  1. Says on uefa website the seeded teams in group 3 (which we're unseeded in) are Beroe Stara Zagreb/hapoel tel aviv, sevilla, Metaluhr donetsk Kuban krasnodar Dila gori/aalborg Differdange/utrecht Unless I'm reading it completely wrong. Can't link on my phone but its the main story on the europa league page
  2. Sure the club are desperate to get it done, I mean all the hits on the website/twitter/facebook and journalists digging around must be a right pain...
  3. On the radio Scotland news that McManus will be signing a 1 year deal with us today
  4. The only people who ever come out with this shit are celtic and rangers fans who find it impossible to believe that people really don't care about either of them.
  5. I'm always happy enough when players move to teams where they won't play against us...... We'll probably get rangers in both cups now!
  6. Did we not go back to Chapmans?
  7. It's also posted in the deals and steals section and all the information is there
  8. I thought it looked much better when I actually saw it, still not keen on the collar right enough
  9. Did we not manage to sell/loan goram to man united....
  10. Socks are quality, the collar is just weird - maybe the jersey will be a grower......
  11. Saw at least a couple on twitter thinking it was pretty mental from their club
  12. Dundee uniteds stance on this is incredible. To not even reply to correspondence is ridiculous considering they keep banging on about running clubs as a business. Any well run business would reply, even if it wasn't with the response you want.
  13. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/scotland/22153661 sorry cant link properly from my phone
  14. If Doncaster only had sponsorship in place if the league reconstruction went through surely that's his coat on a shakey peg. Obviously he could have other sponsorship in the wings but thats not been the noises really
  15. While with the voting structure not changing I support Ross county and st Mirrens decision I fear we'll be fucked with respect to getting a league sponsor.
  16. I completely agree, so much relies on once people are going making it easy to keep them going. It's a slippery slope when people miss a couple of games, suddenly realise it doesn't really adversely effect their life, they're not missing that much, possibly saving money, and it makes it easier to miss games in the future. It's ties in with the cheaper entry, people who never come along aren't going to come to one game which has reduced entry then suddenly decide they need to find 20 quid every second week to get in. It's not the way the real world works, especially now that money is tight for so many people.
  17. I think Doncaster was brought in specifically for his skills in bringing in money and sponsorship. While bearing in mind he might not have a fantastic "product" to deal with I see no evidence that he's doing any better than anyone previously and seems to be relying on a league change to sort anything for this season. From the looks of it all his eggs are in one basket and if the new setup doesn't go through we'll struggle for sponsorship next season
  18. That's the part I don't understand, I think you still have the situation where the "excitement" largely boils down to that one game where you end up going up or down.
  19. Thanks for the summary nwf With respect to the sky deal and sponsorship Derek weir said at the last meeting they couldn't put any figure on it as sky wouldn't give an indication until you took them a finalised package. While I know that's not really how use world works I cant help but feel that a deal for this and the sponsorship appears better for a new set up because all the energy has been put into getting a deal for this. As for the attendance after it coming out in the media that we would be voting for the proposals from people I know at least a few decided not to go on that basis. I'd personally still have went if I could have but I think a lot of people are only interested in the final decision rather than the rationale.
  20. I assume someone will anyway but can someone who's able to make the meeting stick a wee summary on here? Due to other commitments I cant make it but I'm keen to hear what's been said
  21. That was part of the argument put forward by Derek weir. He said that 8-8-8 would allow better wealth distribution then we could look at moving to a bigger league when there are more teams on an even footing.
  22. I think some at that meeting believed that the voting would be changed. For the part of the meeting I was at there was plenty chat about having to change everything in one go now but being able to modify that in the future, eg by scrapping the 888 and moving to a bigger league at some point after wealth was better distributed. I think this coupled with the belief of some that the voting system would be changed lead to at least a "yes" from some who may not have voted yes had they thought the voting system was staying. As I've said I couldn't stay until the vote so could be way off here but from what I heard I could see the above being a likely scenario.
  23. I'm not convinced that there's any point changing anything if the voting doesn't change. Then if the change doesn't work but works for two teams how are we ever going to get out of it. To be honest even after the well society meeting I wasn't at all convinced of the changes (though I did leave early so could have missed some points) too many "ifs" and "buts" Scunnered with this whole thing
  24. I'd love to believe otherwise but I'm falling into the smoke and mirrors category
  25. That's pretty much where I stand on what happened. There were a couple of things I thought were a wee bit wooly to be honest
