    Mcghee Out?

I'll say it for him. WHERE'S THE MONEY BURROWS? WHERE'S THE MONEY??
  2. Considering they are leaving Pittodrie soon, I'd go for it. Good chance for them to see the ground before it's no longer there.
  3. When will the prediction scores and leaderboard be updated? No updates since the end of January. You can't get the staff these days...
  4. Who do you think would win between Wolves & Aberdeen? Winner to play Bellshill Athletic.
  5. It wasn't the 6, 7 or 8 that quite a few predited (I hope the ones who heavily backed -2, -3, -4 etc have a miserable night). We've got three bad games out the way, we've a gap between us and the bottom two and we are only two points off the top six. A good chance to go on a wee run in the coming weeks. Onwards!

If Robinson is back, we may as well punt McFadden. He's offered us nothing. No longer good enough to be a player. Not good enough as a coach.

    Mcghee Out?

I think we're now in a position where the manager wants to stay on, the board also wants him to stay on, but the poisonous atmosphere coming from the fans means we're getting close to a tipping point. I don't think we'll get a better manager if he goes. However I now believe it cant go on. Get to the end of the season, finish somewhere between 7th and 10th, and go our separate ways. The element of our support, who've had the he pitchfork out since almost day one, will win in the end. Whether they'll prove to be right, will become clear in the next 18 months or so. Looking at the task he was given (stay in the League and get a few youngsters in the side) then hes achieved what was asked. However, it's not been done in the way anyone would have really wanted. Losing six and seven goals to another team in the same league is unacceptable, not matter which way you slice it. I've always been a fan of McGhee, but it's no longer working for all the relevant parties. He should go at the end of the season, along with some of the senior pros in the squad. There will be some massive decisions that need to be made by those in charge over the next few months.
  8. Samson - Tait, Heneghan, McManus, Jules, Hammell - Cadden, Lucas, Lasley, Pearson - Moult 3-0 Motherwell. #Scenes
  9. How much was paid into the Well Society in 2016?
  10. Yeah, credit where it's due to Les for this one. I will look into increase my DD slightly on the back of this. If anyone was having any doubts as to whether sticking a few quid a month was worth it or not, surely this should put them to bed. I appreciate not everyone has loads of spare cash (I certainly don't) but every 'Well fan should have a spare £5 per month for one of the big passions in their life, no?

Sorry for the delay in replying. I had hoped to do so last night but was busy wiping out a troll cabal on a forum in Asia. They are rife these days. Anyway, you sir are a fucking mentalist. Maybe you should organise a friendly between Forest Green Rovers and Shotts Bon Accord to see who wins?

    Mcghee Out?

I'm struggling to know where to start what that big bowl of word salad. Dearie me. I did enjoy the nightshift on a Friday/CELTIC on a Saturday story though. Retro. Anyway, back to it. So on one hand you are saying players from Conference level aren't fit enough to go straight into the first team at Scottish Premiership level (with the exception of notable successes Moult & Johnson, along with Tait & Heneghan I assume you mean?) and they require a bit of time, help and fitness preparation. On the other hand, you're criticising the club for fucking players up by not playing them straight away? On what grounds do you know that Bowman, Freer etc aren't on specific training regimes? On what grounds do you know these guys aren't being given the time and help to get up to the speed of the game up here? Have you spoken to Ryan lately? Once you've sobered up a wee bit, maybe you can let us know your actual point you're trying to make.

I thought you liked Mark O'Brien, Joe?

  15. It's known as Luke Watt syndrome in this part of the word. Your post is spot on, btw.
  16. I've played 7s with you twice. Scrapping going to ground when tackling takes about 70% of your game away...

I wouldn't agree with your 'failure of management' words (signing Bowman then wasn't through choice, it was only because that's when we had the money available), however you make some other good points. You've heard a few of the Conference players come up here and one of the first things they say is how quicker the game is up here. So that's obviously going to mean they are required to be fitter. Your point of a pre-season is absolutely valid, and I think it'll be next season before you can properly judge the likes of Bowman and Freer. I've said from pretty much day one that I believe we've taken Bowman to be the replacement for Moult, and we probably assumed Moult would have been away in January. It didn't happen, but I assume he'll be gone in the summer, and Bowman will get that chance to do a proper pre-season and be the number one striker from August. As Joe said earlier, he played very well in the game against Hamilton, so there is a player there in my eyes. The number of people happy to write these guys off because they haven't hit the ground running is very poor, I also agree. However, you say that it's a failure of management for not developing or nurturing these players. How do you know the likes of Bowman & Freer haven't been signed with a view to next season? They could have been told they are here for the next few months to get fit, get used to the place, with the plan of them being ready for next season. Who knows? For all the chat of "why didn't Bowman play on Saturday?", it was never going to happen. A straight swap with Bowman for McDonald doesn't make sense. They are completely different players. We're not going to stick Ainsworth in the middle of the park because Lasley or McHugh is out, just because they are both midfielders. If there's any time between now and May where Moult is injured or suspended, then Bowman will get his shot.
  18. So, the referees are being told that, when applying the laws of football, during a game of football, they've to disregard the, ermm, actual football? Fan-fucking-tastic. Sums it all up. I've always said, I'm fed up of seeing players slide tackling each other when the ball is at the other end of the pitch...
  19. He's a good player, and he's available. What does it matter if he's been here before, or whether he's 24 or 34? Pearson will enhance the squad. I don't see any negative about getting this deal done.

    Mcghee Out?

Unless we win every single game, then our league position will always be a reflection of how well/shite other teams have done. Of the 11 league games following our 4-1 win against Ross County at the end of October, we've won 3 and lost 5, gaining 12 points. Not the greatest form, I'm sure everyone will agree, but we're sitting in 6th position. So something has gone well in the first part of the season to allow us to have a bit of a 'slump'. I've had a look at the form of others in the same time period. Of those below us; Partick Thistle - 2 wins & 4 defeats from 11 games - 11 points. Ross County - 3 wins & 4 defeats from 11 games - 13 points. Kilmarnock - 2 wins & 4 defeats from 10 games - 10 points. Dundee - 4 wins & 5 defeats from 10 games - 13 points. Hamilton - 1 win & 5 defeats from 12 games - 9 points. Inverness - 0 wins & 8 defeats from 11 games - 3 points. Taking away Inverness, there's very little between the sides. As has been said, our main focus this season is making sure we're in the division next season. So, to be top of the pile of the other seven after 22 games, and IMO we've improved our squad from the 1st to 31st January, we're doing ok. Could we be better? Of course, but you can't have it all.
  21. I'd agree with this. We've seen on occasion this season McDonald play wide on the left, and Moult wide on the right. Unsurprisingly, they've been pretty shit at it. Chalmers actually did (relatively) ok in his few appearances at left-back prior to his injury. He'll never go down as one of the first on the team sheet, but it's incredibly harsh to judge him for doing the best he can at left-midfield.
  22. The stop off at Edinburgh Airport is a wee bit strange though, isn't it? Moult due on a flight to the Midlands this afternoon.
  23. By my reckoning, we've only lost two points as a result of those six goals. The other goals we were already losing the game. How does that compare to others around us?
