  1. The problem is Motherwell get internationalists after they have passed their best & well past being an international pick. We also have youngsters who we sell on before they are ready for the international set up. And then we have the likes of Martin & McKinnon who are considered shite coz they play for Motherwell. These 2 boys would have had a lot more caps had they played for Hibs or Utd.
  2. Some people appear to have too much time on their hands. Get some work done ya shower of lazy bastards
  3. Change the mascots get Duffman in with free Duff for all
  4. Check the exchange rate mate then add in conversion fees & bank charges & you'll soon see it's not 6 pence a day for overseas users.
  5. That's the problem for the early adopters of these schemes that they haven't ironed out all the bugs yet. Like i said before i won't be getting it just now as live commentary at 2am isn't worth it for me but when they start to have live streams for overseas punters then i'll be in like Flynn & hopefully all the bugs will be sorted by then.
  6. When i was quickly scanning over this i thought for a second you were going to say "We are not giving them The Cooper, it wasn't half empty yesterday, if anything it was half full" Nearly spat out me cornflakes out until i read it again
  7. Id rather all 3 were away from home tbh. We know Hibs & Utd will come and park the bus & we don't have the creativity to break them down. Our home form is fairly poor & we really struggle to score. Dunno why people are moaning about Lennon's celebrations at the end. The guy knows if he doesn't win he's on the dole & he get's a late winner to keep his job so of course he's gonna celebrate & i don't think there's a manager in the league wouldn't do the same. Just coz he's an arse & no one likes him doesn't mean he's got no right to celebrate his team winning a tough game with a late goal. Maybe if he wore blue people here wouldn't mind as much
  8. If they beat us then they will win their game in hand (Dunfermline are even pisher than Celtic) which will put them 3 points clear of us though effectively 4 due to their superior goal difference. So if we lose then i think we have lost any chance of keeping up with them.
  9. Remember McMillan very well but can't recall where he went after us & what injury he picked up. Any Info? In all Hammell's appearances has he reached double figures yet in goals scored? Sure he must have i remember a few cracking free kicks from him.
  10. Well that's what i was saying that people who are saying the club done well or the club messed up are off the mark as it has nothing to do with the club that we have to play on a Friday. And im back at work so no bevied anymore
  11. Would be happier if it was at Parkhead. Celtic seem to be dropping more points at home than away for example humping Hibs at Easter Road then a few days later can't even get one past them at Parkhead. Not to mention we are set up to play well away & our away form is excellent but at home we struggle to score & have been in general poor. More worried about this game because it's at Fir Park.
  12. Ok been bevied since this was announced so i may have missed something. Why are people saying well done to the club for this initiative or f@#! the club for this initiative? I was under the impression that the SPL decide who plays where & when & the club has no choice but to along with it. Hence the Aberdeen Dunfermline game the Dunfermline directors where moaning like hell coz their fans had to travel to Aberdeen on a Friday night. That doesn't sound to me like a club who had agreed to that fixture change.
  13. Just back from an amazing weekend in the Whitsunday's to find we stole 3 points from ICT brilliant way to cap off the best weekend of the year. Weather was amazing no a cloud in the sky temp in high 20's everyday. Bit of snorkiling the Barrier Reef and bevied every night with ice cold beers to keep cool. What a life
  14. You boys are having weekend in Inverness Im having a weekend in the Whitsunday Islands for our fitba teams end of season trip. Will be too hot & pissed to even remember there's a game on but hoping we don't blow our good away form against bottom of the league.
  15. From watching it on the TV my overall impression was we were powder puff up front. So many crosses into the box & not a Motherwell player even close to being on the end of one. If that amount of crosses had gone into our box I'm pretty sure Killie would have buried one or two of them. Murphy was a complete waste of a jersey & it's time McHugh was given a chance as he can't do any worse than the hiding Murphy was doing. Lasley was great at winning the ball but his distribution was awful. I don't remember him finding a Motherwell player with any of his passes. Hammel, Clancy, Hately & Jennings had good games. Big Higdon put in a lot of work & Craigan showed his experience with his reading of the game to break up a few Killie attacks. The makings are there for the team to have a stormer of a season but we need to really sort out or attack at Fir Park as at the moment we have no way to break down a team that parks the bus. Last 3 league home games: Motherwell 0 - St.Johnstone 3, Motherwell 1 - Aberdeen 0, Motherwell 0 - Killie 0. One goal against 3 very beatable opponents at home is pretty poor in my book and even then we were fortunate to get that one goal as it started with an opponent making an arse of it. Iv'e no idea if a change of tactics would help but McHugh needs to be given a chance to see what he can do. The current tactics are working brilliant away from home & if we keep the away form up we will do alright this season but it's time to make Fir Park a place where teams know that just coming & parking the bus won't do any good. Anyway I'm off to look at the table to cheer myself up
  16. I think we have been very lucky with managers & that is a key factor in our success. From when i started following the 'Well with Tommy McLean in charge right through to McCall there has been very few bad managers at the club. To convince players like Owen Coyle & Tommy Coyne to come to Motherwell, to convince Davie Cooper to leave his believed Rangers & to bring in Nijholt & the big shagger who were unheard of out of Holland & could've walked into any SPL team. Having a EPL standard keeper in Ruddy & then bring in an arguably better one when he left & convincing Nicky Law that Motherwell's the team for him. So for me our success is good managers with an excellent eye for a player & working to budget. Sure there was McLeish & Malpas but for each diddy manager we've had there has been 2 good ones. I honestly believe that if we had gone the route of a Jimmy Calderwood, Alex McDonald or any of the other usual suspects then at best we'd be first division fodder right now instead of sitting 2nd splitting the OF. Each to their own opinion but my opinion it's been some bloody good managers that's made this such a bloody good football team.
  17. Highlight would have to be that Aberdeen are shite & the media have finally realised what a wee knob jockey broon is. The whole season has been a highlight for us (shh dont mention St Johnstone)
  18. Sorry for not wanting to jizz my pants over the old secterian debate but i have a question that my old memory is struggling to recollect. One of the comments under that video was some joker saying he never went to away games coz he didn't wanna give us bigot clubs his money. It reminded me of something a few seasons ago where there was something about the OF charging more to take tickets or something for their away games so their support was getting tickets cheaper than the home fans. Anyone confirm this & know what the outcome of it was? Oh feel free to go back to your our bigots are better than their bigots debate.
  19. Delighted it's on live, first chance iv'e had to watch the Well in ages. I know it's a pisser for you folk over there but it's a Godsend for us expats. Wear the Silver strip we've got a 100% record in that & i wanna see what it looks like on the telly.
  20. Think i will wait until they introduce live streaming outside the UK. With the exchange rate the way it is i don't fancy forking out just to hear live audio at 1am on a Sunday morning. The classic match highlights sounds good though.

Depends what you class as ambitious. Playing for Celtic he is guaranteed Europen football & challenging for honours. That wouldn't be the case with Wolves or Everton. For a player who as far as i know has never won a medal & has no/little European football then Celtic could be a big draw to gain something that he can look back on when his career is over. (which may be soon depending on injuries)
  22. Take out the OF as McCall seems to enjoy doing then it's 7 wins from 9 games If that's right then only the draw with Killie & defeat to St.Johnstone where we didn't pick up 3 points.

I'm just surprised that people are actually surprised by this. A chance to play for his boyhood heroes, challenging for trophies, European football & making a shed load of money while he's at it. Seems like a no brainer for me. People who thought the only scottish team he would play for is us really need to take off their claret & amber tinted specs.
  24. If Hutchy is back earlier than expected he will probably start on the bench & ease his way back in especially as the defense at Tannadice was pretty solid.
  25. Except in Motherwell only the mould firm are famous there
