  1. It would definitely appear that way. He can play football. I just believe that he's an impostor at that level.

Acht, like it matters anyways. He'll continue playing at a higher level than us for most of his career, and that's the end of it.

Thus, back onto dodgy rumours about the club.

Heard a rumour last night from my dad that we're in for Shrewsbury winger Jon Taylor.

Wikipedia tells me 16 appearances, 6 goals last year.

  2. You can find it as amusing as you like. My personal opinion is that I would select Lasley above Brown for a Motherwell team, and would leave Broen at a level no higher than Hibs.

It is, as I say, a personal opinion/. Alternatively, I have no opinion, and I only follow that which the professional managers go with.

They are, going with your post, infallible, and immune to any criticism/alternate viewpoints, by dint of being paid for their work, no?

  3. The C&A specs off, I said for a Motherwell team, I would rather have Lasley.

Not at an EPL team, but at Motherwell.

As for "decent EPL" teams being in for him, I notice a lack of a concrete bid, outwith the 2+2=5 Sun.

I genuinely do not rate him as a mid level player.

As for the Scotland manager comment, I will choose Levein to demonstrate idiotic call ups. Garry Fucking Kenneth.

Brown in a Scotland team? In front of Adam, Fletcher, Bannan?

These players, who actually play for EPL teams?

  4. He's a walking red card.

    He's stupendously over rated.

    He's a fucking headless chicken.

He's scored a few tap ins.

    He has dictated..... no games.

He's a poor ball retention tackler.

    He's Scott Brown.

5 Million pound player? The old firm buy whatever looks half decent in Scotland at the time, at whatever price. He'll be forgotten within 5 years.

  5. They did, however, scrap the student ticket entirely.

I think all football is heinously overpriced, but relatively, Motherwell do a good job in terms of price.

Compare the number of home games, per pound, to the price of a cinema ticket every home game Saturday. They will come up very similar, and I would think, perhaps, that the season ticket at Fir Park is slightly cheaper for a day out. (East Stand, clearly)

  6.

You will not of seen them for ages and the club needs every penny it can get. Surely they are good enough reasons to turn up.

I see Motherwell play Leeds in a meaningless game, or I can afford the rent.

I need every penny I can get, never mind the club, who, at the end of the day, just got a couple of hundred quid for my season ticket.

I don't disapprove of the friendly itself, but don't presume to question other fans who have other interests than seeing a turgid friendly.

  7. I did wonder about that in the Europa this year. It's a tough one, but the best I could come to was;

Motherwell, for the simple reason that a victory over Liverpool would mean more to me as a Motherwell fan, in terms of a scalp, and a win that we'd never forget, than a win for Liverpool over Motherwell would be.

((Although I'd add that it's very much the "Celtic or Rangers - if you had to pick just one, no matter what" thing that they enjoy. It would take ridiculous odds for the situation ever to arise where I'd have to make the choice, and if/when it happened, I may react differently))

  8. To me that is silly,

I was broughtg up supporting Motherwell.

I have an Uncle who supports Celtic. he's a good bloke and I see him often, hell I've even been to glasgow and parkhead. I used to see them on scotsport.

I have no good feeling toward Celtic.

The Celtic analogy is nonsense. You've picked a team who Motherwell regularly compete against, and whilst it's not realistic that we would compete against them for a league, they remain a rival team.

  9. It's fair enough if you lived somewhere else for a while and actually went to some games, or have family connections. But aye, otherwise it mostly smacks of Old Firm-style glory-hunting :whistling:

I'm split dead 50-50 between Motherwell and Liverpool. Motherwell because I was brought up supporting them, and Liverpool as I have an uncle who has always supported them, and has lived in Liverpool practically as long as I've been about. Tend to go down yearly, and always loved the place, so it made sense to start following them, to give a bit of interest when MOTD came on, but they grew on me completely, and now, as I say, complete split loyalties.
