  1. And Ladywell, I noticed no such concern around the "WORST SIGNING EVER" thread. I apologise for putting forth my opinion on our current best, and worst, players, in my opinion.

Would you rather I had disliked a player of your preference? Or thought that everyone was fine and rosy?

  2. He was dropped immediately after his blinder, (and a few other decent displays),

    Michael

I will agree that he was unfairly dropped after that game. Very, very unfairly. In his short runs in the team, however, he was prone to disappearing.

I really hope he proves that what he has showed is more him than luck. , but I am sorely unconvinced.

(thanks with the Michael, but it's Niain, mate)

  3. Wasn't desperately interested in a debate, especially about Forbes, where my feelings are known. I just wondered what folk's opinion's were on best and worst.

As for Forbes, is he so lacking in confidence he can't put in a challenge in a normal game, but can play a blinder against Celtic? My fucking arse. He's lazy. Unless maybe,,, he needs,,, coaxing,,, to get his true ability,,, Two seasons of periodic decency suggests purple patch more than true quality, Steve,

  4. Simply favourite/best, and least favourite/pretender for the moment, at Fir Park

Favourite - Shaun Hutchinson. Reckon he is absolutely crucial to our defence, and will go for big bucks very shortly. The boy is a tank, and speedy with that.

    - Hon Mentions - Lasley, Craggs, Murphy, Jennings, obviously if he stays (and Hately at right back)

Least favourite - Forbes, as the majority will guess. The boy has the potential. I just think he is far too lazy to harness it. I think that he reckons that it's made for him. I really want him to do well, for Motherwell and himself, but I just don't think he has the minerals.

  5. Busta, what are you getting at? I was saying that the badge shouldn't be changed. Am I missing something?

Apologies. When it's connected to the tele, I can't see in (any) detail.

Fair play, ya negative git .dirol.gif

  6. No point in the fir trees either if we move

Going with that, there's no point in Ravenscraig either?

Although, if it weren't for tradition, they would be dubious when we become CashConverters Stadium, or such like,

  7. I'm ok with a stadium change, but bollocks to a new badge and a change of our claret and amber. It's at least slighty different from the usual.

Doubt a colour change will get much support, considering the (justified, in my opinion) complaints when we don't have a claret hoop on the top.

  8. There were a few folk like him, that seemed to play one or two games (again, around roughly the same time) then disappear. Gerry Britton & Khaled Kemas spring to mind.

I think Britton was brought in to train with us mainly, and got somewhat chucked in at the deep end for a couple of games much later on (I mean that I think he only actually signed for about a month)

  9. I agree with almost everything you say I just don't think he is our worst ever signing. I don't think he is even close. I think we took a gamble on a player who was decent in the past and it failed. I just think there has been far worse than him.

    +1

  10. Only 2nd time round surely, although he did score a cracking header to round off a great move against Dundee Utd. which just about exempts him.

I can only remember him from the second time! Showing my (lack of) age. My first season ticket was 1998.

He's not in the running for worst player for me, with some of the other candidates. He pops in at the below-mediocre range, but not hellish.

  11. I know I am likely to be shot down for this but Steve McGarry was absolutely fucking uselss. Andy Roddie was also very rank. Think Stevie Woods got a bad press, he was an average SPL quality keeper.

    Nearly said McGarry myself.

He's piss poor, but not as bad as the Malpas trio, or Steve McDonald, recently.

Alex Burns also popped into my head.

  12. We desperately need another striker. Severely lacking in cover there, and I've not quite got the faith in McHugh yet. At first team level, he seemed to do a lot of running about, and very little else.

Still got hope for him though,

As for the 'outs' - Forbes is in dire need of a short loan for playing time.

  13. I'm impressed that we're getting folk in prior to preseason training. Allows for better link up, and saves trying to integrate as many for the first few games of the season. Also gives me the impression that we aren't just hoovering up the available scraps come August.
