It's possible that if clubs focussed more on getting adults into games than Kids and crowds are once again healthy with kids watching their Parents, uncles, aunts, big cousins attending matches then these same kids that might not attend as children will have an asspiration to attend to see why all the adults go 'up by' every other week they then attend in adult family groups Kids don't have to be hooked into attending in early years they can easily get hooked later in life after all what does a teenager want most?, something they've not been handed on a plate all through childhood. I tend to slightly agree with Rocky that clubs have too long focussed on getting families in through gates as I don't see crowds growing with the strategy. Look to the old firm who for years had full houses and never once chased families, only now they are grasping at families to fill half empty stadiums. Families should not be discouraged, but nor should any group/individual by tagging the club in one demographic. Apologies for continuing the thread off topic

I expect Jim O'Brien will be looking to the future, I reckon he'll already have spoke with the boss or at least figured out if he's in the medium to long term plan. So if he has to go and whilst I prefer him moving out of the SPL, I've no doubt he consider Aberdeen he has to look after his income after all, no sentiment in football

It was widely reported after the game on Saturday that Jim Gannon left the ground without speaking to the press, on the radio station I was listening to in the car they said Motherwells media officer was unable to say why and Lukas Jutkiewicz would be speaking from the 'Well perspective. Now I don't know for certain but.........ah fuck It I'm not even that concerned about the medja hacks getting their nose put out. I will say that I'm not criticising Jim Gannon for it, it concerns me however knowing his history of refusing to speak to certain parties that he hasn't even been able to speak to the official site. Silence could quite simply be some time off for the international break not on the bus - who cares if true or not talks with other clubs- he still with Motherwell and from what information is available is doing a good job at managing the structure of playing side of things. Should be relatively easy, Saturdays game was pay at the gate but with that and some decent form the crowd was larger than the previous all ticket games the larger crowd may make them think about tickets for the game on 13th February but even then a phone call to the club will secure you one for collection (possibly delivery) or if it comes to it put a request on here and someone will be kind enough to get them for you ( i'll do it if I'm around then)

I've heard murmurs from within football that approaches have been made from a couple of clubs and indeed talks are permitted He might very well leave, for very many reasons that many seem to have ignored like family,friends etc and even for ambition tied in with factors like these. He seems the type to be loyal to those he has made promises too, but likewise the sort that will have no qualms about shafting those that have crossed him ( in his eyes) he has been proven to be a very focussed individual, and if the approaches were made I'd expect him to talk things through especially if it is with people that he may have told to come back to him if things were different but I'd also expect him to take a balanced view on it all. He continues to operate like he'll be here for the duration, professionally unlike others, and as such we can only hope that he does hang around to fulfill what could be a fine destiny before moving on.

That annoyed the fuck out of me at the time and still grates that we don't have a 'protector' for our inexperienced players, it certainly looked like he was fucking with Ross's head I'd imagine someone like Paul Quinn would have 'removed' Wesolowski had he seen that developing. As for the game, Gannon got it wrong, we were cruising in the first half, confidence was high and it looked like it would be only a matter of time to wrap up 3 points Something was blatently wrong after half time, perhaps 20-25mins of the most hapless football I've every seen from Motherwell, clearly some had been put right off their game with the defence already being weakened/experimental, hooking Craggs and dropping Hately in was crazy, why play 3 from 4 out of position instead of moving in Reynolds or the lad Page. Still plenty of glimpses of the good thats around the team just now but so frustrating that much of that good is undone by bravado? Oh aye and Jim O'brien should get some coaching on being focussed on winning instead of fighting/arguing the injustice of a decision he doesn't agree with, when we're chasing a game we need the ball in play not playing into the oppositions hands by running the clock down arguing with the officials On a whole another step in the development, point in the bag, strikers scoring, good fightback but tinged with concern of unrest and greed for more
