  1. Sorry mate, but that's just daft levels of whataboutery. I don't give a flying fuck what "they" get up to. Two wrongs don't make a right. The Motherwell fans who were throwing things on the park or chanting the 'poor taste' songs were bang out of order and it, IMO, has absolutely no place at Fir Park.
  2. I was also at that end of the East, and it wasn't the "Bois" who were chanting that. It was, mostly, a number of young kids who probably had no real idea what they were singing about. Granted, it's still inexcusable. What's even worse though is seeing grown men in their 40s and 50s, there with kids of their own, smiling and laughing as they chant about paedophilia and Lisbon Lions being dying over the next few years. It's absolutely disgraceful and pathetic behaviour, and we're a long, long way past the "It's only a song at the fitba" stage.
  3. https://spfl.co.uk/news/article/betfred-cup-final-ticket-information/ £30-£40 for an adult. Would guess our allocation is around 12,000?
  4. Rangers had a 38,000 allocation, but didn't sell them all. Motherwell had just under 8000 fans there. As for the final, I assume we'll agree to give Celtic the whole North Stand rather than half, and we'll get the West Stand and half of the South.
  5. Indeed. Some horrific defending. Also, the equaliser in the '76 game is remarkably similar to Darren Jackson's last minute equaliser in the '91 final.
  6. I think Dunne has done ok since coming in, and his pace is certainly an asset. However, he had a shocker today. Rangers would take full advantage if he has any kind of brain fart next week. I'd certainly look to bring in Hammell.
  7. Good three points, but honestly that pitch is awful. The bounce of a high ball is similar to what it would be on concrete. I felt Bowman put in an incredible shift today, never gave the defenders a minutes peace. Should have scored at the end though. Hartley was superb at the back too. Great organiser and wasn't shy to let Dunne know he'd fucked up more than once. Another goal for the big man as well. What a ratio he's got!
  8. Just watched the presser with Peter Hartley. I like the cut of his jib. Great attitude.
  9. Spencer and Goram were rumoured to be on about £8k a week at Motherwell. Absolutely mental if it's anywhere near being true. Edit - Not including Spencer's £100k, ahem, loan he got...
  10. Aye. Poor one today, but it was unlikely Aberdeen would be as poor again. If we can pick ourselves up and get three points against Partick, we'll be in a decent position going into the international break. Not wanting to get too negative, but Carl McHugh was really, really poor today, and not for the first time this season.
  11. The two Harolds is it not? Bishop & Shipman.
  12. Moult and Campbell will understandably take a lot of the plaudits tonight, but what a performance from Ryan Bowman. What a transformation we've seen from him over the last few months. He put in a shift and a half tonight, and his partnership with Moult is looking like it'll be very, very productive.
  13. Any chance of getting Allan Campbell to sign a 15-year contract? What a player he is.
  14. Kipre lost a challenge he shouldn't have on the edge of his own box, which directly led to the second goal for Hibs. Pretty sure that's worse than anything Dunne did.
  15. Right Louis sign the contract now. Get a better wage and get you're move in the summer with us getting a fee
  16. If the issue with Tait is long term, Grimshaw could be an option for the right wing-back role. I thought he did well playing on the right when he was here.
  17. Some of our fans need a bit of a reality check as to where we are in the scheme of things. Talk of a £1m, for a player in the last year of his deal, is crazy talk. It's just not going to happen at our level. Where we are going to get our cash is down the line, on the likes of add-ons and sell-on clauses. If we can get an upfront fee of around £250k for Ben, good money for our club when we got him for nothing, with some good add-ons, then it represents good business for the club and reflects the "model".
  18. Kipre. Absolute hero, and it's no even the end of August yet...
  19. Unless the highlights tell me otherwise, then I'll believe that "goal" from Moult was 120 yards over the line. Could not believe that wasn't given.
  20. Cedric Kipre. Take a bow son! Delighted for big Bowman to get a goal at Fir Park. Hopefully can go on a wee run now.
  21. Agree with that on McCulloch. Had a very good career for what ability he had, and he also made us a few quid as well. I'm absolutely delighted, though, that he's relying on Dom Thomas to create goals for them. If that continues to be the case, they're fucked and we don't need to worry about automatic relegation.
  22. A good three points. Not a great performance but I don't really care now. Felt sorry for Bowman. There were times where it seemed half the time were trying to give him a goal but it never came off. Didn't stop trying though, thought he did well. Will be a tough game. The sooner we get a settled formation the better.
