  1. Blighted by back injury, not many kids can boast Champions League experience given his fine performance in Athens. Better than Fraser Kerr will ever be...

    Well Bois

I'll wager there's a few in our support who dedicated the recent humiliation of the orcs to the rotund diving one... I know my old fella did.

    Hops from the nearby brewery?
  4. There's a Well Society thread all of its own... Back to discussing ins & outs. 2 Dutch lads definitely for development I hear. From a good
  5. Took the stance of not a penny more, would be interested to find if I'm in the minority of original members who have decided same. I too haven't been overly impressed by the way the Society has conducted affairs. The more you scrutinise the dealings with Mr Hutchinson, the dafter & more pie in the sky it becomes. For the life of me, how have those in control of several hundred thousand of other people's money agreed to it? Carried away on this wave of optimism brought by a billionaire tax exile who wants to give a hand up not a hand out... He has agreed timescales for his monies to be returned which in so far, We've missed the first repayment & it remains to be seen that we'll make the other required 2, thus voiding the agreement Were the repayments to be made in a timely fashion, where does the funding to run the club's affairs then come from? No plan B, unless we use the cash on Euromillions entries, bound to get lucky eh? The cynic? Society board cares about the usual suspects getting 15 minutes of fame if the scheme miraculously worked & not a lot else.
  6. Somehow I don't think all our business will be concluded today... Definitely 2 un-named Dutch free transfers arriving prior to the sHamilton Accies match. Ex-Nijmegen, they were on trial with us in the summer.
  7. The fella may be a lot of things, a midnight mass he certainly isn't... Seem to recall Officer Dibble in Dingwall took his shoes off him for evidence & forced him home on the bus in his stocking soles! Not how they treat their snitches
  8. The only teams to have dropped points against Kilmarnock have gone with one up top.
  9. Bold statement right enough...
  10. We got nowhere near £150,000 with the figure nearer half that. The club can have potentially made more in add on fees alone, but, it'scale an unknown among the rank and file what any clauses were. Source's brother is on the board at Brammal Lane.
  11. Eureka! To be paid back by the support. Dangerous.
  12. Let the hand wringing begin... And it's not the remit of the SFA either.
  13. Eh? Car share when they can number over 50 on a regular basis? Belter. My post was made in relation to how The Bois & those loosely attached arrange travel to the match 'on most occasions' in recent years. I'm well aware that train prices were inflated at the weekend... given the fixture release date - a music festival in the area meant increased passenger footfall & demand for saver 'type' tickets forcing prices up long before any of our support could check for potential purchase. Where it's viable, coaches are hired - at less cost to those aboard than those travelling by supporter association bookings & without being restricted to the association 'do's & don'ts. Letting the train take the strain? Again less restrictive in what people want to do & most probably adding to the matchday experience, it's been found to be cheaper & in many ways quicker to travel to than by coach given the links we enjoy. Where creativity is required, normally on trips further afield, other saver type tickets are sourced well in advance & again cheaper. If not? Next step on the hierarchy is followed...
  14. Behave yourself. Nearly half a stand available last time we played them on league cup duty at their current abode.
  15. Yeah, currently in a protective shoe. Expected to be 4 to 6 weeks out (already missed 2) having broke a bone in his foot in training the day after being told he would fill in for Ainsworth at right midfield for the first two matches I hear.
  16. You've answered your own question there... Other transport has become cheaper & more viable than travelling by coach on most occasions. Part of the beauty of The Bois awayday coaches (and their predecessors) is they don't have to conform to club instruction or strangled by the constitution of the supporters association which has been problematic in itself in recent seasons. Saturday just goes down to experience. Club subsidising that journey wouldn't have kept the coach roadworthy.
  17. Think most rank and file supporters agree on the requirement to protect the defence, but, I've seen nothing in 4 pre-season matches that suggest Lasley has the discipline to perform that role under Mr Baraclough's stewardship. 2nd goal from Preston on Friday night suggests same. Last season was a season too far methinks.
  18. Oh! it did... Spawned a Faddy versus Law thread too.
  19. Definitely merit in that ideal. My old fella has been waxing lyrical more or less word for word for months! Me? As much as I was an advocate of having him in the squad last season (wager we wouldn't have plummed the depths we did had we taken the chance) despite I and others being told there is no place for sentiment & Josh Law was a better prospect... I'm afraid his time at the top level has passed him by given his injury curse. Shame. Understanding his age, he'll feel he has something to offer at whatever level, I'd have him make his way in coaching at ours.
  20. I've no idea either. Have you seen him at any other games? Hackett is English gentry clothing.
  21. Took umbrage at how the club approached the previous offer & none too complimentary either so I'd rather as I suspect we'll leave well alone here.
  22. So, from incorrectly stating 'orange marching band' we get the facile comment? Usual whataboutery even for you that knows no bounds. As for his correctamundo comment... Deary me. Ignorant to the last.
