  1. I have been to one game this season so not really in a position to comment, but you have to wonder what's going on at the club. I went to that home euro game against Starjan and for 20 minutes we looked good. Then after that we could have lost about 5 goals. from the sounds of things we have actually got worse and worse as the season goes on.

My gut feeling is we thought the squad in the summer would be fine to compete in the spl and everyone else strengthened and we did hee haw

We gave older players silly contracts and signed no one to compete for their place and now it sounds like these older players have downed tools.

We signed total tripe in the summer and I think this was McCalls trigger for fucking off. Since he went the confidence in the team was shot.

We then pick an inexperienced young manager over a Dutch manager who has managed at a decent level at Europe and knows the club inside out and probably would have got the respect of the players.

Whole season has been a downward slide to the shit fest it has now become.

The up side is at least we will avoid a horror play off with either hibs or Rangers.

We will be by a long distance 12th.

  2. To cover a few points raised.

We've seen only 15 months ago what Friday night, booze and stupidity result in, a trashed stand.

Also, launching idiots out who over indulge, we already know what group mentality is like without drink, someone needing kicked out surrounded by half a dozen mates also inebriated is a job that no steward or cop would relish. Our game is tribal and people congregate around a common cause regardless of merit, more so because they are wearing C&A.

I used to see the blinds go down in the Cooper or South because the fans sitting in the cheap seats aren't allowed to see the corporate/hospitality customers drinking at half time and thought that is crazy.

Most rational people know you are judged under different circumstances and you're on better behaviour when in a box. I accept that part of their package allows drinking, is it screened from me to avoid jealousy, glamourises drinking or protect the kids?

That prohibition era ruling in our modern day licencing laws is why a lot of our pubs are dark dingie little hovels with either tiny windows or opaque glass. Absolutely mental.

Unfortunately human beings as a collective don't behave, there will always be an element rebelling or being bloody minded for the sake of it.

But how many people who are in Fir Park on Saturday at 3pm have spent at least 3 hours in the pub previously drinking? I would say a high percentage.

Now how much trouble do you see in Fir Park? Almost zero.

The point is that a few pints at a football match will not lead to trouble. Anyone who think it will need to stop harking back to the 80's when it was a totally different scenario.

  3. The banning of alchohol at football is a nonsense.

You are in the ground for about 120 minutes. In that time you will probably spend most of your time in your seat watching the game. You may then spend 10 minutes waiting in a queue to get a beer - and you need to drink it in the concourse.

What I am getting at is realistically you could have maybe one or two pints maximum at the game. So chances of getting drunk are tiny.

Its a great way for clubs to bring in some much needed extra revenue in difficult times.

Also all these people harking back to the dark days of football violence - thats a utterly pointless argument as back then you could bring a carry out into the games.

    I say bring it back.

  4. Fraser Fyvie was a good player but he's hardly kicked a ball in three years.

Its quite amazing to think how many young high quality prospects in Scottish Football have gone down south and vanished into the ether.

Very few have actually made it. I can count Andrew Robertson, James McCarthy, James McCarthur and Steven Naismith. Thats about it...

I suppose Alan Hutton did well when he first went down there to.

  5. Pumped by Celtic at their patch is nothing new.

It's the fact we are getting pumped by every other team as well.

We are going down unless something can be done to this squad of players who quite frankly are a bunch of utter pant wettters and fall apart under the slightest bit of pressure.

Maybe championship football is what this clubs needs. It's needs something as this season has been an utter disgrace.

  6. Won't someone please think of the children! That's the point of shutting the east and moving folk to another stand away from the deadly loose panels.

We do seem to be very unlucky with this sort of thing though.

The East stand is essentially a corrugated iron shit fest and needs knocked down, but we have fuck all money so that's that.

  7. I remember the days the east stand was a sturdy beast that just pissed itself now and again...

Fair enough about cancelling the game.

These roasters saying it's embarrassing need to sit back and think about it. If one of those panels fell of and ripped a kids head off then the club would be utter fubar.

Weather was shite yesterday and was utter shite today so the chances of fixing shit today was never going to happen.

Chill the fuck out and build a snowman tomorrow.

  8. we have been very lucky for years not just 1 season, I could see this coming

    Utter shite.

The season we finished second with Higgy, Law, Ojamma etc was one of the best Motherwell teams I have ever seen.

    No luck about that.

Also last season you don't finish secondby being lucky. You finish second by being hard to beat and taking your chances.

  9. well Yabba hes not a shy boy , and a big fan ,so I would be expecting him to be making the rite noises to the board members as regards to making a statement as to what if anything is going on regards players comeing inn ???

    Eh?

That's right Alan is going to march into the boardroom and tell the people funding the club about how to spend hundreds of thousands of pounds??

  10. Not sure what flow has to do with any of this.

Aye exactly. See when Craig Brown, Mark McGhee and Jim Gannon were doing utter shite did anyone on here name check the General Manager as the reason for shite performances on the park?

Our problems stem from our signing policy in the summer where we spent most of our budget on getting guys like Lasley, McManus and Hammel in long term deals, instead of doing what the other teams in the league have done which is spend their money on young talent from the lower league in England and up here.

We sign Josh Law......and eh that's about it.

Oh and also we are rooked.

  11. That's an obvious one. Also, obvious I am not conducting an interview.....nor said we should be asking at interview.

So, again, what's the problem with us speculating about it?

Also, you can ask for consent to see medical reports if it is in connection with the employment or insurance. I would think that if you are aware of someone with heart issues, brought on by the same job, it would make sense to seek that consent and reassurance for both parties.

You know absolutly nothing about his health conditions and what caused it so how can you say it was brought on by the job?

  12. Is it not that the only way the Well Society can work as a model is if it includes some big investment from wealthy individuals on a regular basis (Ie a Boyle type character)?

If thats the case then its not different really from any other investment / takeover of the club.

A well society running only on funds from fans will not work as we will never have the fan base to sustain it.

Maybe I have got this all wrong, but thats my view of it.

  13. OK McCall has gone. Was great for us and sad to see him go, but by the looks of it he wanted to go and if thats the case then its the best thing for all involved.

Now for the interesting bit...who would be want to replace him.

Personally I would be very happy if we went for someone like Ian Murray. Young manager with lots going for him. Look how well guys like Paul Hartley and Alex Neil are doing.

    Worth a punt?

  14. The issues at the club have got absolutley nothing to do with Flow - IS he not just managing the day to day running of the club, working on bringing in extra income etc?

This has nothing at all to do with the players or management.

    Our issues stem from:

A - Making no money on transfers

B - Signing up players on extended contracts and not having any money left to sign new and better players

C - Very little competition for places

D - Other teams have improved and increased their playing squad. We have remained the same and lost players

And all of the above go right back to finances - of which we have none.
