I too liked him as a player, but went right off him after hearing his punditry on Five Live one evening:- Commentator "...result coming in from Fir Park, Motherwell 4 Dundee Utd 1(or similar) - great night for one of your former clubs, Don?" Don "Well John, I've had many former clubs" That was it!

Not a commentators quote, but how about:- "Motherwell were all muck and nettles" Martin Peters(Spurs and World Cup winner) after being humbled 3-1 at Fir Park(1971 Texaco Cup)

This is all good stuff, but let's hope that old habits *do* die hard if they come to watch us play their former nemesis....

Checked it again now - that's brilliant, if the club got this done from this thread, then fair play to their webmaster for some speedy work

Apologies if I'm missing something, but I went to the club website to download the forms. Thinking the info would be hitting me in the face(given the current state of play) I was really surprised to have to go searching for it, eventually finding it tucked away in amongst dozens of other links way down the bottom. If someone from the club reads this, it might be an idea to have it highlighted up near the top, where it jumps out at you.

Very pleased here. The Society membership has been on the back burner but will be purchased now. Not so that I get a vote, but to boost funds and show my appreciation. By the way, the huge landslide of the expected NO vote should surely put an end to any more "h**s without bus fare" taunts..

Anyone remember his debut off the bench (was it vc Aberdeen?) IIRC his first touch was receiving the ball with a defender at his back, lifting it over both their heads then nipping round the back to collect. Bergkamp couldn't have done it better

Spot on. Came on as a second half sub and in that short time IIRC he got booked as well and non stop arguing with the ref. Denham(?) had to go off injured. Friendly?

Hear what everyone is saying but can also see some logic in taking the foot off the gas as we've now played 50 games this season. Something that the 91 team didn't have to contend with.
