  1. It was a fair and hard tackle. Studs weren't up and he got the ball.
  2. I agree Gary about the SFA stuff. It's a bit cringeworthy. Would be great if this kinda stuff...http://www.youtuberepeat.com/watch/?v=Ib6YqIKc_mY&list=UU1n2YUS_h-pJ111EHGZuU6g&index=1&feature=plcp was taken up by more people around the stadium. How do we make that happen? Looking thrugh some youtube clips and stuff, it is clear that the new drum chants are making a difference to the whole atmosphere, changing it from a negative, dour one to a positive, carnival kind of atmosphere, regardess of hat is happening on the pitch. Is there scope for more instruments?
  3. Hoping the boys at the end can kickstart the atmosphere tonight! Drums and whistles and flags! If I am not constrained by seat numbers then I am in amongst it too
  4. What did the banners say today? Was in the East Stand so couldnt see them, Also what are the words to the Nicky Law song, the one that has the line 'the best winger i ever saw"? Can never make it out.
  5. According to Randolph on Twitter, he's been to the supermarket and walked his dog today, and is going nowhere. Not the kind of activity you might associate with someone about to sign for another club today.
  6. http://sport.stv.tv/football/scottish-premier/motherwell/295781-jamie-murphy-undecided-over-motherwell-move/ Motherwell have accepted a bid for winger Jamie Murphy from Blackpool but the player has not yet decided on the move.STV has learned that Murphy is still considering his options and has not yet travelled for talks. He is set to discuss the matter with his family before considering personal terms. The English Championship side had made a previous approach for the former Scotland Under-21 star and manager Ian Holloway had said that he was unlikely to resurrect his bid for the player. However, contact was made between the clubs again on Tuesday morning and after an undisclosed fee was agreed between both parties, Blackpool were granted permission to hold talks with Murphy. The 22-year old came through the youth system at Fir Park and has made over 160 appearances for the club since making his first team debut in 2007.

    Lasley Transfer!

Fucknugget, I like it. And mon tae fuck, I've seen ten of these in the last half hour but the subject line made me go 'aww fucks sake', exactly the same reaction as when I clicked yer link. I might start some topics saying we've signed Xavi, just to pass the time. Good craic.

    Lasley Transfer!

It's nonsense mate, a spoof Jim White SSN video saying Lasley has signed for Barca for £83 million

    Lasley Transfer!

HotD for this pish! I got linked to a Rooney one and semi-believed it for about 30 seconds.

    Dunfermline

Spot on as well. Higdon is an excellent SPL centre forward in the 'traditional' style - his link up play is intelligent and he brings people into the game - if those people can read it. Perfect example was after a long ball from Randolph, Ojamaa and Higdon were in almost exactly the same spot upfield. Realising it was heading their way, Ojamaa realises Higdon has more chance of winning the header, which he does, and before Higdon has even got his head to it, Ojamaa is on his way round the back of the defender. Simple, elementary stuff but I haven't really seen anyone do that in a while. I have always appreciated Higdon and what he brings to the team, and would go as far to say on scoring ability and all round play he is certainly one of the best strikers outside the OF.
  11. Ojamaa on Alba mentions the backing of the fans as being excellent and he hopes it will continue on Saturday
  12. Great performance, good atmosphere for such a small attendance. Can I ask though - I was right in front of Ojamaa's booking and my initial reaction as the ref came over was red card. It was pretty wild in my opinion but would like to see it again, possible 2 footer and he didnt get the ball. Thoughts?
  13. Sat in that section for the first time tonight, stood all game, sang for nearly 90 mins, and enjoyed it rmore than I have in a long time. Even managed to get the chant for Higdon going The problem is that apart from one occasion where it filtered round to the Cooper for about 5 seconds, it doesn't go past about 3rd block down from the singers. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but what is the answer?
  14. Don't see where you get that from. A pretty measured and realistic response from them I thought. Basically along the lines of, "och ffs we wanted a day out further away than Motherwell, they're a good team, we'll probably get beat but we might have a slight chance."
  15. How is CraiganOG a definite? Would be hugely surprised to see him move on. I can't argue with the rest really as despite our 'small' squad it is only artificially small by the perceived quality of these players. And if McCall doesn't think they are good enough then most of them might well be out. Shame though, because out of those, no-one has really had much of a chance apart from Forbes. Lawless seems a very good prospect whenever I've seen him, as does Halsman.
  16. Starting to wish I put that bet on!
  17. Shocking decisions there, firstly their winner was offside, blatantly. How craig burley can watch back the replay and say he is clearly onside is beyond me. Secondly, Clancy never should have gone. Absolutely nothing in it and was purely accidental. Craig burley also makes no attempt to remain impartial ad should not be put on games involving Celtic.
  18. Link up play awful? Can't win headers? I think its evident who was at yesterday's game and who wasn't. Faraway Saint is right. Who would you rather have? Someone who puts the ball in the back of the net or someone who doesnt but 'looks' to be putting in a shift. Away and bile yer heids - Higdon will end up with a better record than Sutton, and towards the end of his time he was a hero on here. Having said that I'd like to see who would win in a 100m race between Higdon, Sutton and Craigan
  19. He was all over the place yesterday, in that he didnt give anyone a minute's peace, was often the main support going forward at breakaways like Murphy's yesterday in the 2nd half and last week aganst Aberdeen when Bob McHugh went solo, and put the foot in every time. A Dons fan I know says that Lasley is his "most hated player in the SPL bar none". I think that has more to do with how effective he is than anything else! Boom, boom, boomboomboomboom KEITH
  20. Yesterday was my 3rd away game of the season I would happily say that we are playing better stuff away than at home. It is possible that the away support IS more positive and behind the team and maybe it has something to do with it, along with the style of play we use.
  21. This. Are one of the affected going for it...? Might be good to draft a letter on here first...?
  22. I actually thought they were alright on it. They corrected themselves when Jim Spence said that Rangers are 10 points clear, and kept pointing out that Motherwell were 2nd, and even promoted Motherwell splitting the OF as a (slightly patronising IMO) discussion topic. It's a lot better than the OF wank-fest that is Clyde 1 SuperScoreboard. Only problem is that instead of slurring weegies they have slurring teuchters who are even more indecipherable! Anyone want to own up to being 'Motherwell fan Jamie on his way home from the game'?
  23. They were talking about this on Your Call on Radio Scotland - about how Motherwell are 2nd and should have more of a travelling support. I think we all know the multitude of reasons why it doesnt happen, but I thought today's away support was pretty poor in terms of numbers, but got right behind the team. We were looking for the drums and flags to join in but didn't see anyone!
  24. Today was as good a target man's performance as I've seen from any player at any level (relative to the players around him of course). He had a great game and deserves to walk the MoM.
