  1. Would be crazy not to hold onto him until after Thursday and preferably have him not play against us on his first match away from us, delay it by a week and timing would be ideal to have international break to get polworth back up to speed before our next match
  2. You guys do remember how honking Donnely was at Left Back....moving him to RB is madness
  3. Any restriction on pubs buying the games and showing them?
  4. Not having a Sell on Clause if he left at the end of the season could well hurt us most!!!
  5. If they both sign a new deal their value instantly goes up. Offer them an increased % of any transfer fee and they will get a tidy bonus when they move on to more than compensate the value of their weekly wage increase...simples.
  6. It has to be accepted that this coming season will be a season of transition with the younger players given more game time with the aim of making them starting 11 picks the following season. The likes of Lasley and McManus will be pivotal in this transition and will be signing on this season in the knowledge that this could be their season last as a first pick but will be relied upon to pass on their experience both in training and matches. They will get more experience in the coaching and behind the scenes activites with a progression for them to take up this role more full time as opposed to playing following this season. Seems a sensible way to commit to bringing through the youth and at the same time giving the older heads a career path too.
  7. Pretty sure everyone will agree they will be the preferred wingers for IB when fit and available. Pretty much the point of my post as it doesnt sound like the new guy has come here to warm the bench. Also Cant see IB playing 3 at the back to accomodate 3 central mids. Looks like a settled 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 for the majority of matches anyway.
  8. Where will the new boy fit in though once pearo is fit, replace captain Lasley in the middle? Marv and Lionel have made left and right mid their own so they will always start when fit.
  9. Nice to see some new names in the squad so quick, will be interesting to see if the strikers are any good. Outstanding shopping list though:- - Goalkeeper - Long would be OK but there must be better available within our budget - Centre Half - McManus was great in the play offs but the rest of the season was poor, defo need decent cover if not a replacement - Centre Mid - Grant would be decent but he is not versatile enough for Bara i think, was hopeless when not in the centre. Las was very inconsistent and Pearo was injury prone, a solid option required. - Skippy - would be a pleasant luxury bonus signing but not a necessity given the number of attacking options (if Moult signs) Hopeful of a top 6 finish if we stay clear of the horrendous injuries and reduce the rediculous mistakes significantly of last season
  10. Those 2 back will make a massive difference. So will playing players in their positions, getting the ball to the wide players quickly, get them to go to the bye line and have 2 x strikers and having someone who at least resembles half a footballer at left back until Hammell gets back. Actually thought our defence had a decent game compared to recent performances (except straker) Long Ramsden laing McManus watt N thomas grant Pearson d thomas Moore Sutton If Kerr has been as good at centre back as reported then replace McManus, possibly Law could replace Ramsden at right back. Would consider putting ainsworth on right wing if accepts the boot in the arse required. Sutton is the only one who has scored any goals so Erwin on bench.
  11. Anyone know when Pearson and Hammel are due back?
  12. Has there ever been a more exciting tricky double act to grace fir park or indeed Scottish football? Fasten your seatbelts folks and enjoy the show!
  13. Not felt this excited since Juke scored to make it 6-6! This is a cert, we will b needing a goal, Faddy will come on in the last 30 mins, buzzing, then try and win the game himself, beat the full utd team twice then score, a wee bit like Ojamma against Hearts when he signed. Omg Ojamma and Faddy together, forget about the opposition defences, we r going to b dizzy watching they two run rings, can't wait :-D
  14. Getting goosebumps just thinking about fir park dressed up in champions league decoration and the music playing, wow, it might actually happen, never did I realistically think it would!

    Vs Hearts

What was Jenno's celebration? And wow we were awesome today
  16. If Murphy was played in his best position, striker, then easily worth 750k with 18 months of contract left compared to what others with less ability than him have went for.

    Randolph

Bad timing to bam up our best player during the transfer window!

    Randolph

There's only 1 Darren Randolph There's only 1 Darren Randolph He takes no sh1t Off a stupid wee t1t Walking in a Randolph wonderland
  19. Last season I am sure Randolph was close to beating the number of minutes not to have conceded a goal SPL record? Am I right? Surely if he hasn't beat it, he is close to it now!
  20. Think it would be agreat idea to swap ends of the East Stand as it would be right next to the Cooper and they can join in with the chants. As mentioned before we do like a sing song and the songs/chants are more likely to catch on and potentially a lot more voices heard

    Inverness

Nicky Law, exactly the type of player our midfield has been lacking. Jennings Lasley Law, the new Davies, Lambert , Dolan?
  22. Superb, law looks exactly what we need and was surprised with Higdon's awareness, his knock on's and flicks were into areas where team mates were and even hit some great first time cross field passes, although he is a yard short of match fitness.
  23. He will be sadly missed by us all, but we shared great times with our trip to Nancy being one of the best trips ever. So glad u came on that trip with your dad and know my dad was delighted to get to the games with him again, although maybe not as wild as their younger days RIP Pat.
  24. Fitz has a wee kid so he can't risk being greedy then punted when he has a lot to prove after his long injury spell, 6 month deal then he's on his last chance I say.
  25. Jennings has been harshly treated all season, the refs have defo got a disliking for him. Considering he got booked so early (for he-haw) then u don't need to b a genius to make that bet at those odds. There is no surprise the bets were in Liverpool as he has probably been telling all his mates this and the game was live on tv. Plus the ref obviously has something against us, he was brutally bad, I think he is Craig brown's love child from one of his many floozies
