  1. He didn't take over until part way through the season - around November/December time IIRC and we went on a run ending in that 5-3 Rangers reverse. Sure I've commented on this on a previous thread - need to have a look.
  2. For those of a different era Alex Kennedy - Craigmark Burntonians
  3. Some of the players he brought in were quite adept at playing his system - it was those that were here when he came that couldn't
  4. FFS why do you people continually have to remind us that night - 'scarred for life' I was by the cheating bastards and 'bribery ref' JPR Gordon from Newport-on-Tay
  5. I think the 'human chinese fortune cookie' already suggested as much.
  6. Need to check that one, but you could be right - my first reaction was Ian Taylor, but I might be wrong. You just had to mention "that game" though..................!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Yes we did 2-1 (with a flu ridden squad, we had attempted to have the match postponed because we had insufficient fit players, still enough to stuff the Hibees mind you) - quite a rumpus in the Copeland Road end that night.
  8. He'd love that - me? not so sure. There was a time once. In fact I'd suggest I was nearly one of the 'original' bois, though we called it the choir in them days - simpler times
  9. Enjoyed a relatively 'fuss-free' visit the last time (Play-Off) final by bus, thought I'd do the same this time and take my grandson on his first visit to Ibrox. The lack of transport, might make me think twice about taking him. Thought there might have been more than one bus going? clearly not.
  10. Bump - Central branch full. Anyone got spare seats now looking for 4.
  11. See Stuart Carswell just signed for Dumbarton.
  12. I'm well mate thanks. Fine for a lift, going straight out on Motherwell after game. Maybe see you there. Have a guid New Year.
  13. Well hello stranger. Taking the family I hope. Park in the county buildings car park and 10 min walk to the ground. COYW
  14. Anyone confirm that WBA goalkeeper that night was Bruce Grobbelaar - apparently WBA had him on trial, but couldn't secure a visa/work permit for him and subsequently went on to Crewe Alexandria and Vancouver Whitecaps before signing for Liverpool.
  15. Yeah you're memory is shot to pieces - WP hardly got out of the blocks before both Cunningham and Regis were over the finishing line. He wasn't even close.
  16. Yes it was - in the day's when we took really big travelling supports to cup ties - we also had the end section closest to the main stand at ER that day as well. IIRC steward ended up with a broken leg. Skirmishes were amongst the fans and stewards though - no Hibees involved. We took a panning in the press for that.
