as much as i would like to defend Boyle, he provoked the situation.. if tables were turned and brown walked up and made comments in boyles ear and boyle reacted then that would be right too... Boyle obviously said something in his ear that made him react that way and he gets what he deserved

Yes very good crowd. However Radio Scotland said official crowd was 8,337 and that the number of Dundee Utd fans was 3,500. By my reckoning then our home support was only about 4,500 which is about our core rump. So the only reason for a big crowd was the size of the travelling away support brought down by Dundee Utd.
But this would perhaps have been much smaller had it been £20 to get in. My point is that the reduction in gate price to £10 did not seem to excite more locals to go.there were 8,337 motherwell support there tonight and 3500 dundee united there
which all in makes 11.837

Be assured that Casagolda is a quality player, he has everything you could want from a football player. Problem is that there is too many established forwards in the team.

I think Boyle has cut his loses before he made anymore and called it quits, got out while still could and made it look good... i think this is the begining of the end tbh.... lets face it he probally didnt ask for anything for his shares in the club as there was nothing to give.
Call me daft, call me whatever but reading between the lines it kinda makes sense, hes poured money into the club and not really recieved much back, he has done well and done a lot for the club but what more can he do, he has his own personal as well as business interests to think about as well as that of his family.

Brown left the club as things were gonna go down hill after January and they have, they were right...
they left because they felt they couldn't do anymore at motherwell because they were at the best position they could be and were gonna go down hill.. at Aberdeen they were taking over a team that could only do better and they are doing better.. Craig and Archie made the right choice and their reasoning was correct.
Motherwell will be in a relegation battle this season and it is no fault of McCalls, the team is thread bare and McCall wasn't given the money to change that
Aberdeen well I could see a top 6 place for them, maybe even clinching 4th or 5th place... and that I would hate to see

okay we may have lost £80,000 because we never got 5th place.. but isnt the cash reward for winning the final higher ?
