I'm sympathetic to the difficulties of goalkeeping having spent 12 years in that position in the amateur game. Not easy but I have to say he should have come for that cross even a flick off his hand and out for a corner would have cleared the imminent danger. Having said that he was unlucky the ball squeezed in the smallest of spaces at the near post. Really encouraging overall performance and attitude. Just referenced the 'Well again book by Graham B and Keith B. It was season 93/94 game was originally scheduled for 9/4 but was played 3/5 which would explain midweek evening game. Kirk scored for us crowd was 5208 and you are right re Roddie, he hadnt been signed. We then drew 3-3 away to Raith and lost 1-0 to St J finishing 3rd 1 pt behind Adeen and 4pts behind Rangers. Basically taking 1 point from last 3 games from teams finishing 6th, 10th and 11th which cost us the league...thats how close we actually were. Remember that I think the cooper stand was being built so it was literally a building site behind that goal. Crowd was just over 5000 for a title chasing team!!. Now I could well be wrong here but did Andy Roddie not miss a chance to put us 2 up before Brewster scored and if that was the case it would have been McLeish's first season. True....Saints have always been a good example and I like the way Thistle/Archibald have gone about things, but it has taken time for them, it wasn't that long ago they were struggling. I would like to think our fans would be as patient but I doubt it [emoji6] Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Assuming Moult and Skippy go (and by christ I shudder where we would have been without them) the only players I would keep are Heneghan, Tait, Clay (just), Bowman, Frear, McManus, Cadden if he can get his act together and especially Carl McHugh imo our future captain and who we should build the team around....from the younger kids McLean, McMillan, Campbell, Ferguson...the other U20s I havent seen enough of That leaves a hell of a rebuilding job on a small budget with priorities goalkeepers, left back, and a box to box midfielder, and a nippy striker As others have said some pace and some physical presence would be great. Easier said than done I know but from what Robinson has said I am confident he knows what is required, lets pray he gets his recruitment right. Apologies I was at the u20 3-2 loss v Dunf and Griffiths played in that game, was poor at one of the goals, and I was wrongly told he was in goals in the 6-3 defeat by Thistle. Mind you having just watched it on you tube my point still stands. Understand your frustration as I dont rate him either but we have no one else. The loanee from Everton has not impressed in the U20s and there is only one other kid keeper so blame the previous manager for taking a chance on a crocked Brill. In what way?......the club have said nothing until an appointment is made which is the way it should be. Perhaps you are reacting to the speculation on here which as in any messageboard will contain the usual mixture of views and conjecture. Ok lets look at this another way. We have been honkin all season we dont create enough chances and we have a pourous defence. Now does anyone seriously think that ANY person can come in and overnight with the same players suddenly right EVERYTHING thats wrong. The board have a choice to make and we all have to hope they get it right......bring in someone fresh with all the disruption that may bring and pray they hit the ground running (cos they will need to) or stick with the interim management team who have produced improved (although far from perfect) performances. I know howver a shit performance at Adeen would have seen another humping and further damage to fragile confidence. Dont get me wrong I am frustrated as anyone at the late goal but teams in our position dont usually turn overnight into a team that can take a point or better away from the current 2nd place team in the league so for now I will take the better performance and the confidence it will generate Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Aye but ffs a huge improvement from a 7-2 humping...good god if the criteria for success as a mwell manager is avoiding defeat at Adeen then we will be going through managers at a hell of a rate. Massive injury list, some playing no doubt not fully fit, an organised, disciplined and gutsy performance and still the barbs come, all from a team who have been rank previously displaying none of the above. ....but we got beat so Robinson 'failed' ....bewildering.
