  1. The 1913 one can be bought from Topps Toffs, requesting them for one without the Bradford City badge ............. which is what I'm off to do right now. thanks for the reminder
  2. So leading on from what Brazilian is saying ........... it woud appear you are yanking our chains, in a friendly manner of course.
  3. Given next season celebrates our century in C&A, I'd like to see us wearing the 1913 strip.
  4. The Ashy was next to the bings, (where it got its name), at the end of North Lodge Ave just before it meets Manse Road. George St park was a 5 min walk away. Playing football there was taboo late 60's early 70's, that's why we tended to congregate at the Ashy.
  5. Saw the goals on Sky News sport report just before 6 this am. After some lengthy drivel about John Terry, their Report went a bit like this ................... "Motherwell secured a 3-1 win at Tannadice last night. The home side took the lead as early as the 2nd minute and never looked back. bla bla bla. This now means that Utd must beat St Mirren next week to avoid relegation" I hate incompetent journalism. 3 great goals tho :notworthy:
  6. Outstanding tally so far this season. Well done Big Higgy
  7. Being the 51yr old who had his text read out, you are also "young" to me .................. Excellent performance though. Very articulate and informative. A hearty slap on the back to you Master Anderson.
  8. 3-1 at Tannadump :notworthy: :notworthy:
  9. The Ashy down North Lodge every day during school hols in the 70's. Great days
  10. Completely behind you guys. Without protest we get no progress, and hopefully Utd will get the message and realise the utter folly of their stance. Clubs need to attract fans not put them off. Heavy Hands = Empty Stands Mr Thompson
  11. Of all the Club Chairmen we've had to endure lately, Gilmore and Macgregor have come across the most upfront, transparent and honest. Did anyone give Milne his dummy back

I've got some possibilities for you mate, but as my Outlook is fukk'd ----- so am I, sorry.
  14. Someone correct me I'm wrong please, but I kinda got the feeling the majority of Well Society members who heard the presentation were swayed by the Club's words.
  15. You can put away the pointy sticks girls, what I'm suggesting is that an opinion from across the pond, (or indeed the Highlands for that matter, thank you Buxe), will prove to be inconsequential. Local voices aint being taken into account, what chance one 1000's of miles away !!!
  16. But as an ex-pat, it's inconsequential surely.
  17. And here we are in mid April and the League is yet to be won !!!! Sounds like more durty dealings than the back corridors of Westminster. Pissing the fans off is utter madness, as inevitably even the hardcore patrons will drift away - to be replaced by who ? Just what is there to encourage anyone to become a regular attender of football these days ? The product is poor, The gate prices are too high, Teams play each other too often, Stewarding/Policing is often heavy-handed, Stadiums are soulless and lack atmosphere, Irregular Kick-Off times, Ridiculous mid-week fixture scheduling/clashes, AND FANS APPEAR TO BE THE LEAST IMPORTANT ELEMENT IN THE THOUGHT PROCESS OF THE ADMINISTRATORS OF OUR BELOVED GAME. I say to Milne, Lawwell, Thompson, et all - you go for this ludicrous all or nothing proposal and you may well secure TV's filthy lucre and a new sponsor for a year or so but when the stands are empty and no-one wants to know anymore, we'll all be shouting WE TOLD YOU SO
  18. Strongly agree with this. I can't believe 11-1 will be retained. They've complained about it for long enough - the very same fukkwits who voted it in - and now they want to retain it in this all or nothing nonescence. Well done to St Mirren and Ross County for having the balls to stand up to the bully-boys.
  19. The team have played more to Higdon's strengths this season than last, and that is what a team is meant to do ---- play to each other's strengths. He is reaping the rewards for effective team work, and is deserving of much applause for his contribution this season.
  20. Thats the way it was then, and living in Dalzell Ave didn't make getting home after a game an easy thing to do for this teenager

    Decent travelling support ?
  22. Maybe something to do with the non stop "FERGIE, FERGIE - SHUT YER MOUTH", chant coming from the Shed

    Dundee Game

Given Dundee's recent results, I thought today's trip to Dens could be a tricky one .......... to the team for that result today. Well done everyone.
