Yeah Flamaturi have kwon for a month they would be coming to the UK.
Seems they have basically just forgot.
I really doubt they will be able to get over in time.
Bad news for Motherwell as it means no money on gate reciepts as we will have to get our money back.

Watched about 20 mins of the first half on a laptop in a Manchester hotel and I thought we were pretty good! Played the ball about, slane looked very impressive and young Forbe was playing some excellent passes.
Anyone on here who can criticise the players when playing in such intense heat is quite frankly a bawbag. We were very unlucky and if we can play like today with another weeks training I am confident we can turn them over in Airdrie.
Also to all the folk slating Hammel, Sutton et all - away back to yer caves and shut the fuck up!

Same could be said about Jim O'Brien at the beginning - all it takes is a bit of confidence and good coaching.

36 degrees might just be too hot for McGarry to play in. We might actully see the first case of a player being boiled to death in the heat.

these names don't fill me with confidence, if are to be concentrating on signing players from down south it should be guys with good first team experience like porter and jennings rather than youths who can't make the breakthrough in the premiership.
Do you seriously think we as a club are in a position to be signing 4 or 5 experienced players from down south?
We are scraping the bottom of the barrel like every other SPL club.

That statement from the club is rather confusing. If we have enough strips for the squad then fair enought, but is the selling of Motherwell merchandise not only a huge revenue stream for the club, but alos Provan sports.
If there are no strips to sell then what happens?

If Motherwell can´t sign any more player until wednesday, could someone tell me, if our young players are good enought, to play against Flamurtari, and are there some who could get really good players in this season?...
The question is, are Flamaturi better than Llanelli? I would say they are.
It will be a really tricky tie out there. Will be roasting, a hostile crowd and a lot of inexperienced players. We will probably get beaten.
At Aidrie it will be a different matter.
Overall its going to be a close one, but I think we have the quality to overcome them.

I can't understand all the hubub about Hughes. He played well for about 6 months of his two years here. He scored two goals for us and most times the games just passed him by. Will not miss him one jot to be honest.

Difference between McGhee and Gannon is that the later seems to know exactly who he wants to bring in. McGhee didn't really have any particular players in mind when he arrived. Also in the later stages of his time at Motherwell he seemed to rely a lot on Gordon Strachcan to provide him with advice and players. Can't see the same happening with Gannon.
Also with Stockport pretty much up for sale then he can get quite a few decent players from them.

If the final four (as published in the media) is accurate, my one concern is that none of the individuals has any first hand experience of Scottish football. Could this indicate that we're going to appoint an assistant with said knowledge or will the new man bring his own number two with him? Things seem to be moving on a pace now, and I reckon we could see a lot happening in the next seven days. And that's without thinking about the European game...
I think thats a good thing that we have someone with no experience of the SPL. McGhee was rather unkown to the 'current' SPL setup and got us to third. I think being to well known to the Scottish football system can leave these managers rather narrow minded and not able to see outside the SPL.
IF it is Gannon then I think from reading the Wiki on him then he will certainly shakes things up and hopefully with his experience on the lower leagues of England maybe pick out a few gems to sign.
