  1. Aye, meant to say that as well! He's no afraid, that's for sure....
  2. They know the score. Manager thinks somebody's no doing it, you're howked.
  3. Sounds like quite an open game thus far, chances at both ends though good old Webster almost gifting Motherwell a nice oggy. Go the whole distance next time...!
  4. The home side today seem definetly based on attack. Think we are capable of hitting on the break to effect today.
  5. 17 goals in just four games, only four in reply (one of them an oggy). That's absoultely fantastic. Was talking to a couple of the team recently, they are well up for this and want silverware. Go for it guys!!!!
  6. Well done lads!!!! Brilliant stuff Edit - Noticed this. Remarkable result for Accies!!!!

    Bbc Alba

Our game at Hamilton on 7th November will be shown on BBC Alba according to the SPL offishel website fixtures list....
  8. This is interesting. Read the headline, then find where in the story it actually is said. Fron the Rancid, of course......... I would have scored penalty against Rangers, insists Motherwell's young player of the month Ross Forbes Sep 15 2009 Anthony Haggerty MOTHERWELL'S Ross Forbes says he'd love to have been put on the spot and given the chance to be a match-winner against Rangers. The midfielder, the club's regular penalty taker, was subbed after 74 minutes of last Saturday's 0-0 Fir Park draw, leaving their late spot-kick award to be taken by Jim O'Brien - and saved by Ibrox keeper Allan McGregor. Forbes, speaking after being named as Clydesdale Bank Young Player of the Month for August, said: "I would have loved to have been on the park to take the penalty. Measure "I would just have taken the ball off Jim and hit it but I must admit I'd have placed it the same as Jim did, rather than go for power, so the same thing could have happened to me." Forbes feels it is a measure of how far Motherwell have come that they were disappointed with the stalemate against Walter Smith's men. The Steelmen remain undefeated after four games in the SPL and having sampled the delights of the qualifying rounds of the Europa League, Forbes is hungry for more. He said: "We had the chances to win the game and I think we gave a great account of ourselves. "I'm sure the competitive games we played in the Europa League have stood us in good stead. "The competitive nature of those games as opposed to taking part in pre-season friendlies helped us get a settled team. "It was a great experience to play in the Europa League and we would love to get there again."

    Passion

Middle of the park was key for me on Saturday. They all wanted the ball, they all knew what to do with it, and they bossed allegedly far superior players comfortably. Great to see want and desire back in the team, a double-act which has been missing for way too long.

    Paul Slane

I suppose we could always put stuff on it to lull the opposition into a false sense of security by saying we've loads injured....then play them!

    Penalty

I'd agree. He was at least a couple of yards off his line and clearing gaining an advantage. Should've been a retake i feel, but we were never going to get that considering McDonald actually had a funny moment in giving us one in the first place. Edit - I also agree with the comments of our own assist and Wattie Smith....
  12. The luck with injuries changed but, had he buiit us a squad with depth, we'd have coped. The fact was he couldn't be arsed as he was desperate to get away.
  13. Compared to what happens to us at the likes of Shellic Park, it was mere seconds! I'd be all for us staying in at their midden for a few extra minutes instead of having to run the gauntlet of spittle and abuse which happens all too often.
  14. A lot of the time when a big, big game has come up and we pack out the stadium the team has failed to deliver, and those floating fans whov'e come along aren't entertainted and drift away again. Get that right next time out and we can get these folk hooked on coming to Fir park.
  15. Don't think McGhee got stale last year. He was just so desperate to go elsewhere he completely lost interest in our team. He knew in January this year Strachan was leaving and was so sure he was getting the job we'd have been better being run by no-one than having him in charge.
  16. I remember when we had yon away jersey (still my favourite) back in 1994, played at Tannadice with white shorts on that day (1-1 draw a few days before we went to Dortmund). Probably do the same next week.

    Penalty

I was in shock at McDonald actually giving us a penalty at all. Probably more shocked at that than Jimbo failing to score!

  19. Anyone have an update on Yassin, seemed to take a bit of a hit near the end and was sat on the turf at the end nursing a knee injury I think?
  20. Must've had a horse come up somewhere....!
  21. Hibs here in a fortnight will be a good match, worth making it that game I'd say.

    Penalty

I'd agree, Jay, thought it was a tremendous save and I hope Jim doesn't let it get to him, he was certainly gutted about missing. Onwards and upwards, it happens.
  23. Feck, I certainly feel yer pain from here, mate!!!!
  24. Got all me photos from today up on Bebo....just if you fancy a gander.
