  1. its really 2 in 7, but even at 2 in 45 , what a pair of games to win easily best 2 games in last decade or more every cloud and that Jim, Cheers
  2. I've taken a free drink at many events around the world for many a toast I've not agreed with, no issue see the laughing and joking as inferiors visting the big club, that "we're here for a draw" , that's pathetic , I'm sure Warburton was pleased to hear our Director come out with that. Too many Glasgow firm surrender monkeys in Scottish Football, sadly plenty in our club.
  3. list on the right hand column here, Dave. http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/resources/documents/ClubLicensing/2015/ClubLicensingStatusDec2016.pdf Reagan on the SFA site today http://www.scottishfa.co.uk/scottish_fa_news.cfm?page=2986&newsID=16742&newsCategoryID=1
  4. its not the same commentators.....Lewis Irons and Scott Mullen during week, Irons and Barnstaple today - they difference is one big continuous whine and child like evaulation of opposition
  5. Craig Goldthorp ‏@Cgoldthorp_MT 2-0 Motherwell. Scott McDonald half volley from Louis Moult pass. You little beauty!
  6. apologies , I'll go and ask everyone to shut down their instant social media accounts and focus on a discussion forum maybe a group email would enhance the match thread?
  7. Convinced McGhee doesn't want to be with us. his almost weekly fights strike me as concerning much talk of his 'development of youth' same guy was telling fans at agm he was going to farm out the likes of Cadden as he wasn't ready I know not to believe the words coming from his mouth, but at some point he has to inspire fans to give a fek I'm not even sure he knows who's injured when he gets here for the press engagements his choices on subs may be influenced by the squad, he helped create, but Thomas for Lasley etc is just not in line with a focussed coach wish we would pick up a few points to make it less stressful , but just not believing he has 100% invested in us. Edit: tonights midfield , whilst looking on paper to be balanced may well be done in by 35-40minutes, with lack of match fitness and a guy that goes into limp mode 40-80min weekly and where is the Lad Jake Hastie to provide support from the bench?
  8. Not even a hint of a promotion to get the large travelling support in, get your £23 tickets here
  9. So the cooncil' are running a sporting hall of fame type thing for Ravenscraig, and they want nominations. Who associated with Motherwell FC should be nominated? https://www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk/index.aspx?articleid=32765#584db61e0c8b6 they ask 3 questions to help the selection: Sporting discipline* Connection with North Lanarkshire * Born here, Lives here, Trains or Coaches here or Other' Why do you think this individual should be considered for inclusion? (Include all notable achievements and dates where possible.)*
  10. the debate on potential players moving on or not is all good and the club repeatedly stating that they dont 'need' to sell is all very well in creating the correct public profile But the quoted section, gives me the absolute fear if I have picked it up correctly and they are selling the myth of increased revenue in a couple of seasons, which would dictate decisions here and now? thats is right up there with the top six and two cups runs when its comes to the sort of mismanagement which has almost bankrupt the club over the last seven? or so years. the club needs to be finanacially responsible and start looking to create that reserve fund long whispered about , but due to overspending has never materialised, despite fans stepping up, in fact that fund has turned into significant debt. the loans are all good, the restructing fine, the position of not having to sell has been well worked but is temporary, until debts and reserve amounts are reversed, if the club is to be seen as being finanicially responsible to continue and grow the fans contributions as well as trade responsibly, then any gambling on retaining players when good offers are made would be irresponsible. the club shouldn't be looking at the debt amount and thinking we've nothing to pay for 3 years, they should be looking at the debt and thinking we need to aggresvely target a reserve fund of £2million in three years to trade responsibly through the lean summers and winters... (edit- not leaving it to fans contributions, that should be a society fund, who even knows what Capital expense could be demanded in the next decade)
  11. “I am delighted to be back at Fir Park and Motherwell"
  12. Batter them again.. Even better if they have, leaves them with a cash bill to pay us around 40% of the estimated gate income, calculated with average price per head entry prices that the clubs agree.
  13. I'd question the attendance which was announced for thistle game If only to get dodge posting again
  14. so, i don't particulary have any sudden heart felt concern for Laing, but lets be clear, Laings quotes havn't been refuted in any way... Burrows responses were that the club are monitoring him, Laing was quoted stating he was gettting, no feedback. two quite different factors. sending a player out on development loan - and effectively casting him aside would be a poor reflection on squad/player management. If that is the case.
  15. but the email could tell us about Lanarkshire being in Gridlock that day due to the M74 closure.
  16. what sort of profile are you trying to portray? Male or Female?
  17. Delighted the club have kept the south stand open keeps visitors away from the POD which has no segregation. and stops feckin about the visitors, thats the away stand and thats where they should be. biggest drop in crowds is visiting support, messing them about every visit isnt encouraging, dont suppose the gate prices coudld be reviewed soon?
  18. No point in getting into a shouting match but that's just not true, and you probably know it Club is a business as part of a co-operative selling products, up to that business group to make sure that as much of the population are tempted to pay for the products and remain as customers. Every single one of us will know one or more person that no longer attends, most of them have moved on to other things, not just for one reason but for an accumulation of reasons. its down to the business to stop the negatives mounting up, to a point, punters stop attending. having an arrogant egotistical man as the figure head of the team is a factor - club opted to live with that. add it to a list of factors and it may well be a deciding point for some. doesnt mean their opinions should be held in derision , maybe if there was decent match scheduling, half decent gate prices, standing sections etc, some would still be in a habit of attending matches maybe with mates and could live through the negative they see in McGhee.
  19. Your thoughts and votes please...
  20. using the Bank of Englands inflation calculator, shows attendance cost has almost doubled doubled in real terms http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/education/Pages/resources/inflationtools/calculator/flash/default.aspx find entrance prices and apply them over any year to year for a comparison Cup final ticket for us in 1991 was £7 apply inflation up to 2015 should mean around £13.55 , SFA highly promoted 2015 as discounted family final equivalent tickets were £25 Does anyone have evidence of walk up gate prices over a similar term? as they are what I believe are the significant price changes that had the impact on crowd (incl visitors) ( being as season ticket deals to some families are fairly good but require a commitment) second point being; horrendous fixture scheduling , meaning the attendance habit/routine was broken for majority of PATG punters and in all the other factors such as football being available at saturation point in most fans households, leaves very few people willing to shell out upwards of £30 to leave the house in the event hey find themselves available when a local game is on, let alone £40+ to plan a away trip when they are a t a loose end
  21. Seriously, what a coup to get these names ( and others?) to give interviews in a one off book for Motherwell fans. only a right back and a couple of midfielders away from a squad that would be a real treat to watch! Really hope fans get behind it and you get a good amount towards the Epilepsy alarm. Love the touch of printing names on the cover as well - http://www.mfc1886.com/product/mfc-podcast-bookazine-pre-order/
