  1. Jennings will quite rightly be touted around every club possible. His agent will be trying to get the best possible deal for him as this will potentially be his last big move. If he goes (and I am pretty certain he will) I wish him all the best.

his agent will be hammerfisting him about fan forums down south, although i might text said agent and see if i can get some hints from him :)

  2. I assumed predictive text had fucked him over in this case. otherwise, he speaks like a spaz.... perhaps its an honest mistake? otherwise, off topic

Rhys McCabe is a no go for me. He will join a top end championship team or maybe a low end premiership team for the time being. his wage bill would be either just in our range or completely out of it. Saying that, first team football will be his priority.

exactly what it was.... was typing it on my mobile and had the mrs talking to me at the same time, didn't even notice my error, will go back and correct it at some point

  3. Heres the thing that gets me. The board of MFC have gave the decision to Well Society Members to vote on, yeah but I'm pretty sure their will people within the well society members who can be influenced my the board to vote yes... the likes of Faddy and guys who have had ties with the club but also guys who have local businesses who will probably have advertising at the ground, these guys will want the newco in to get more eyes (and tv) viewing their adverts. Obviously the board knows the guys who have ties to the club can be influenced to vote yes and the guys with advertising etc will vote yes also they could be talked into voting yes for a deal on future advertising at the club.

That leaves the regular punters who have joined the well society (or majority) how would the board convince them? Get it out in the media that the club could face going into admin if the newco are voted out, sounds exactly like scare tactics. I in no way say that it is him that put it into the media but what I mentioned in another thread about "something Flow said that made me feel the club would vote yes" well that story the bbc have about Motherwell and other clubs facing admin is basically exactly what flow told me would happen if Rangers were to be liquidated.

  4. Rangers voted out and we need an extra 500 fans per game = a £200,000 increase in revenue.

Rangers voted back in, 500 fans turn their back each week and we lose the revenue gained from gers fans.

I know which of the two options I would prefer. Show them the door.

the way things are going i could see us having another 500 fans easy if Rangers were voted out

especially with people starting to see the benefits of the well society scheme, this will make supporting motherwell a bit more attractive

  5. maybe... and it is just a maybe more fans of the non old firm teams might just start coming out the woodwork and come back and watch their teams playing in a more level league, Celtic will have to even out to the closer to the level of the rest of the league to cope and IF we did lose tv revenue then that could eventually work in the favour of the clubs, as it would mean only way your gonna see a game is by going to it... upping pay at the gate punters and season tickets. Aye okay, it isn't ideal and it wouldn't be smooth but I can see eventually this making for a better game in Scotland in about 5 years time....

I would rather see Scottish Football die than be in the state it is in now... If your dog was in this state you would take it to the vets and have it put down to put it out its misery

  6. Trio Targeting Jennings

Sounds like an agent desperately trying to drum up interest in his client by touting him to all and sundry. Perhaps a sign there's not as many teams interested as he'd hoped as he looks for a potential new team.

Also where do I recognise the name Jonathan Hope from? Was he Casagolda's agent?

Yeah Jonni was Casagolda, he dropped him after Este said he was "too good to play fo for an english league two side"After refusing a number 9 jersey and twice the wages with the league two side (can't remember name of the club but Gary MacDonald signed with them at the same time)

  7. Genuine question: Is there a point when the club can say 'If all you're going to do is abuse our players, then you'll no longer be allowed into Fir Park'?

yeah like any business they have a duty of care towards their staff and can effectively bar you for any reason! The Higdon thing turned from criticism too abuse, yeah criticise a player when he performs poorly yeah but abuse is not needed especially when Higdon has scored 10 goals this season.. especially when we have own goal specialists in the team (don't start on him though he's bang on)

  8. born in Bellshill, lived in Watson Street (Motherwell) Linksview Road (Jervistion) Chapelknowe Road (Carfin/Cleland) Oakfield Drive (Motherwell) Bruce Avenue (North Motherwell) and Anderson Street (Motherwell) so I've never lived out with the Motherwell area really

  9. I have been to numerous games down south where they stad up, gather together, stand in the aisles... The stewards/police and clubs allow this. In some stands it is done in front of the police control boxes and yet it is not frowned upon, more or less encouraged!!

High ticket prices and heavy policing will kill the game.

And..... they let them buy alcohol at the grounds!!

and they don't want the old firm either!

  10. From my own personal view, my grudge actually lies with the stewards and match commander. The police were largely fine. After I had been ejected, the police were happy to let me walk away until the word came through on their radio from the match commander that I either had to be arrested or allowed to re-enter the match. I was perfectly calm and having a reasonable discussion with them so they were happy to let me re-enter the ground. When the head steward got wind of this, he went mental and refused to let me back in, so the police took the easy option and arrested me.

I think it's ridiculous that a match commander would give the instruction to arrest or allow re-entry, as it's impossible for him to have known what had happened. It would've completely undermined the steward if I'd been allowed to re-enter the ground so I can understand why the police wouldn't do that, but to say I deserved to be arrested was ridiculous. As soon as the steward was back in the ground, the police were even saying that it was a waste of their time. As it was, I didn't even get put in a cell - I was taken to the station, processed, then they took me in their van, almost apologetically, and dropped me off in the city centre to watch the scores come through on Sky Sports News with a pint.

I was obviously angry on a personal level because I felt I had been mistreated - I've no interest in debating that point with people on here because yes, I was standing up, etc so I know I broke the rules, but I'm also dismayed as a tax-payer by the resources that were wasted on me, and the number of times I can only imagine this happens up and down the country every saturday.

The other point in my mind is that punishments are in place as a deterent to misbehave in the future, but the punishment I received has only deterred me from spending a small fortune and taking time off work to support my team the next time they play in Aberdeen, and that's not a good thing for anyone. I certainly won't be altering the way I behave at matches because of what happened up there.

thats more or less Entrapment Frazzle, would speak to a lawyer!
