  1. Not the most mobile no9 weve ever had,but makes up for it in effort and commitment,we should get him signed up again asap :P

Think his mrs is from west of scotland (could be wrong) which could influence his decision!

  2. Quite simply, we can have no complaints tonight. Kilmarnock came for a point and walked away with three, well done to them.

You can go on all you like about them 'mugging' us but the fact is that we did nothing to deserve to win that game tonight because you can have all the possession in the world, if you can't score goals then you don't deserve to win games. We are utterly powderpuff upfront and we just don't look like scoring goals just now unless it's from a set piece or from a long range effort that we get lucky from.

Tonight we played okay, nothing more, nothing less. We showed some decent movement but yet again we have nothing in the final third. Jamie Murphy is most definately not a centre forward, he's too lightweight and doe not possess the instinct needed to be a striker. And Casagolda? Well I can see why he's not been a regular this season based on that display tonight.

And yet again we lose a poor, poor goal that could easily have been prevented.

So all in all it's another worrying performance and I don't see it getting any better anytime soon because there is nothing in that squad that inspires any confidence and a relegation battle may very well be on the cards.

    Worrying times ahead...

  3. The stats are your hands too, show me Alan Gow as an effective footballer and as a good team mate.

    .

He has never lost a game in a cup tie for years ! Just whay we need just now ;)

  4. Highlighs look like only one team in it - and they got beat. As has been said, if that was a penalty, then I look forward to seeing at least half-a-dozen a side in each SPL game for the rest of the season.

Agree ...........But on the plus side,if a pen was given every time a player pushed/pulled whether looking at the ball or not ,we will have games 8-8 every week !!!!!!

Imagine if that was given against Smellic  ......

  5. I'm not expecting much from this due to our recent record with them. So hopefully I will be on here on Sunday night hailing an amazing victory and the chat about the forthcoming cup final.

    Hopefully :D

Taking the wee man,his first game at Hampden..........still have horrible memories of 76 JP Gordon game ma self :( ......................time for revenge

  6. BBC text updates...

2127: Motherwell's Steve Jones sends a ball cross-field to Chris Humphrey who cuts inside and strikes the ball left-footed wide of the goal. It's safe to say that St Johnstone's keeper Peter Enckelman hasn't had a save to make tonight. :dash2:

  7. Alan Gow league matches since leaving Falkirk

    0 wins in 0 for Rangers - didn't play a game

4 wins in 17 for Blackpool - loan not renewed

4 wins in 13 for Norwich - loan not renewed

2 wins in 14 for Plymouth - Signed for 200K for 2 years, loaned after 6 months, released after 1 year

1 win in 7 for Hibs - loan not renewed

7 wins in 16 for Motherwell - short term contract not renewed

0 wins in 2 for Notts County

Last 3 league victories in which Alan Gow played the majority of the game

    06/11/10 ICT 1- 2 Mothewell subbed 84mins for Forbes

    23/10/10 Motherwell 2 - 1 Dundee United subbed 78mins for Sutton

    07/11/09 Plymouth 2 - 1 Doncaster subbed 69mins for Noone

Last league victory where Gow played 90 minutes

    10/03/09 Norwich 2 - 0 Cardiff

    -------------------------------------------

Aside from his spell at Fir Park he has been a loser (3 wins with us he came on as a sub after the game was won, last minute St.J, Hearts and 79mins up 3-0 vs St.J) for the last 3 years, he hasn't helped any of the clubs he has been with. If you want facts backing up that he is cancer at whatever club he goes to you only need to look at what he has achieved. His behaviour when negotiating with Swindon was called a disgrace.

Aye that no matter how shite he appears to be,he still makes a good living out of football

Ps why did you miss out his cup games ?

  8. Despite all his moaning about refereeing decisions, Calderwood didn't remind us of the "off-side goal" wrongly disallowed when the teams met in November.

On that note the shocking decisions in the first game at the 'Arc when Hughes was in charge! :)

  9. Off topic I know but not worth its own thread , which are the best pre match pubs around hampden particularly ones where we can avoid the blue people ?

For your info The Spur bar on Polmadie Road,(where the Well buses are normally parked) is now a sandwich shop........sad loss was there at last 2 h*n semis it was a Smellic shop !

The International on Aikenhead Road is not to bad,the Montford or the Beechwood (both just of Aikenhead Road) are close to the Smellic end !

  10. I'm sure as the week progresses there will be more of a build up of things from the club's side. They'll probably want to focus on the St Johnstone game first before whipping up excitement about the Semi Final.

No reason ofcourse why the can't do some stuff about ticket sales though.

I think we'll take around the 4000 mark in the end which won't be markedly different from the 4500 odd who were at Tynecastle for the Semi Final there, might have been more the following year at Hampden though. I'd guess you'll be looking at around 20,000-25,000 mark for the crowd as a whole.

From listening to my h*n work mates, they dont think there will be many h**s going, they are having to for out £38 for the Smelic scottish cup game,£34 for the next europa league game.

They have a thing you register with the club, for away tickets and home cup tickets.Once you are registered you get tickets for all games not covered by their season ticket and money is debited direct from your bank account !!!!!

    20,000 sounds about right <_>

  11. Hutchinson is a very good prospect but lets face it Hibs were the worst team I've seen at Fir Park this season and they could have played all day and not scored. Not the sternest test in the world.

Possibly down to the excellent play by MFC!!!!
