  1. At a glance I'd say hardly any of the grounds offer the lower price to away fans. I think £15 is where clubs should be charging. J would definitely go to more games at £15. I don't think any away games are under £20?
  2. Can we not afford Jeffers wages? I believe he is a free agent. He seemed to fit in ok, and showed flashes of what he can do. His movement off the ball is amazing to watch!
  3. I was "fraped" a while back, and occasionally get Facebook posts appear from a (presumably fake) nacho novo page. Anyway, according to the (presumably fake) nacho novo Facebook page, he is in talks with Stuart McCall about joining us. Dont like him, but was a decent player. Hasn't really worked out for him in Spain, and I believe his wife/partner is Scottish, so realistic enough story.
  4. I see your point, but I think clubs are businesses when it suits. Only at football clubs would people put up with the poor product, and at times shocking facilities and conditions, yet still consistently pay top prices. If their was pish running down the stairs in the cinema, and there were only mediocre films, with mediocre actors, would people pay to go? It's not Motherwells fault or problem, it's football, particularly in Scotland (and England to an extent). There's so many reasons not to go, and only a handful that keep us going. I want to keep on going to Motherwell games, because I do enjoy it, often the game itself is pish, but I still enjoy things about it, and then there's the great moments you wouldn't want to miss! I do sometimes find myself questioning paying £20 to go and watch some of the less glamorous games, in bad weather when there's nothing at stake. So many issues, the sfa, spl, clubs need to think of the fans! There's definitely a case for summer football, prices should be lower, tv can't dictate scheduling....
  5. It's not that important. All I'm saying is, that's the most lIkely time I'd buy one. I'm not saying strips should be brought out for my holidays, but if possible when there's the biggest Market for them, which is probably summer (school holidays, t-shirt weather, festivals and holiday time.) I'm sure you knew what I meant though. I might still buy it anyway, if it's nice?
  6. Apart from at the games, or playing football, it's the only other time I'd wear it. A lot of people buy new clothes for going on holiday too, shorts and t-shirts in particular. Even just summer at home is a time when folk are more likely to wear a football shirt.
  7. Was talking about this the other day with my mate. He was talking about buying the new rangers shirt for going on holiday. Motherwell seem to miss a trick with this! Often bringing out shirts in august/September after everyone is back their holidays. I know this year the sponsor was only announced recently, but I'm not as likely to buy the shirt after my summer holiday, as before it. The old firm always seem to have them out early.
  8. I remember the 'well fans doing the bouncy at brockville in the early 90s, no idea when rangers started it though, and no idea if we'd being doing it before that?
  9. Thought mastorjvic could have got a straight red for the tackle. Not 100% sure the handball is a booking, depends on how the ref interprets it? Lasleys looked worse at the game than on tv, ki's tackle was identical IMO, both bookings. Browns booking wasn't even an attempt to get the ball, he just jumped, maybe a harsh booking? Craigan was a red card everyday of the week, but mastorjvic got away with it, so maybe he didn't see it? Maybe he shat it?
  10. Display was awesome! Big shout to everyone who made it happen!! Viva Motherwell!
  11. Aye, only seems to trouble me at night, just the odd cough and splutter during the day, then bark like a dug when I go to bed! I'll be fine, thanks though!
  12. Chest infection kept me up until 2 am, night nurse knocked me out for 4 hours, up now, here we go....
  13. A couple of guys came and stood in front of me and my dads seats at the semi, and it was a bit annoying, as we were already standing there! I moved to an empty seat in the row in front, as it was a bit claustrophobic.
  14. I thought more people would have followed my lead, I'm planning going on Thursday, luckily I get a midweek day off, suppose a lot might have only had Monday off. Based on the scare mongering on here, I might try to get up tomorrow? I'd guess we have around 3000 season ticket holders, taking 3 each on average, so on that basis most people must have been already??
  15. Was a bit too loud! I always lime the 10 second challenge, or a penalty shootout.
  16. As in there will be plenty left, so no need? Or as in none left, so no point?
  17. Fair point, he had a shocker! Thought he was good previously though. Saunders aerial threat at set pieces makes him a contender for rb in my opinion too!
  18. My Celtic supporter mate was asking where the fight was from the Motherwell team they showed in the Celtic game. Good point, and maybe the extra midfielder was the reason. Also the great start we got helped. My team would be. Randolph Hately Craigan Hutchison Hammell Humphrey Jennings Forbes Lasley Murphy Sutton Subs: hollis, gunning, Saunders, Jeffers, jones. Edited to add. Forgot about mo Ross, who could be another option at right back, and has experience and height on hately. Would be harsh to drop hately, but I don't think he's effective In midfield... Saunders aerial threat makes him difficult to rule out too. Forbes and hately are Both prone to not turn up at all, and Forbes lack of pace/fitness is a concern. 4-5-1 becoming 4-3-3 going forward is a must, personnel is a bit of a problem, I'm arguing with myself here!
  19. I'm just going for mine on Thursday when I'm off! Presumably there's enough tickets, that even if I was the last season ticket holder to turn up, and everyone else took 4, there would still be a few left?
  20. Sounds harsh in the extreme! 10 penaltys a game if thats being enforced consistently. Collum seems to be having a bit of a mare, most of the talking points since i tuned in have been poor decisions.
  21. See McDonald got 2 goals to make it 2-1 'boro. Ive got hull on my coupon.
  22. I'm sure there will be plenty of tickets, so absolutely no need to panic! I think season ticket holders should (and will) get a couple of days prior to the general sale. I can see the argument that they should only get 1 ticket, but how many folk go to the games themselves? Maybe 2-4 per season would be fine, and in the unlikely event that most of them took the 4, there will still be as many as 8000 left! Which is more than we have had at any game this season! There's no way they will let you choose your seat. Just pick a stand/category and how many tickets, as someone said, it will be very busy!! They might need to get a portakabin or something to allow them to serve more than 2 at a time, as the 1 doored ticket office, with 1 computer, won't work. Maybe get a slip you fill in with your details and fill in while you wait, to save on data inputting, and they can file it, or input it over the close season, as it will be torture if they look everyone up on the computer.

No, that's why Jennings could play the cup games. A straight red for violent conduct in the last game would mean a ban for the cup final.
  24. Or the side we sit In when we play Celtic is the rangers end, and when we play rangers is the Celtic end. I certainly have fonder memories of "the rangers end", 1991 semi and final, last Saturday, only loss was 2006 cis semi. I've seen us lose to rangers 3 times from the "Celtic end".
  25. It's a horrible thread because some people think an expensive jacket is an excuse to behave like a bell end.
