  1. Once you lose an early goal against the ugly sisters you are always on the back foot .............you could bet your life on that we would not have got both the penalties that Brother Madden awarded had they happened in their box.........and  if the challenge on Campbell was on a Rangers player it would have been a stonewaller........the double standards by the commentators on  the challenge on Lang, if that was an ugly sister players it would be he “felt a touch”  and he was entitled to go down.......but Lang’s a cheat as he went down to easy.

Scottish football is fecked as the press/tv/authorities etc etc pander to these horrible cunts always have and always will do

Embarrassing that we have not had 3 points of them for eighteen years...........the game plan was fecked in the 1st minute and apart from a tremendous Carson save I feel it could have been a lot worse

We have been overdue a switch from quantity to quality. £200,000 seems like a lot of money in terms of a one off payment but all the duds we have signed over the past few years will have cost us way more.

Also when people are throwing around transfer figures from the 90s you have to remember inflation and that the clubs turnover has increased greatly since then. In real terms even if Lang costs that much it's still less than Andy Roddie.

It's easy to think that it's still the 90s when you are in the East Stand listening to Oasis and the Stone Roses but it was 20+ years ago!

    Andy Roddie........what a strip !!!!

Another sad story and not the last EFL team to go into administration or worse.

As a potential creditor, I expect that will be little likelihood of getting a sell on fee for the big man.

Hopefully the transfer money was paid in full......im sure the Huddersfield chairman reckoned 50-60 EFL teams were close to administration last month

Why did we have 2 different kits in season 78/79?

Change of manager...... I’m sure Ally MacLeod preferred the old Admiral kit to the 2 stripe top  that started that season with Roger Hynd...I think

Yes 2 sides to every story so hard to take sides. I was massive Dicky Tait fan and would rather see a wage spent on him than another unknown non league player.  But again we dont know full facts...COYW

We signed Tait from “non league”Grismby who ironically had just beat ForestGreen Rovers to get promoted To the football league......Tait had only  played one season in the football league 14/15  Cambridge  prior to signing for us..........NathanMcGinley has never played non league football

Rumour I heard he was  obsessed  with becoming a personal trainer ............was warned repeatedly about spending to much time in the gym bulking up in the gym.......only saying

I’m hoping for a revival of our 70s Umbro white away for season 21-22. It’s long overdue a reboot. However, I’m sure they will modernise the 70s floppy winged collar to something more ‘now’ from their extensive shirt template archive.

Lovely ..........as I’ve said to you before .........it’s not hard !!!!! Prefer the script to our “unfortunate” dated badge.....imho

Right, but the main argument on here is band vs hoop (and how it's the hoop that is the "traditional" style).  How many true hoops since 1970?

Like I said, my formative years from the ages of about 5 - 20ish were hoopless, and images of guys like Wullie Pettigrew are seared onto my brain wearing the sash kit. So while I am 100% in favour of maintaining traditions and the hoop,  on a purely personal front, the memories of chipmunk crisps, kia-ora and "goal for Pettigrew" will always be emotionally tied to those other styles (even though, aesthetically I'm a big fan of the current version).

It's for much the same reasons I'll never like any change kit more than a white one.

I’m a big hoop/ band fan, but have the same  memories of WP in the sash kit and loved the re run of 15/16 Season

Its a shame that for nearly 15 years 70s to mid 80s the hoop/band disappeared, and in 1991 that we were hoop/band less on that magical  May afternoon......imho ........& don’t get me started on the home white shorts debate !!!!!

You would need to test the contrast on a Spectrophotometer to be 100% certain the numbers/colours met with UEFA rules. Personally I don’t see an issue with using white numbers, however, Motherwell are playing safe just in case they reach the group stages where the rules would kit in proper.

This is my non scientific visual test using the computer generated graphics on the Well Shop page. I’ve added a full hoop and used SPFL numbers.

Any UEFA officials in the house?
