I think its a great gesture by the club and cannot understand any of the supposed negatives the stadium is almost 2/3 empty at lot of games So any gesture towards any organisation or members of the community is good in my opinion doesn't seem to be any negativity towards giving boys clubs free entry? or reducing prices for kids/families in general, (do adults not know what they are signing up for when they have kids, why should they get cheap/free entry ) Well done MFC

And as much as I'm happy to have Craggs in the squad, I'm hoping Saunders keeps the progress up, as having him up against the height of Dodds and co is the better choice imho

I'm gutted Big Hutch is still out injured Reckon he's got an incredible future ahead of him and at Motherwell, whilst being a hugely important part of it, we will only get a few years to enjoy him So every week is another opportunity lost for him to be part of things here. But I have no worries about Crazy legs Saunders playing either A young exciting team with some inconcistencies , in the summer we worried about even having a squad to put out, so I'll gladly accept what we have, and not call for drastic changes just for the sake of any one player having a a couple of minor mistakes during their development

anyone else get the feeling the management at Fir Park are starting to make good in roads with the club being more focussed to the needs/wants of the fanbase and the community. I remember reading on here that it was one of Leeanne Dempsters goals to position the club at the heart of the community. I'm pleased with how things are going but can't help feel we don't get to hear about most of it, Club Legends have been placed in key roles in the club the halfseason ticket payments deal will hopefully pay off and get some more fans back in regularly Scots troops & families have been given tickets by the club Community initiaitives around coaching and the like, breakfast clubs, Logintolearn matches I'm sure lots more happens and more is in the pipeline, maybe the silence is a measure of success in itself sure there are many things which could still be sorted/improved and hopefully the club will listen when things arise and to the ongoing niggles, but things sure seem to be heading the right way

It's possible that if clubs focussed more on getting adults into games than Kids and crowds are once again healthy with kids watching their Parents, uncles, aunts, big cousins attending matches then these same kids that might not attend as children will have an asspiration to attend to see why all the adults go 'up by' every other week they then attend in adult family groups Kids don't have to be hooked into attending in early years they can easily get hooked later in life after all what does a teenager want most?, something they've not been handed on a plate all through childhood. I tend to slightly agree with Rocky that clubs have too long focussed on getting families in through gates as I don't see crowds growing with the strategy. Look to the old firm who for years had full houses and never once chased families, only now they are grasping at families to fill half empty stadiums. Families should not be discouraged, but nor should any group/individual by tagging the club in one demographic. Apologies for continuing the thread off topic

Fantastic achievments by all involved with the Motherwell Girls Congratulations would have thought the club would have been all over such positive news associated with the club , outwith the general good news that deserves publicity, from a business sense a real opportunity missed to promote the club in the community

I'm sure 'someone' has mentioned to the press that 'media savvy' Mcghee was talking to Jim and 'others' at Leitchy's party last week. Slow news week, Gannon in the huff with the press, Wee snippet dropped into the hacks who'll be happy to run with it No real surprise. I expect Jim O'Brien will be looking to the future, I reckon he'll already have spoke with the boss or at least figured out if he's in the medium to long term plan. So if he has to go and whilst I prefer him moving out of the SPL, I've no doubt he consider Aberdeen he has to look after his income after all, no sentiment in football

It was widely reported after the game on Saturday that Jim Gannon left the ground without speaking to the press, on the radio station I was listening to in the car they said Motherwells media officer was unable to say why and Lukas Jutkiewicz would be speaking from the 'Well perspective. Now I don't know for certain but.........ah fuck It I'm not even that concerned about the medja hacks getting their nose put out. I will say that I'm not criticising Jim Gannon for it, it concerns me however knowing his history of refusing to speak to certain parties that he hasn't even been able to speak to the official site. I'll get ma blinkers

Silence could quite simply be some time off for the international break not on the bus - who cares if true or not talks with other clubs- he still with Motherwell and from what information is available is doing a good job at managing the structure of playing side of things. I've said it before regards McGhee & others, that the measure of a manager is not only what is achieved but how things are that are left behind, things look more positive on all fronts

Forum is just fine when it comes to Club chat, if anything needs cleaned up its the attempts at banter that deflect from snippets of information that scratch at the surface of the truth folk can just carry on with their blinkers on if it makes them happy, others can sift thru' all the shite and make up their own minds
