  1. Wind your neck in, you could at least have told the truth. A claim of 'ripped up seats' is bad enough. Then the 'jumped by a group of Well fans'? facepalm.gif

    Posted 07 December 2013 - 08:51 AM

i heard a few tims got jumped on after the game on there way down to airbles station

What part of jumed on by a group of Well fans is not the truth? And i suppose there was no damage to Accies stadium just the media with an anti-Motherwell agenda? But hey you know best don't you being such a legend and all.

The Emoticons were the best part of that post.

The best parts of your posts are the ones you post on the sevco forums. Hope you got your Christmas card from McCoist for being such a loyal supporter.

  2. Lots of claret & amber specs on here. Cries of what did the Well fan do whilst at the same time declaring the Celtic fan guilty as charged. Just coz some of their fans ripped up seats doesn't mean this guy was one of them. Him and the Well fan might of had a set to before or after the game & his arrest has nothing do to with the seats being destroyed. But according to some here he's guilty as sin but the Well fan is a victim of police corruption  It was on this very thread someone took great delight in announcing some Celtic fans went home with sore faces after being jumped by a group of Well fans. Still going with no Well fans were involved in trouble and don't deserve to be arrested?

Wasn't that long ago Well fans ripped up seats in Accies ground but that's conviently forgotten coz Well fans are all angels & don't get involved in trouble.

Reminds me of when a ned gets killed crashing a stolen car & his family come out and say he was a wee angel & we'll just sweep the car theft part of the story under the carpet.

Everyone who was involved in trouble at the match will get their comuppance irrespective of what colours they wear and to suggest it's a conspiracy against Well fans is simply bullshit. Unless of course you subscribe to the party line of Well fans are all angels  and it's the opposition who have the troublemakers

  3. The 'hanging on' comes from our inablility to kill teams off. You kill the game then it doesnt matter how many kitchen sinks they throw you will see out the game comfortably. I don't think there has been a single game this season where we have been able to say well that's the game won before the final whistle.

  4. Great 3 points but let's not get carried away. By all accounts we were once again left hanging on praying for the full time whistle against what is probably the worst team in the league right now. So yeah a great 3 points but nothing about it makes me anymore confident about beating St Miren next week especially as our record against them is quite poor. Just hope the win gives them the little confidence boost they need to push on next week.

  5. Bit harsh to say the strikers have a point to prove. We could have Van Persie up front but if we have no one in midfield creating chances for him then he's not gonna score. Compared to Van Persie our strikers are pish poor so what chance have they got of scoring if we have no one supplying them with quality balls. The problem the team has is in the middle of the park we have no creativity, we are as slow as treacle and if we don't pass it sideways or backwards we inevitibly lose it. How many times have we lost a goal from a breakaway from one of our attacks but when we are trying to breakaway the opposition has time to have a cup of tea, a quick shag and still get back in time to defend our breakaway.

  6. If McCall kicks their arse & sends then out with a rocket up their arse and then the players proceed to go out & not try a leg and play with zero confidence how is that the manager's fault? What else can he do? He can't threaten to drop them as we have no one to replace them with. However what McCall has to do is work on his tactics and ffs after all this time please get a plan B for when plan A inevitably goes out the window when the opposition score. He got away with it previously as the team had the pace that worried other teams so plan A was generally good enough.

I said away back at the Euro games the writing was on the wall when the team was crying out for someone with pace and McCall signed Lawson

Lazy arsed players with no confidence and a manager with the tactical ability of a haddock is going to make for a long season.

Just for the record i like McCall but i have never rated his ability to change a game when plan A is out and his insistence of playing players out of position so he can use his favourite 11 is insane. And don't get me started on his substitutions or lack thereof.

  7. Not even remotely surprised our goals for ended in 0. Not even surprised we had zero shot on goal. I said before the game i'd bite your arm off for a shot where their keeper actually has to make a save. If i was a manager i would be playing my reserve keeper against us to get some game time coz it's not like he's going to have much to do.

Still amazed that folk on here actually thought we would score tonight. Zero goal threat against Albion Rovers but we will score against Celtic!! Seriously that's gone way beyond optimism and landed staight in delusional. The men in the white coats will be around to collect you presently.

  8. The proof of the pudding is this - is the current squad good enough? It's not, not only have most of the players brought in have failed to spark (not necessarily McCall's fault) but the make up of the squad, the balance of the squad is completely inadequate and heavily weighted to defensive players and strikers.

We had a situation at the weekend where one player, Iain Vigurs, was injured and because of that we couldn't field one creative, attack minded central midfielder in the game.

That's beyond shoddy and veering towards incompetence in terms of re building the squad. Law, Ojamaa and Humphrey left and only Vigurs was brought in who you could say would slot into one of those vacant positions.

If budgets cuts are responsible when why did McCall sign Lawson? Anyone? He doesn't fit into our system and he's not going to change the system to suit Lawson. We never really needed a player like him in the first place. So why did he bring him in? Lawson is to all extents and purposes a wasted wage with Carswell and Lasley already on the books.

The whole McFadden farrago is highly suspect in itself, dragging on all summer before signing a completely unfit and unmotivated player, but besides him we do not have a single attacking wide player in the first team squad bar a loan player who will probably be booted back to his parent club in January and who doesn't deserve an extension any way.

It's December and no one has any idea what our best XI is, because the manager doesn't have a clue how to cobble a team together out of the squad THAT HE ASSEMBLED.

If you are playing a 4-4-2 you need at least three wide midfield players, we have one contracted. If you are playing a 4-4-2 you need at least two creative attacking midfield players, we have one contracted and nothing else. If you are playing 4-4-2 you need at most 4 strikers. We have 5, including one that has been brought in on loan and is probably taking a large whack of cash out the club.

I don't doubt McCall works under difficult financial restrictions but those restrictions will only get worse next season due to his incompetence during the summer to build a balanced squad that was fit for purpose.

Of the 3 players you mention i think it was Vigurs for Law, Anier for Ojamaa & Aisnsworth for Humphrey. Are these players as good as the 3 they replaced? No they are not. Has it worked out as McCall hoped? No it's piss poor but you can see he did try to match like for like.

Oh and don't suggest Lawson is a waste of a wage i suggested this way back in the Euro ties when he was already a bench player also stating we were already well catered for in his position and got lambasted for such a statement.

  9. I'm obviously missing the point here, but what actions? We haven't played any more games since.

If your talking about previous times we have hit a slump under McCall, we have turned it around to finish, for example, 3rd and 2nd in the league.

To be honest, I'm not necessarily expecting a quick fix from this group of players with their lack of guile in the midfield and obvious lack of confidence. Unless Faddy suddenly sparks some magic, we don't have an obvious game changer right now, so all we can hope for in the next few games is effort and focus.

Unfortunately we have more chance of getting some magic from Paul Daniels. :wizard:

  10. Pretty much agree with everything already posted with the exception of the couple of posts saying play the youngsters as we are safe because of Hearts points deduction. Remember this year there is a play off which we would lose on current form. I don't believe we will have to worry about being involved in that but worth keeping in mind that you want to avoid bottom 2 not just bottom.

  11. With the exception of the first half at Tannadice we have been very poor all season. We keep saying we are waiting for a catalyst to come along that will kick start our season. At this rate there will be four games left to play & we will still be saying don't worry our season will kick start soon. Sending out the same team every week with the same tactics clearly isn't working as all we are getting is absolute dross performances. Yes we are high in the league but our results against the top teams show exactly where we stand & even the happiest clapper must know that out victories against the bottom teams hasn't seen us play anything like good football. How many times have we been hanging on to a 1 goal lead when the game should be dead and buried long before. Something has to change unless McCall thinks we are suddenly going to start playing good football. If he's not going to change the team then change the tactics. It isn't working so don't just keep doing the same thing every week.

  12. hey Ian are you at work or schoolies?

Yeah working as normal and popping on internet at lunch time for a sticky beak. As always at this time of year avoid Surfers Paradise like the plague. As soon as schoolies finishes and they all piss off back to where they came from the better.

  13. To sum up, we have one bad result and the players and management team are all pish.

Think you are being a bit liberal with the truth there unless you consider the St Johnstone and Aberdeen results as magnificent achievements. So there's 3 bad results to get the waterworks flowing at a nice steady stream.

  14. Biggest concern for me is that in the last 6 games we have scored a grand total of 3 goals 2 of which were in the same game. 1 goal a wonder strike by a young lad & the other 2 scored by defenders from set pieces. Doesn't say a lot about our strike force. It's as old as the hills & cheesy as hell but if you go through a whole game without even troubling the opposition keeper then you're not gonna win that game. Can't score then can't win simple as that.

On the bright side Malpas is up for the ICT job hope he gets it

  15. My biggest concern for this game is that in the last 2 (very winnable) games i can count on one hand the amount of saves the opposition keeper has had to make. Old cliche but if you don't create chances you don't score. We need to be much more creative in this game. Yes Hibs are murder but they also got a point against Celtic so by no means a sure fire win here.

  16. I know and we have been used to fantastic keepers as well as creative players. So why has it stopped that's my main point. This season we have un earthed no hidden gems. Why ? When we have done it for that last 2/3 seasons at least, what has changed ?

Lets hope in jan we can rectify it and get the 2/3 players we need to turn it round

Don't want to be a moaner but we really really do need a wee spark to get us going.

What has changed is that for the last 2/3 seasons we have brought in players from the lower leagues in England some have worked some haven't. This season we just hoovered up SPL players from teams who finished below us last year. Every other team in the league knows these players well and knows how to nulify them. No surprise the unknown Anier has been probably our most effective player this season.

  17. Great idea and if it works will look brilliant. However if the linesman running along the East Stand gives a dodgy decision that costs us a goal i fear he will have wads of cards reigning down on him bringing a fine for the club. Hope im wrong and hope even more that we don't get any dodgy decisions against us.
