Bump: I think a group membership is a good idea, but need to reiterrate that, if anyone can possibly afford it, even spread over longer payment terms, then, they should get in touch with the club and discuss options with one of the staff administering the Society and join with a personal membership. They've been very good so far, helping folk set payment plans and its worth remembering that even though there is an initial target of £250K, we really need memberships to tally over £1,000,000 to make it viable longer term so they club need to know that folk are keen to join in even if the timing isn't perfect right now I've sent over £20 Andy, I'll stick in some more if it helps balance the books in future, to complete the membership requirement

Its not a safety net 'just in case', its a safety net thats been needed and supplied almost every other season by John Boyle providing short term funding as no one else would its not a scare tactic, its about real life cashflow issues that will no longer be covered by a cash rich chairman sure the club will survive but without the cash in the bank at any time, things would have to change. I'm quite enjoying how things are going, cant understand folk that would want it change for the worse and actively bad mouth what seems like a good option to help prevent that? so it is cash thats needed and will be sought in other ways if enough fans cant contribute

Baws , what should be important is , Do you want Motherwell Football Club to remain a viable entity going forward? not to be whinging about what decisions have been taken in the past, all this pish talk about TV deals is for another thread with the other pant wetters the society is about allowing MFC to go forward not look back, and the very nature of the society means that if the decisions being taken aren't to your liking you can influence change. but the financial security is the first and foremost requirment, as without it the club will have a severe cashflow crisis in the lean times due to the very nature of the way football clubs and the leagues operate. if you can, stump up, if you cant, keep an eye on developments and consider it as soon as it becomes a viable option for you, and hope MFC can get it off the ground.
