  1. I just think everyone's shiting it.
  2. Wishaw and Central are both running (1.15 from The Avenue and 1.30 from the Bentley) - contact details are available on Fir Park Corner.
  3. God I hope you miss that game (because we're not in it).
  4. Yes - chill ya fud - hence the LOL and the fact that he was prone when the shot hit meant that it was clearly a tongue in cheek remark. Were you at the game?
  5. LOL it was O'Brien's only decent header all day.
  6. Reading between the lines - so there could be a 'pay-at-the' gate option? Think I may have misinterpreted the tweet, MFC are guessing that we'll sell out? If so, and its an educated guess, then good news all round.
  7. I was more commenting on the lack of activity, on this thread, but for such an important game - a journey of under 4 miles, with excellent transport links, yes. Wow!! What overcharging is that - they look to be similar to most other clubs for an adult ticket. FFS we took 3 thousand to Nancy
  8. Is there really so little interest in this crucial game - seems to be reflected in ticket sales as well - thought demand might outstrip supply for this one - doesn't look like it. Anyway, 2-0 the 'well (Ainsworth & Pearson).
  9. Agree totally, I never said he should get a new contract - my comment was aimed purely at the ".... he was pish for us", unsubstantiated crap that we witness on here week in and week out.
  10. DEWELL has called a MORITORIUM. That's it close down all unrelated threads. How will focusing on the HERE and now in a forum help our survival - only the PLAYERS and MANAGEMENT can do that. This is a forum FFS. Oh and I fail to see how you come to that conclusion on Lawson - nobody's seen enough of him in a Claret & Amber jersey to form an opinion of any kind, be it good or bad.
  11. I'll raise you Jim Gillespie lol. Mike Larnach was a marquee signing (he'd been scoring goals for fun for Clydebank - alongside the late great Davie Cooper - before he moved south to Newcastle) - yeah he was mince, but definitely not the worst, but that debate is probably for a seperate thread.
  12. Not only is it accurate - it's straight from the Appendix to the SPFL rule book.
  13. LOL - yeah Mondays' after a defeat aren't the best time for me - even after 50+ years. Ask anyone who actually remembers being relegated and I'm almost certain that you'll get the same answer - not only 'in my opinion'. Ask a supporter of any of the teams stuck in that division whether it has been a 'pleasing experience' and where they would rather be. Whilst we as a country are a backwater in football terms, the only place to be is in the top division - that's why everyone below it wants to be in it and bursts a gut to get there. Seriously I don't want to go there again - like postiejim, I've seen us relegated twice and don't want it again. if you want a change, pick a game in the lower divisions and pop-along, I just hope you don't get the experience with us. Different - definitely; pleasant and enjoyable - I would doubt it (unless like Hearts you come straight back up).
  14. I appreciate you were only 7 at the time, but being stuck in the backwater leagues, isn't a pleasing experience, whether its for 1 season or several. If you want a year in the First Division (Championship, or whatever its called) go and follow someone else
  15. Yeah - sorry not used to this Twitter crap - thought it came from the official feed.
  16. We generally take a decent following to Firhill anyway - easy to get to - but like you hope for a hugely increased crowd. Really looking forward to this. Its a long while since a Thistle game meant anything (Scottish Cup replay - Willie Watson goal in the mid seventies anyone?)
  17. It was a league game - they played at Hampden for at least a season while they refurbished the midden with - eh! a more modern midden.
  18. Think there's confusion here between The Cobra and McGlinchey (who's contract may have expired before the World Cup).
  19. Now that I don't remember lol
  20. It was built AFAIR by MFC as a gym/fitness facility, for use both by the club and the general public. At one time there was even talk of building a walkover, between it and the ground. From what I gathered at the time - they did sell it, but it was a forced sale - FPC were removed from their bar/lounges under the main stand and forced to buy and move or fold (it was at this point that link between FPC and the club was severed - it had of course originally been set-up to generate funds for MFC - any year end profits being gifted to the club). Basically it became a millstone round the club's neck and they had to move it on and the FPC were clearly seen as the ideal candidates, though I don't think by the FPC committee at the time.
  21. What are the rumours about what's happening to it - not really interested in the 'who' part. Don't tell half a story Busta
  22. The Club built and already owned the 'white elephant' - why take it on again, when in the current climate of pubs shutting its likely to be a concern that's only likely to ever provide any sustainable income every 2nd Saturday (or whatever day the TV companies deem the games to go ahead).
  23. LOL says he with the address 'Southern Thailand'
