Sorry Guys....unhappy Topic But Need Some Help!
steelman1991 replied to walking down the Fir Park's topic in Club Chat
Cheers, no point in speculating, no doubt will hear in the fullness of time what happened, just makes me sad to think that it all might have gone off again. I don't think I would have been quite so reasonable about pressing charges had I been involved, throw the book at them I say. If no charges are pressed, can the authorities still impose football banning orders, without a court case? Anyone in the know? -

Fair do's mate - didn't know how close you were to the incident - didn't think for a minute that any punch had been thrown prior to the attack. Any news on the incident that happened when the bus arrived at Wishaw. By the way the bluetooth transfer was succesful - thanks - my nephew adores Star Wars and having got a new mobile for his birthday, now has a treasured Yoda ringtone as well. I was sitting directly in front of you. Yir - good to see that action is taken, we can't afford to sweep these type of things under the carpet. As a positive to all this doom and gloom I would like to take this opportunity to thank the organisers for making the trip as comfortable and enjoyable as it was - without the dedication and commitment of these individuals none of the rest of us would have had such an easy time getting to the game - thanks I for one certainly appreciate your efforts. -

That's the worst of these types of incidents - stories are generated and opinions based on 'facts' (otherwise known as Chinese Whispers). The addition of alcohol dosen't help matters any either. Yes there is a certain sympathy with the 'Older' man, but unlike you I didn't see what actually happened to spark the incident, but was relying on 2nd hand stories - your comment, if true - and I have no reason to disbelieve you any more than I have to believe others I spoke to - it puts a slightly different slant on things, but still doesn't change my utter contempt for anyone willing to take this action against an 'old' man - no matter what the provocation might be. -

Polomint did you happen to have a 'yoda' ringtone which you shared early in the journey . Please tell me this didn't happen at Wishaw - though the potential was there after the threats had been made on the return journey - if it has then I think the perpetrator should also receive some form of punishment - he is a well-known 'face' (having been married very publicly on the fir park playing surface some years ago). Names and addresses were given to bus organisers so a method of elimination should provide the necessary information to the club. Can anyone confirm what actually happened. Great result on the park last night - huge OG off it though -

Nope not him Stall - but he was in Llanelli - saw him on the tele re-run this morning. EDIT - Just noticed Polomint beat me too it. Mate you were obviously on the same bus as me - where were you sitting? -

I don't know the old fella personally, but I'm sure many on here would know him - he has travelled the length and breadth of the country following Motherwell for as many years as I can remember - he's instantly recognisable by his attire - a hooped "knitted" Claret and Amber jumper and matching tammy - really this took the edge off the day for me entirely. -
Thanks for the kind words 'Jack' - it was amusing seeing those cars backed up at B&Q and I could just imagine some poor sod stuck up a ladder, waiting on the missus returning with the replacement tin of emulsion. Glad our march made a good impression especially on those of the 'oval' ball fraternity - had a great day.
-
Hear, hear - the locals couldn't have been more friendly, with the exception of some young ASBO candidates at the end of the tunnel on the entrance to the stadium. The young lad who was roundly booed during the march for wearing a h*n top looked totally bemused and looked as though he could have killed his father for making him wear it.

Both got home safe and sound - I was on the bus with both - got home around 5.00 am, agree with all sentiments - ban them immediately and withdraw season tickets - bang out of order and spoiled an otherwise great day - then to top it all the 'Uncle' of the two lads wanted to have a go on the bus home. -
OK then - Tell the Sned he was shite - he certainly wasn't the worst we ever had - Derek Murray anyone? And how about Bob Latchford or Ally Hunter for worst keeper? Wish it had been 'Bob', unfortunately it was his brother Peter we got - Bob was a prolific centre forward with Everton in the day. If you're talking keepers John Fallon must be up there - as might 'The Girvan Lighthouse' - how he ever managed to play top-flight is beyond me.

He could have done that from his office in the tattiedome.

Good grief - a european trip without 'foghorn' - you not going to make it, or are you asking for someone else? -

The games on Thursday - get yourself to Llanelli - never mind the telly - Part-timer -
Well Boo Hoo for McGarry - that's a real sensible way to debate things and after such a good start too with your original post. I seem to be in the minority - certainly on this board - that feels that McGarry gets a raw deal - I agree with Wellfan1984 for the most part, though not for a minute do I think he is a shoe horn in for a starting place every week, but he certainly shows more enthusiasm, than some of the more established favourites of the vocal masses on this board - Hammell, DLS (the one trick pony - down the bye-line and 'open the gates') and Lasley. But to answer your first question in the original post - yes you are living in cloud cuckoo land and I'll no doubt wave back while travelling to Firhill, Almondvale (If its still open) et al (did it before and will no doubt do it again, if or when the time comes) - so I take it you wouldn't be going then (Glory Hunter).
-
That's it then that's the hitch - he watched us.
-
Love your optimism - but can't we have both? Edited - sorry should have said "we NEED both"
-
Shit - he must have been at the game last night.
-
You serious - source?
-
Try pushing him anywhere just now would be a major achievement - seems to have bulked up a bit in the 'close-season' Seriously lets forget about Hammell in the middle of the park - he's a wing-back of sorts, but with the exception of his crossing ability, offers little in composure or passing ability - in fact I don't think he has improved any since leaving and coming back from Southend - not saying he's a bad player, just that he hasn't improved any
-
Some might see that as controversial GazzyB, but quite a fair assessment of the individual performances with one or two exceptions, though collectively as a team we were anything but good - and I think this is where others will have a 'pop'. Agree about McGarry, Saunders, though I'm not quite as convinced as others (he gave the impression of a 'one-trick-pony' - beat the man outside and attempt the cross - good if you have the pace and or ball skill to do either or both. Unfortunately he showed neither last night, as soon as the Llanelli full back realised he was unable to cut inside him, he showed him to the outside and had him on toast for the rest of the game. Its all about opinions though.
-
As opposed to a bunch of kids and some makeweight duds from the SPL - I really do despair for us as a support sometime - the man's only in the job, has barely got his feet under the desk and we've got some who think he's a failure waiting to happen .
-
No. Edit - see well-army beat me to it.
-
YES - 100% correct and refreshingly different from the usual cagey reaction of the SFA mafia who are afraid to step on the prima donna's toes. I know the private and public face is often quite different, but think it is time that all the players, inluding some of the youngsters need to take a long hard look at themselves regarding their fitness and professional levels - if some are so unfit after 40 days of the end of the season, then questions need to be asked about their own professionalism. - succinctly summed up the whole of Scottish Football over the past 30 years in one sentence and after only a few days in the job.
-
At last some semblance of realism brought to the usual round of McGarry 'baiting' yet again - bet he wishes that Fitzy had been playing last night - at least he would have taken some of the heat of. Didn't think that McGarry was the worst on the park - Sutton carries that award off by some considerable distance imo. At least most of the time McGarry showed for the ball, attempted to be creative and was anxious to become involved - Sutton (?) well he just looked anxious that he might have to get involved. Can't seem to share the optimism of others that we are capable of turning this around - though will be happy to be proved wrong. Still looking forward to the trip mind

You just knew this comment was going to come back and bite - Mourin-Hoe is noticeably conspicuous by his absence this evening. By the way how do you like your Humble Pie? In large helpings I would think, perhaps a little more humility and respect might not go amiss in future.
