  1. It goes on and on, all teams that he was at from the ages of 12-24 will get a percentage of any transfers paid before the third transfer. I think it is 0.5% for every year he was at the club or something
  2. That's my team but I would swap Sutton and Blackman. I think Sutton will be better at left midfield because of his defensive ability - unless you've put him there to cover Djemba-Djemba then ignore me.
  3. TBH I think it was more down to the fact it was Brondby they were playing than being confident or that. Brondby are the third team (if you class OB as the second) in Denmark.
  4. Nope. According to UEFA, our Yellow Card count seems to be... Jennings - 2 (both last night) Hammell - 1 Craigan - 1 Lasley - 1 Fitzpatrick - 1 Saunders - 1 Reynolds - 1 Reading the rules, it is 2 (then 4 and 6)yellows in seperate matches which leads to a one-match suspension during the Qualifiers. If the team makes it to the Group Stages, the yellow card count is removed and it is then 3 yellow cards. Not sure if that means if Craigan et al get booked and we go into the Groups does that mean they will or won't be suspended. It is rather vague on that point!
  5. So wait, because some idiotic "Motherwell fans" throw stuff, proper Motherwell fans, and the Club themselves have no right to complain? Does that mean, because we have some bigots as well who are happy to shout out F***** and Orange B****** now and then we have no right to bad mouth the Old Firm fans?
  6. £1-1.5m is prize money for qualifying for the Group Stages. Once there, you have to add on any TV Revenue we make by UEFA selling the rights I believe. Not to mention we'd have 3 teams that are much bigger than us to play at home. If you think our annual turnover is around the £4.5m mark, us making the Group Stages, in a financial sense would be like winning the lotto.
  7. Agreed. That's twice now in this game, the last one has proved costly.
  8. No. You don't need a work permit if you have Spanish AND Belgian nationality. In fact you don't need one if you have either of those nationalities. Never mind both.
  9. And a white one, ala your Avatar
  10. A free transfer and massive wages! Wages that would probably see us sign 3 or 4 players! Neither Sutton or Kyle would be happy to play second fiddle, and they couldn't play with each other as going forward they are far too much a like.
  11. Nope. Sutton has a better strike rate. Sutton is also a better link up player and a decent defender when called upon. John Sutton's has a 2.33 league games to goal ratio (for Motherwell) Kevin Kyle has a 2.68 league games to goal ratio (for Kilmarnock) If you take Scottish Football as a whole it is John Sutton has a 2.29 league games to goal ratio (Raith Rovers, Dundee, St Mirren and Motherwell - 179 games) Kevin Kyle has a 2.68 league games to goal ratio (Kilmarnock only - 43 games)
  12. The Official Deadline has passed. We still have the one replacement deadline of 11pm next Wednesday though. Shaka, have they? St Mirren should be renamed Cowdenbeath Paisley, Kilmarnock are still in the shitters, ICT are no great shakes and Hamilton have had no major overhaul in quality.
  13. Cool. Found him, unfortunately our Youth Teams are not well documented apart from a picture of him. Good to see another youngster (Pollock showed it last season) making a good impression. Attack minded player I guess?
  14. Who is this Watt guy? Can't find any info on him on the 'Fishal site?
  15. The Official site says it was Trialist Jamie McCluskey that scored and missed the penalty. So was it McCluskey or Watt that did both?
  16. Any updates how the game is going?
  17. TBH I don't agree. I think because FCK and OB are the two best sides in Denmark the game is more cagey and less of a true reflection of the quality because it is usually those games that where if you lose it is worse for you. I find, a team that is maybe just one inch below you in quality will be a true reflection on what you can do. Who do you play this coming weekend? But in football anything to happen, we beat Aberdeen 3-0, they followed this up a couple of days later beating FCK 4-0...
  18. Yeah true but past history not a lot. Aberdeen put 4 past FCK when they last met, and Aberdeen were no great shakes then. I would say OB have a better pedigree in Europe than us (hence why you are seeded and we're not) but in football anything can happen.
  19. Yes, currently 1-0 down to Wycombe
  20. With Halsman on loan till Janaury to Annan Athletic and Steven Lawless on a months loan to the same club. And Dario Quinn on loan to the Rose I thought it would be a good idea to keep tabs on their performances. Annan Athletic have played two competative games (they are playing their third right now). In their first game, they lost 3-2 to Stenhousemuir where both Motherwell boys came on as subs. Lawless even managed to get on the score sheet. 3-0 down at the time... Second game was a defeat against Partick Thistle. Halsman started and was booked. He was replaced on the hour. Lawless made an appearance, coming on as a sub in the 86th minute.
  21. Eh... Gary McDonald has signed for Accies...
  22. If we get to the group stages, I doubt they'll be many, if any lesser teams in the draw. We'll be in pot 4 for certain, I don't think it would be even possible for us to go up a pot unless half the seeded teams go out.
  23. Big woop! I had a trial with Aston Villa. Your point. Ya Wallipur? You're judging a player on 1 game. Scouts will be watching him over a large amount of games, even a season or so. Scouts have also watched Ruddy... maybe Ruddy isn't as good as we thought?
  24. 9 August List A must be signed and delivered to UEFA - although one player may be removed and another added up-to 11pm of the night before the first leg match.
