  1. To be fair his name is Giles Christopher Coke. Maybe he prefers Chris... quite possibly he does
  2. What will the self-proclaimed GFITW say? Surely only they are capable of having supporters like this. On a serious note, could maybe get a footnote in the programme or something for the Killie game regarding the way our fans have integrated and been praised. Its nice to see, especially given the negative press in the past. It would be good to see the club is proud of its fans just as we are proud of our club. I enjoyed the craic with the Nancy lads at JD's last year and good to see we're mixing well with the Steuea boys this year.

    Jim Gannon

Still not overly concerned. Yes, we need additions but to be honest I dont think we're any worse off than St Johnstone, Accies, Falkirk, St Mirren...
  4. Haha Flow namechecked on the radio for giving them the attendance figure.
  5. Apparently threw a bottle of water
  6. Chick Young adamant we should have had at least 1 pen (pull on Sutton). Seem impressed with us on radio Scotland.
  7. No workin for me either. Justin tv one is and only a couple of seconds behind tthe radio commentary.
  8. To be fair, absolutely nothing to lose.
  9. Exactly what I was thinkn

    Murphy To Accies ?

    Non-starter... next
  12. Completely agree. This is the reason why Scottish players are not comfortable on the ball, they are coached from an early age to get rid of it asap.
  13. After the emotion of lasst night... losing to Steuea away is no disgrace. Scotland would find it difficult to match Romania away. I actually do think we will be fine next season. The players we have brought in whilst not world beaters would in my opinion easily handl bottom six clubs (once fully fit). As I said yesterday, we are probably not going to meet another team as strong as that for the rest of the season.

    New Signings

Well UEFA would have to have had registered him. I think it was just Northampton greetin because they left a door open and didnt conclude the deal.
  15. Completely agree with El Grew re the technical side and pass and move etc. Its 2009 and caoches in Scotland are still giving it the "if in doubt get it out" and "get it up the park" pish. Anyway as said, beaten by a far better team tonight, no complaints. I think gannon and the team will be fine for the SPL.
  16. I actually thought he played Ok. Taking and giving, playing it tidy in midfield. Never expected a result from this game and put it this way, this is probably as hard a team as we will come up against all season. As someone said, the O/F would have a time against them. Their pass and move game is exactly what Scottish teams need to work on. Ruddy looks a cracking signing. Nice contrast between interviews. Gannon calling as it is, McGhee generally looking at excuses: fatigue, cobbled defence, etc. Although he did say "I have gone from legend to idiot".
  17. Ohhhhhh Cokey, Cokey, Cokey

    Sad news. R.I.P.
  19. Might pop round to Daniels for this. Off this week so can have a bevvy. Doubt they will be showing it anywhere in Glasgow
  20. Good effort. ... only thing is Craig Burley apparently on it again.
  21. Oor Jim being interviewed at airport: gannon
  22. The thing now is that the dynamic is changing with regard to young Scottish players and how their careers are moving on... In the past the old firm would sniff about, put in silly offers and often our hands would be tied to sell at a knockdown price due to lack of alternative or as it being seen as a kid's only chance at a crack at the big time. Recently however, we have seen English teams start to take an interest again and take a chance on our young players. Previously McCarthy, Easton et al would have gone to the o/f whereas now the spending power of the English clubs, even at championship level, can blow the old firm out of the water both in terms of transfer fee and wages. This is leading to us (and lets be honest the agents) getting more reasonable fees. The good thing from a Motherwell point of view is that over the past few seasons the club's profile has been raised for a variety of reasons. We are on the radar of clubs down south and we are now in a position where we have a certain amount of leverage with the o/f.
