From Ross County to Accies in the league table , if any of those teams win another game before we do, we’re not catching them this season. St Johnstone is must win and assuming we get nothing as expected v Aberdeen and Rangers, so is St Mirren. There’s now enormous pressure on the manager and players and no wriggle room.

Pretty gutted to see Murphy go to Hibs to be honest although I suspect his wage demands would’ve rendered it a non starter as a realistic signing option for us. That said we’ve now got an extra 3 million quid in the bank. Also, think what Murphy in the team could do for us over every single forward we signed this summer! I’d rather have him over the lot of them combined.

It’ll be as many as Celtic want it to be with Turnbull no doubt in amongst the goals. Looks like we’ll be bottom of the league by the close of play today also, which is exactly where we deserve to be sadly. edit: Pretty much the worst combination of results for us today also. Looks like Turnbull will be a Celtic player by the end of the week. I’m so scunnered with everything Motherwell related part of me is past caring to be honest. I’d still rather he didn’t sign for them though and have to watch him ping them in v us right enough. Hopefully he’ll do what Armstrong and Tierney did and use them as a springboard to English Premiership. We don’t need a Klopp or a Bielsa but we do need a manager than doesn’t see us lose to Accies at home every season. We also need a manager who every now and then can sign a goal scorer, not sign 8 forward players of varying levels of pish that replaced the unused absolute dross that never played and was jettisoned from the previous season. Maybe not chasing proven goal scorers like McDonald and Ainsworth away either. The last time we only took 2 points from our opening 5 games was season 83/84, the last time we were relegated. Took us until 8 games in to win that season and only won 4 all season. What’s the odds on us beating that this season?

We’re a fucking laughing stock. And in major trouble this season. The writing was on the wall after the Utd game and it’s only gotten worse. Our head to head record v Accies is frankly abysmal and I honestly can’t see where the first win is coming from.

I don’t think any of us could have foreseen such a bad start and anything other than a win here would put the tin lid on it. With Parkhead up next then Rangers and Aberdeen soon after this genuinely is must win otherwise we could find ourselves marooned at the bottom and playing catch up before September is even out!

That performance was night and day from what we’ve delivered in the other games this season. I thought we deserved to win that to be honest.

What Lamie did at the penalty has got to be one of the most idiotic and completely needless acts I’ve ever seen from a Motherwell player. Who would’ve thought a 3rd choice player from Livingston could be capable of such things.

We look an absolute shambles so far from results to performances to team selection to formation to player omission and continued inclusion, and players fitness. 1 win in 11 or something? I like Robinson but the buck stops with one man all of the above sits with him.

Completely agree. Watt’s omission is criminal. We’re in big big bother on the evidence of what we’ve seen so far.

Back 4, minus Gallagher, must be the worst in the league. What an absolute riot! If I was Watt I’d be absolutely raging I hadn’t featured more considering what’s getting w game ahead of me.

We need 6 points from the next 2 home games as we’re unlikely to get anything at Easter Road and/or Parkhead. Failure to do so and the writing could be on the wall for a terrible season and Robinson would be under major pressure for not only that run but also as a continuation of last season. We could easily contrive to lose the opening 5/6/7 games here. Brutal news about Donnelly now too. If it wasn’t for bad luck we’d have no luck at all.... Injuries may limit who we are able to field at the back but I’d rather see Macguire in there instead of Mugabi. Grimshaw needs dropped but that’s unlikely. Middle to front I’d drop Hastie, or at least try him on the other side. and play 2 upfront.

Plenty actually. The embarrassing scenario I’m referring to is reasonably rare as far as I recall. Happy to stand corrected if anyone can list the times it’s happened.

My favourite seasons are the ones where we don’t get beat, fairly comfortably, at home by newly promoted teams who took 4 attempts to get out the league below.

We’ve just continuing the form of 2020 to be honest. 1 win in 10 or something? Honestly can’t see where the first win is coming from. Could quite conceivably lose the first 6/7/8 games and be completely detached. This seasons “Hearts of last season”.

Embarrassing to lose at home to a team that have been rattling about the championship for 4 seasons and weren’t even at full strength and yet probably won’t get an easier away win all season. Struggling to recall a more clueless start to season. Utterly toothless and shambolic with a genuine clown show in defence. what exactly have we been working on all summer?!

Anyone but them! An absolutely scandalous decision and the club may well have underestimated the depth of disgust amongst the support if it comes to pass. Of course we all know we are a selling club but if we can’t even enjoy the players we produce for even one full season I can’t help but think “what’s the fucking point?” Bet he goes straight into the next Scotland squad now.
