As far as I can see there are two paths this summer: first Askou goes and we cash in on the players we have before a new manager can come in I.e Just, maswanhise, Watt move on. Secondly if Askou stays we looks to keep 2/3 of those players (likely Just and Watt as both have a club option of an extra year). plently of players to be moved on in any case, of those expiring in the summer I’d keep Slattery if possible and everyone else can go. Henry, Charles-Cook and Robinson will likely be on a good wage and can ideally move on.

One benefit of this run is we will likely keep Askou. I feel we’ve been very unlucky with a threadbare squad taking injuries in particularly weak areas, not to mention the Slattery nonsense. Really poor run and I don’t honestly see where our next result is going to come from.

I think it’s fair to criticise Jens’ decision making tonight despite how well we’re playing in the league. Changing your keeper for no reason is daft and it was proven to be within 5 minutes. Any time we’ve played without Welsh, O’Donnell has played at CB but he chose to play a rusty Liam Gordon which also went on to cost us. The first 2 reds are probably correct but Gordon’s red is a joke. Why choose to massively alter the team in a knockout game when we have a great chance to get deep into this competition?

A game that could’ve been 5-0 or 5-5. It felt much like the Falkirk game earlier in the season but this time we hung on and killed the game at the end. Nice to get away with a less than perfect performance. the mark of champions?….

Routine win again. can’t believe those cloggers put 4 past us in the semi. ref was honking but equally so. we’re going to win the league.

Pretty miserable after that. plenty of nice play followed by launching poor balls into the box or attempting to score the perfect goal when the opportunity to shoot presented itself. Falkirk were able to bully us, feels like it was inevitable that the professional bullies would run over the top of us. hopefully a couple of transfer windows we can add some mettle to the team to give us a different option if teams are more physical than we are.

Didn’t manage to see the game but I’ll always take a point away against a team like St Mirren.

Total football Vs Anti-football. Probably a good test for the team to play against such a strong, physical team. If they can get the ball moving through them effectively we could hammer them. If they can’t I can see McGinn/Gordon getting exposed badly. unfortunately I’m getting dragged to this Glasgow Food Festival on Saturday so I’m hoping for mega rain to bail me out of that. 2-0 Well

Pleasantly surprised with the performances in the last two games. Thought we held our own against their press in the first half and took advantage when they got tired later in the game. Watt, Fadinger and Slattery played well and the subs contributed well. Said is a unit. Can’t wait to have my chips pished on at the weekend.
