Taking Said off was daft, I accept he was on a yellow but he was our biggest threat/out ball. Trying to drop back and defend a lead against those duds was asking for trouble. Sack Stephen.

GR can’t defend in the air and Moormann can’t defend in the ground. Said skinning them silly so far and a great finish. Get the ball to him and we could score a few more, I just worry that we will concede just as many!

Don’t have much to say about that other than we are in serious, serious trouble.

Jesus wept, GWR and O’Donnell underneath it. Can see us scoring again but not without Killie scoring a couple..

I’m maybe being a little bit soft here but we are fucking shite.

I think people asking for these changes are looking for round pegs in round holes, the manager starts O’Donnell but at CB when obviously people want him to play RB in place of Sparrow. Tawandas replacement wasn’t the problem today, I thought SPH was acceptable. Whatever the problems have been over the last few games, Wully isn’t the answer. Particularly when Said came on and made a difference.

I can’t remember the last time I left a game early but here I am on my couch. clueless selection, Sparrow isn’t a right back and O’Donnell isn’t a centre half. Knight-Lebel gets a game for Canada but can’t get into this side and worst of all Vogt looks like he’s won a competition to get into this side and could justifiably have been taken off after 30 minutes, his only contribution was getting melted by the ball. We are determined to go down the right in spite of Longelo being our most direct attacking threat and even when he’s in acres of space there is no desire at all to get the ball out to him. Very worrying.

Tough stuff, a good start without any clear chances then dugmeat after the first goal. Aberdeen didn’t have to work hard for any of the goals, we gifted them the opportunities. Girdwood-Reich scares the shite out of me.

Good result becomes bad at the death, sickener. Played some good stuff when we had the ball but loose touches and two absolutely dominant central defenders meant we didn’t give us a sniff after the goal. Hodge looks a player, which is a big plus. New lad up front doing what you want a big forward to do. Hopefully not an injury to Charles-Cook that forced him off.

Great performance, not one player less than 7/10. Said was electric, Lowry very impressive and a much improved performance from Maswanhise. Frieburg haven’t played a competitive game so far, hopefully we can catch them cold and get them running!

I feel like Luca has been around for years, I was surprised to hear he’s still just 19. This earns him a bit more rope but as has been said, I dont know where his natural position is, that can’t help his development.

As far as I can see there are two paths this summer: first Askou goes and we cash in on the players we have before a new manager can come in I.e Just, maswanhise, Watt move on. Secondly if Askou stays we looks to keep 2/3 of those players (likely Just and Watt as both have a club option of an extra year). plently of players to be moved on in any case, of those expiring in the summer I’d keep Slattery if possible and everyone else can go. Henry, Charles-Cook and Robinson will likely be on a good wage and can ideally move on.

One benefit of this run is we will likely keep Askou. I feel we’ve been very unlucky with a threadbare squad taking injuries in particularly weak areas, not to mention the Slattery nonsense. Really poor run and I don’t honestly see where our next result is going to come from.

I think it’s fair to criticise Jens’ decision making tonight despite how well we’re playing in the league. Changing your keeper for no reason is daft and it was proven to be within 5 minutes. Any time we’ve played without Welsh, O’Donnell has played at CB but he chose to play a rusty Liam Gordon which also went on to cost us. The first 2 reds are probably correct but Gordon’s red is a joke. Why choose to massively alter the team in a knockout game when we have a great chance to get deep into this competition?
