short backpass by McManus nearly costing us. Sounds like we've been threatening ourselves & Anier looking good again. Will be happy if we ride our luck & see it out 1-0!
  15. Agree that Lasley shouldn't be ruled out for a contract extension. We all know he lacks pace but McCall said he's 1 of the fittest at the club. Nothing in the 3 games he's played so far this season has me worried that he's on his last legs!
  16. Who do they have that would be worth bringing in?
  17. Ah, a friend of our Charles then....
  18. Let's hope he fails miserably trying to prove it.
  19. Totally agree with this, it could've been very different with a better draw. When I was a young fan Motherwell qualifying for Europe was just a dream, so to have done it so many times for me is great. I've done 4 away trips in Europe & have loved them all, & hopefully will do more in the future. You only qualify for Europe on the back of a successful season so I'll be more than happy to be having this discussion again this time next year.
  20. Fuck it, would've been happy had we scored that pen, 1-1 out there would've been respectable but disappointed. Bring on the sheep on Sunday & hopefully we'll have the smiles back on our faces.
  21. They win the ball off us & they look lively, running everywhere. We win it from them & everyone just about stops dead as if they're just relieved to have gained possession.
  22. Glad to go in 0-0 at half time. If we can keep them out until 60 mins we just need to go for it & throw men forward. Chances are we'll be picked off but nothing to lose.
  23. Never forget that goal he scored against Hibs, absolute peach! If he was available then I'm sure McCall could have brought him back in, so guessing he doesn't think he's good enough or is not the right player for the team he's trying to build. Good luck to him anyway, left us with a great memory.
