Sad to here the news of Bobby passing……Motherwell born and bred Was very unfortunate to be at Liverpool at the time when Anfield was awash with great strikers, including St John, who signed him when he was our manager …..Bobby still managed to be included in the poll The 100 Players who shook the Kop (2013)“ He played all 54 games in the 1969/70 season. After a promising start to the 1970/71 season, he fell awkwardly on the Anfield turf when Chelsea were the visitors early in October and was carried off with a broken leg……. Think it’s a nice change……..and unlike some recent Macron away kits has C&A in the trim I like the script (our original- first) badge which reminds me of the early 70’s….. think it would also work with the current home claret shorts

We never wore black shorts in the 50/60’s……..shorts were always white until 1968 According to Historical football kits …….we wore black shorts as away strip with home top 1927-29 and with home kit just after War 1947/8

The 44-year-old football teacher takes over the head coach for the new season 2025/26 and has signed a contract in the cathedral city until 30.06.2027. Most recently, Wimmer, who came from Dingolfing in Lower Bavaria, worked for the Scottish first division team Motherwell FC. The new head coach of the SSV Jahn has been determined and is called Michael Wimmer. Together, the heads of the SSV Jahn and the native of Dingolfinger have agreed on a cooperation for the next two years. Sports Managing Director Achim Beierlorzer says: "Michael Wimmer has left a very good impression on us and quickly showed that with his ideas, ideas as well as his energy and personality he fits our expectations and our requirements for the new Jahn head coach. His teams want to act courageously and with high intensity and show purposeful football.
