  1. My "Rip Off" comment on discovering Levante was £650 ------------ I just wished to emphasise this time that which I failed to do in last year's post and that was accentuate that I'm not blaming MFC.
  2. Quite frankly that's an utter disgrace, - but before you prod me with a pointy stick Brazilian - I'm not pointing the finger at MFC, more the situation they find themselves in, imposed on them by UEFA. I'd like to think the Club have come up with a figure to 'break even', so what if there is no or very little fan uptake ? For every empty "Fan" seat, will the Club find themselves roughly £1300 well out of pocket ?
  3. More than I originally thought by the looks of things. Huge respects to all my fellow Dossers who make the journey, however direct/undirect it turns out to be. Sounds like you'll be very well looked after. Best of luck folks
  4. Good on you if you do go. I went to Katowice by bus - yes the one that only caught the last 10 mins - and in East Germany/Poland it was a nightmare. Bus wasn't built for Hitler's concrete autobahns, and it was 5hrs+ at the border crossing. I appreciate its 20yrs down the line, but I doubt much of the former eastern block that you will travel thru has uuber auto-routes, and that will really really slow you down. And if one person's paperwork is wrong you could all be fukked. Just an FYI .............. best of luck though
  5. ooooooh public lashing from some for that sentiment.
  6. Think thats the wrong team Frazzie
  7. Easyjet to Ankara, Istanbul, Bucharest, Budapest then hire a car looks feasible.
  8. I'm not suggesting that it be that restrictive. A simple X or Y axis thru the middle(ish) of Europe would suffice until the Group Stages - thus handing Clubs with less expensive trips, a chance to make a few bob, and allow fans to follow their team without going into hock/falling out with the wife/or whatever. It's a win-win situation for everyone, and in these times of austerity ----- surely it's common sense FFS.
  9. Having 2 teams from opposite ends of Europe drawn together in the Pre-Qualifying stages - thus throwing the financial and logistical hurdles in our path at what I consider to be an unacceptable stage in the tournament.
  10. £1250 I've just been told. ---------------- hang your head in shame UEFA :wank:
  11. Absolutely no disrespect to our Russian opponents but imho its a bluddy farce that at this stage of the competition a side from south eastern Europe has to play a side from north western Europe. The losers, (more likely to be us), will no doubt experience a financial loss, while supporters face a logistical nightmare and financial hardship to get to the away leg. In our case - a huge thank you to UEFA for this fitting reward for finishing 2nd in an outstanding domestic campaign. Seeding, various entry stages, inhibited fixtures, pot fixing, pre-qualification to the Group Stages ---- Platini and his suits need a boot in the baws for their self-preservation tactics and how they look after the big-boys. imho Tournament should be regionalised prior to Group Stages, give clubs a chance to make some money and fans the scope to follow their team.
  12. I was on 9 trains over the course of the weekend, and only 1 was incident free -- Motherwell to Glas Central. Should have been on 10 but the effin invisible 17:55 from Morecambe to Lancaster was fully booked However, as stated by many others ---- that was a great day out, and a HUGE well done to the young lads, 90mins of non-stop singing. Spoke with a few locals afterwards one of whom said he met an Aberdeen fan on holiday who said Motherwell might not have the most but certainly have the best fans in the league.......yet he was still hugely impressed with the vocal support and atmosphere created by the bois. They also intimated a wee trip to Motherwell may be n the cards this season - easier than a trip to Yeovil or Torquay right enough.
  13. Billionaire owner and a team full of Brazilians ---- gonna be tricky. To all those that go ----------- Enjoy
  14. I feel Cyprus or Turkey as our destination
  15. I lack your patience, so I'll take your word for it
  16. Appreciate your research mate ---- how likely is that to change ?
  17. Is that a total points achieved thru the seasons accumulation ?
  18. I did what I had to do to get there, the Charter would not have been my 1st choice, however I was treated by an old friend's Company Visa card. There was much good and some bad about the trip, much of which I've posted, (the 2hrs in the Wee Dram was good - as were the bars and restaurants up the Panarmou). Well fans come from all walks of life, and like you I have made many acquaintances over the years - including your good self. I don't really care where they eat, where they drink or what they wear ------ each to their own in my book, and when all's said and done we have the common bond of being Well fans. So, we'll agree to differ and share a beer or two in Morecambe, (provided my Ben Sherman shirt, Ed Baxter jeans, Ralph Lauren socks and Adidas gazelles meet with your approval of course ).
  19. Jeez, it's not a Field Trip with the Cultural Society. It's a trip to a football match with fellow Well fans, where congregating in a common theatre is what many find rewarding, and wish to do. If some elitists prefer to huddle together elsewhere and discuss the weave on their crewnecks, who gives a fukk. Mon the Well.
