  1. A conspiracy theory too far? Who knows but whether in positive or negative mode Ya Bezzers posts are well constructed and not abusive or begging for attention, so I doubt they are one and the same. But who knows (or cares, I just want sensible debate from different viewpoints not silly games![emoji6] ) Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  2. I think Rose was in the team to provide exra defensive and offensive height against Hearts as well as doing a lot of grunt work. I rate Campbell highly but he is not exactly tall With the various permutations now available to us I expect to see a horses for courses approach depending on opposition and game circumstances (ie bringing Campbell on to help protect a lead) Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  3. Ouch!! christ we had a number of strikers at the time and were short in midfield, that was madness.....anyway great to see a more balanced approach to player recruitment nowadays Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  4. Watched the Burton v Birm game last week and Irvine was absolutely outstanding, shame we didn't land him...who was the flopped striker Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  5. Thought Dunne had a good game, seems like a decent player despite the earlier misgivings Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  6. Just seen the highlights and noticed it was Rose who closed down and initially tackled the Hearts player allowing Tait to gain possession and feed Moult for that sublime finish. You can't say its an assist but its the type of thing that does show his value to the team. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  7. I used to work the scoreboard some years ago so was at the back of the stand next to the media guys and to be fair Richard Gordon (and Craig Paterson and Murdo McLeod) were nice guys and always happy to chat. I think you maybe right about it being editorial cause previously on the long drive home you got far wider post match coverage Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  8. Sportscene and sportsound are becoming like radio clyde on a bad day. Driving home Saturday hoping to catch up on what happened around the country and all we got was over 20 minutes wittering about Celtic game and the weekly fawning interview with McInness. Disappointing sadly not surprising their lack of indepth or even reasonable knowledge of the 'diddy' teans Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  9. Totally agree re Rose, actually thought he supported front two well today, although was caught too far forward at their goal...he does a lot of 'grunt' work that often goes unoticed, always showing at throw ins, playing simple short passes, and closing down space. It is the type of role that is never fully appreciated except by teammates and manager. Anyways regards mom has to be Kipre who was outstanding Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  10. Just watched the highlights as you say terrific strike also a great cross for third goal...looks a player. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  11. I get where you are coming from and I actually think Robbo is covering both issues...immediate strengthening plus options for the future Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  12. Couldn't agree more Coop. When I heard about this signing I thought someone would have a go about it, but like you I think this is a sensible move which covers a number of bases. Robbo needs to buy time and have a number of options to cover signings not working out and/or U20s not fullfilling potential. You need youngsters with the mentality to overcome obstacles and competition to reach the first team (not to see it as a right of passage) and grab their chance when it comes. No more Blyths on 3 year deals is a big positive...now thats the type of signing it is right to have a go at, not this one which says 'prove yourself' Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  13. Realise it won't be convenient for the majority but it is a cracking surface and its only 40 minutes up the motorway...having made the journey the other way for 30 years or so from a purely selfish point of view it will make it easier for me to see who could potentially kick on! 14. Hmmm are you perfect Steelboy? Have you ever got somethings wrong at your work, have you ever had the actual responsibility to formulate a plan, see its not working and then change it, have you ever had to put a team of people together, motivate and train them. From the tone of your posts I doubt it as if you have then you will realise managing anything is not an exact science, and perhaps be a bit more realistic in your expectations. It seems to me you have an irrational dislike for our manager which transcends the normal debate and differences of opinion quite rightly aired on here, but I will give you this you have been consistent in your view of him. For now I am happy with what he has done since he stepped in. As regards the likes of Campbell/McLean he has proved he is willing to put them in but they now have to prove they are up to the task. If they do they will play more often simples, but expecting them to be regular starters every week is unrealistic at this stage of their development As you say Campbell changed things when he came on. Wonder who made that decision? But I suppose in your eyes he should be castigated for not starting with him so deserves no credit for making the change. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  15. http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/sport/15483809.Pep_Clotet__Marvin_Johnson_left_out_of_Oxford_United_squad_due_to_tight_hamstring/?ref=rss I see Marv declared he had a 'tight' hamstring so was not in Oxford squad today, and did not travel with the team. Hmmmm I smell sh### Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  16. Agree with all of that but what does 'shilpit' mean? Thats a new one for me and I am often accused of using strange words! Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  17. I see BBC reporter is crediting our victory to changing formation to 3 5 2. Couldn't make it today, is that an accurate report? Great to see a win being ground out when not playing well and a manager prepared to make the right changes at the right time. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  18. Ya bezzer seems to think the opposite (ie Airdrie fans not happy with him), but then he has been putting a pretty negative spin on most things recently. Never seen the lad play but happy to trust the clubs judgement on this and the immediate loan back plus having him involved at Motherwell during the week seems sensible Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  19. 2 cracking goals great build up and finishing.....future is bright. If a home draw next lets get it at FP and get a crowd in to see the lads Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  20. Craig Clay an unused sub as Orient thrashed 6-1 by Bromley Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  21. As ever a well thought out sensible post making good critical points but fair and reasonable. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  22. Tickety boo old boy....all way too clever for this old git Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  23. Love it, I felt your pain on the previous blog mentioned, as it in many ways epitomised how I felt, and agree with every word in this one. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  24. Can't think of any in recent times. Think the big man could be immense for us. He has a good head on his shoulders as well, watching highlights, at very end of match a ball was played into the box, County man had possession but he didn't dive in, forced him back then ft whistle went. Brains and Brawn that will do for me Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
  25. Aye Bigi caught in posession to start it all, maybe not fully fit after missing Sunday Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
