  1. Davie Cooper was a classic wind up merchant winking and blowing kisses to opposing fans when he played with us. We lapped it up and thought it was a great laugh.

So tell me you dafties that got all upset what did the wee man do wrong??

cos he ripped the pish out of you makes him unprofessional.

    Two words GROW UP ;)

I remember a game against Celtic when we still had the cage and he was taking a corner in front of the Celtic fans in the top halve of the east stand.

They had berated him the whole game with "Dirty orange B"

His response was while taking a corner to give them the Vicky behind his back.

We loved it they hated it but that's all that ever came of it.

  2. Too pissed off to post till now.

Players looked like it was a training game and no real dig. Passing and possession looks lovely on the stats but no real dig or bite to the team.

We can play like this week in week out but teams will find us out as hibs did as we have no punch up front.

    What a waste of money

More urgency, dig and determination and please Santa can we have a proven goal scorer up front.

  3. Said this many many times, why insist on charging kids higher prices when we could get more in at a cheaper rate thus creating a better atmosphere (even if they have squeaky voices) and making more money off shop and pie stall sales

I guarantee every kid will spend (fleece there parents) of at least a fiver for pies, juice etc and even more in the shop.

Lower the prices but get more in and make more from the add ons.

To me its a total no brainer.

When we allowed school kids in free what was the increase in shop and confectionery sales. Perhaps someone higher up can say it was or wasn't worth it?????

  4. Now im far from a happy clapper but fook me if some people aren't being hyper critical. Ok it didn't quite click last night but we are going to have many more games where this happens. The result went our way so at least be happy.

  5. after a performance like that tonight I'll say saturday!!!

FFS its a win be happy FFS

I'm Mega Mega hyper critical at times but get a grip.

Euro games we weren't expected to do a lot and quite frankly did well remember former winners knocked us out. League wise we have been excellent. Tonight was more nervy as we were favourites and expected to win, cut them some slack a very young and new team and they will learn and we are through regardless.

  6. I'll play this game

thats way too harsh on Murphy mate

he was very lively and nearly created a couple of goals on his very short outing on the park

I was also quite pleased with McGarrys contribution added a bit of energy to the team most of whom looked very lazy at points this evening.

But hey we're Motherwell, got to pick out individuals to blame eh?

Thats cause Fitzy wasnt playing :D

  7. OK i know its really early in the season and 3 months till the transfer window. But was just wondering if we keep playing as well as we have been doing and getting as much media coverage and plaudits then can we attract a few higher profile players. Surely Ruddy and Moutaouakil (spelling) raises our profile.

I'm just thinking ahead as we need a bit more bite up front to be a real force in the long run of the season???

  8. Strange one tonight after all our free flowing football to look so disjointed.

Think we over play it too much at the back at times and we lack bite up front.

However i couldn't have asked for a better start to the season.

  9. 1. 12:15 kickoff

    2. Live on TV.

    3. Extorionate ticket prices.

    4. Indimidation of Old Firm fans taking over the town for the day.

    5. Bigotted bile.

Five perfectly good reasons why 'Well fans would've given it a miss on saturday. Given that the Cooper is traditionally the family section where parents will take their kids, these games are exactly the type of games these people are likely to miss, and understandably so.

    Support the team???

  10. Fair point about the old firm bile i don't take my kids because of that. But i hardly think the early ko was responsible for a poor attendance more probably it was cheaper to sit in the pub and watch it. But with being such a crucial game so early on with a lot at stake and 2 teams playing well maybe i expected a bit more support. Out support has always been apathetic but today was really poor.

It could have been better yes??????

  11. So we don't support our own team because of the opposition? 1/0 to them to start with.

Early Ko but we were undefeated and Rangers hadn't not won a game so cracking game in-store?

We have and always will pay more against the old scum so nowt new there.

I have been a major critic of Boyle and the Cooper saga but its hard to defend on today's attendance. I wont say hes right as home sections should always be for home support but i can see his point no matter how much i disagree with it.

  12. Controlled the game and looked comfortable. Then nearly snatched it, how can you say tactics were wrong ffs, playing Rangers and getting a point is more than many other teams will get, please remember we are a new team and still not at full peltyet so woa betide when we are.
