  1. Am I the only one who thinks our league is entertaining. I love the SPL. It’s a bit mental, we have some great games and the atmosphere most of the time is good. Also as we have proved the best way to increase attendance is to improve the entertainment in the ground. Play good football and fans will come and watch, no matter the result, also playing good football tends to bring success. It’s not all doom and gloom to be honest.
  2. What a bit of business getting Lowry in, reminds me of Turnbull.
  3. Also when it gets weird and folk start going personal on the guy based on one persons interaction with him.
  4. Tawanda is getting some amount of stick on here. That’s 4 games into the SPL season. 1 goal and 2 assists. He is not a natural goal scorer, never was and is now back in his best position on the wing. He has also been wearing an awkward face mask. I think give him a chance to get back to his best.
  5. That’s exactly what I thought when I seen this…
  6. Just watched the highlights. Wild that the pen was not retaken. Gogic after the miss is affecting the play and denies Tawanda the ability to get the ball. How is that missed by VAR. Mental. Not sure about the fouls before the goals. Would have been soft and if it happened to us we would have been raging. Some finish from the new boy. Not seen a goal like that in a while.
  7. I think the HJK incident was a bit unfortunate, people can lose it when a goal goes in, it wasn’t like they deliberately broke the advertising board. The blocking paths, can’t just be attributed to one group and is again a very minor issue. The fan at Fir Park at the Frieburg game, again is one guy who probably could be dealt with separately. So other than that they bring the noise and go above and beyond with the displays. But I do think the flares last night was a bit poor especially after the message that went out days before. Like another guy said, it felt a little like two fingers up to the club.
  8. I think that the flares being set off yesterday might result in a ban. I felt the message they put out felt like a final warning, so I would imagine there will be some fallout from this.
  9. I don’t in any way we would have been whipping boys. In the last season and this current season we have very rarely if at not been competitive in games against supposed bigger teams. Even against Frieburg it’s was relatively close, only when we lost a man in each game did we struggle. We are a very good side who are well coached and I’m convinced we will get another crack at Europe next season.
  10. I think the League Cup / Euro argument is flawed. AJ had to make a call on how to manage his squad, clearly the club decided that the best approach was to give Europe a real shot. League form was solid and on the back of a monumental effort in the home HJK game we then have the Stenny game, for me there is a number of factors in that game. Squad size at the time due to injuries. The artificial pitch meaning the worry about injuries. The upcoming Frieburg game. For me he thought the players he played would do a job and unfortunately it never happened. That’s football sometimes. But I do think it was the right decision to rotate the team, also you have to look at it from the players perspective, they would 100% want to be fit for that Frieburg game, it’s probably the biggest two games of their careers. Also Europe is not something to dismiss, I am convinced with a better draw we would have got through and then it’s a whole new level for the club. The big money is in Europe and the ability to grow as a club is much higher in Europe than in the league cup. The job the manager and team has done this season is first class considering it’s a new spine of a team and the injury crisis we have had. Fair play to AJ, I can’t remember a more memorable start to a season ever.
  11. Frieburg with a 5-1 away win versus Dussledorf at the weekend…
  12. I was coming from the perspective that we get to compete in the league cup every season, we get to compete in Europe maybe every 5 years or so. So for me I would take a Euro run over a league cup run. Each to their own.
  13. Today highlighted how thin the squad is. For me this should have been addressed sooner so we could rotate better. But it can be hard to sign the right players quickly. As for the Europe versus League Cup. Eh Euro run every day of the week for me. They only come along once in a while. So best to savour it. One thing from the game. Why as Luca Ross kept on. He was nursing a hamstring injury and spewed twice yet played on. Seemed an odd decision. Finslly well done Stenny, thought they were superb today.
  14. That was one for the ages. A very professional performance against the biggest club in Finland. Ok they are not Barcelona, but this is a team who qualify for Europe most seasons and have reached the group stages only a few years ago. We schooled them. Thought Lowry and Said were superb. Moorman is a step up on Welsh, he is that good and was delighted to see Olly Whyte stroll about the park like a veteran midfielder. Whats brilliant about being a Motherwell fan these days is that this is not just a flash in the pan, this is it now. We are a football club who has grasped the fact you need to modernise and play football the right way and the rewards will come.
  15. Very accomplished. Will get better. Shout out to Olly Whyte who was excellent for the time he came on. Proper footballer.
  16. Not posted in a while. Watched the last four games on the tv. We look class. Also the new keeper is superb. The amount of saves he has made already is ridiculous. His handling is also excellent.
  17. Heard a wee rumour us and Hibs are looking at Lyndon Dykes. Might be nonsense, but just wondering if anyone else heard anything?
  18. Yeah I looked into flights, nothing direct. Have to fly to France or Amsterdam and then go from there. Over 600 per flight.
  19. Excellent performance, one of the best of the season. Their GK kept that from being 4 or 5 nil
  20. VAR is to blame, not the officials. They are given basic tools to their jobs and then have to make a call on decisions from poor angles and poor cameras. It should never have been introduced into our game until we had the infrastructure. But here we are. Imagine the fallout if Rangers were in Hearts position on Wednesday. I also agree with their statement on the hysteria around this. The statement we put out today was poor regarding our game being a joke. That is very harsh, considering the EPL announced today that 29 mistakes have been made by VAR down there this season and they have about 100 cameras per game and a far more advanced system than us. No conspiracies, no dodgy refs, this is essentially down to a poor VAR system that doesn’t work.
  21. Anyone know if there are any bus seats available anywhere. Bit last minute but would need two seats?
  22. That’s unrealistic though. I am pretty sure Celtic could offer him over £1 million per year. Easy. I would imagine we would be about £300k - we can’t compete with that.
  23. Let’s not kid ourselves on here. There is a very high chance Jens will be away in the summer. I would imagine a lot of clubs across Europe will be keeping tabs on him. It’s the way it is. Anyone who does well at our club has a high chance of not being there for long.
  24. You’ve done it again! In your previous message you claimed our manager is bang average and in this one you are doing the exact same thing in pulling out stats to suit a narrative. We are clearly not going to win every game so beyond that you look at the performances and most have been very good even when we have drawn or lost. Stop trying to make this something it’s not. We have had an excellent season, have a great team and a very good manager.
