  1. Had planned to get the train through with my old man, was set up nicely, as the burd works in retail, so was working anyway. Now she's nightshift Friday, off Saturday, so the fact I'll be out all afternoon, and we have opposing holidays over chritmas and new year, could make this very unpopular! Saturday now being the only day we'll spend together. Now considering driving, or just leaving it? She said "just go if you've made plans", but does she mean it????
  2. Is there not some websites that can do Questionaires for you? Might make it easier to compile the data, and also makes it anonymous, which some people may prefer? Anybody know a free website for composing questionnaires?
  3. Much like a fixed penalty for motoring offences. You can take 3 points and £60 or they pass it on to the PF, it goes to court, and the court decides, you might get off, you might get made an example of. Does anyone know are these fixed penalty type things always just a 2 match ban?
  4. I would presume so, and possibly run the risk of an increased penalty for a frivolous appeal?? Butcher was talking about £1000 for johnny Hayes (?) appeal, although that was to appeal a red in a game. I had genuinely never considered the fact that jenno could get a ban for this incident! Absolutely shocking. 2 matches for a dive, which is a booking if you're caught. 2 matches for violent conduct which is a red card and 2 match ban if caught at the time. Jenno gets 2 matches for ????? You could argue Goodwin has got off lightly!! How many times have the SFA asked us not to play jenno?
  5. I think it's "fast track", so any appeal would be on Thursday or Friday in time for the hearts game.
  6. I'm surprised at how little outrage there is at this!!! Jennings was booked for a bad tackle, before which he was the victim of a bad tackle, and after which he was pushed and punched, surely jenno has been dealt with? How the fcuk can they offer both players the same punishment!
  7. I've been saying for years that's what we need to do. A well marketed and consistent cheap gate price. Have fans of hearts, Hibs, stmirren, killie... looking at the fixtures and pencilling in fir park as the one they're going to go to, or take the kids along to. I'd say most teams season ticket holders and home punters will go to the odd away game, so make it an easy decision to make Motherwell that game. The problem previously has been John boyles scatter gun approach to pricing, I think my record was 5 games in a row without paying the same price! There's no point doing a one off, as visiting fans and neutrals won't necessarily hear about it, and any extra punters you get in, aren't coming a week later when the price doubles.

I reckon it would be a lot cheaper than that! Especially if some of the existing equipment/ cabling can be reused?
  9. My ticket came this morning! Was royal mail, 1st class stamp, and post mark was 30th.
  10. One of ours came, and as it turns out, the other is not needed, mate had to work. So we are ok. I wonder if it's mfc or royal mail to blame though? Probably royal mail to be fair, and I suppose it's unfair to expect them to spend more than the cost of a stamp on a FREE ticket. Hope it's a success and there's a good crowd, atmosphere and game tonight!
  11. I went to uddy grammar, and was 90% rangers, there was only a handful of 'well fans in my year, a couple of girls who still go to the games, very few guys. Seemed to be more 'well fans in other years, as viewpark BBs was not far off 50/50 Motherwell and rangers.
  12. Me and my mate both still waiting. One email was last minute, but the other was sent last week. Hopefully they'll come tomorrow.
  13. I thought we played well (2nd half) at pittodrie in what was more of a 4-4-2, with Omar Daley upfront with higdon, although McCall said it was a diamond midfield?
  14. Fair enough. Hopefully arrive in the morning. I'm pretty sure our posty is part time, we never get mail on a Monday!
  15. Anybody got their free ticket? Or there nominated mate got theirs? Deadline was Monday evening, so I'd guess process on Tuesday, post Wednesday, arrive Thursday? Can't complain, as it's a free ticket, but cutting a bit fine if they weren't posted for Thursday delivery. I know I for one probably won't be going home after work on Friday, and it would be a PR catastrophe if they didn't arrive on time!!
  16. Bit harsh! Having said that, if he's played 403 games, I've probably been at 250 odd, at £20 a go, I've spent £5000 watching Stevie hammell!
  17. Fairy muff! Memory playing tricks on me!
  18. I was sure it was at hampden? Maybe got my queens mixed up?
  19. Yes, clarkson got a straight red for going up for a header with an elbow. Butcher was raging, as because game was in Scotland he was suspended for 1st game of season.
  20. I take your point, but as I said, I'm talking more generally. Motherwell have the cheapest tickets in the spl I'd imagine, so are going in the right direction, but it's still too expensive. Perhaps years and years of mismanagement when clubs DID have money, and were pulling in bigger crowds has lead us to this point? I'm really enjoying following Motherwell this season, but in all honesty, in most games there is a glaring lack of quality on the park. Do you honestly think £20+ is a realistic price for an spl game?
  21. Not talking about Motherwell in particular here, as our prices aren't too bad compared to others, but to flip your argument on it's head, how can clubs justify cutting squad sizes, reducing the wages they are willing to pay, and refusing to spend in the transfer Market, instead picking up free agents from the English lower leagues. So reducing the quality of the product, in stadiums that in many cases are deteriorating as well, yet year on year they stick another quid on the entry price????
  22. I reckon £10-15 is about right, £15 is more realistic. I think 10-20 years of increasing prices and certainly over the last 10 years decreasing quality mean it's too late! Scottish football, or certainly outwith the old firm has lost thousands of fans, that they won't get back!
  23. Is it inside the stand? Or on the outside wall behind the ticket office? I'm hoping to get along in tine to see it.
  24. Not an Ian wright fan , but if he wants to talk about it, then it's a great chance to have your voice heard. I saw it, but wasn't involved. Somebody who's a good speaker and was there should take him up on this.
  25. I haven't forgotten hillsborough, but there were a variety of reasons behind that. It could not happen in a safe standing area if one was created, or in a stand with people standing in front of their seats, for so many reasons! In the context of Scottish football, it was probably not needed to follow the recommendations, although it did bring the level of facilities out the stone ages in a lot of cases.
