  1. Little known fact... Prior to the bear costumes, a lad I knew was in the tunnel about to lead the teams out in a mobile phone costume as we were sponsored by Motorola when the then club secretary called a halt to proceedings with his reasoning still a mystery.
  2. Just in... They've had 1 shot on target all day for all this mythical free flowing footy! We had Samson pull off 3 or 4 save in the first half and stung his hands from Forbes effort. He never got near the one that mattered - que the wild scenes from both players and fans which I don't think I've seen before. Ground it out as the good teams can, win 1 nil every week and we're champions Buleev!
  3. Free flowing football? 2 goals the sum of that? Chick Young w*nks dugs... 3rd place my arse. Up the 'Well, top of the league and we're having a laugh!
  4. Snapped achilles according to sky... Speedy recovery fella
  5. 4-2 win in glorious sunshine. Coasting at 1 up and game went a little flat letting United in at 1-2. Second half mostly 1 way traffic. McHugh and Smith with doubles. Ross McKinnon a particular highlight.
  6. It's how it's managed when not every other Saturday though Dee.
  7. No picture of John Boyle needed since his departure... The sovereign lady should remain.
  8. Quite. This was the same player who held a maroon scarf aloft when paraded in a Hearts shit emblazoned with 'Wonga' whilst still employed by our club... Who gave Stephen Pearson applause for a similar act? Now he's left, he's a c*nt like the rest of 'em. Money aside, I'd wager he'll rue the day he left us
  9. Very much inclined to go with this. This is where I think some of Mr McCalls' best work is currently being done at the moment... He's boxing clever by not shouting from the rooftops as we have media overload on St Midden as a 'footballing' entity of Falkirk proportions - they peddled that for long and weary and I don't think any in our support were fooled as to that particular myth either. Yes, they have signed a higher calibre of player than they are used to, at what cost? To sniff the gusset of the top six? Risky strategy? No better chance with poorer squads around them. Time will tell. Doubt many on this board would have any of their squad make our first eleven. 1 nil in our favour will do me Do that each week and the league is ours Buleev!
  10. This a new species of felidae? As for the kit, latest in anal design over what's hot and what's not as to what Motherwell kit is preferred. More stroking of the chin (or hand on the dummy knowing some on here) as to the merits of templete, traditional, bespoke and tailored finishes nae doubt.
  11. We'd have a right back problem if we signed that scruffy c*nt. That good he'd struggle to get a game for the miners!
  12. Deary me, you base the inane on what? A few pre-season kickabouts? He'll be fine come the business end of the season. I'd still have a striker on board to add some depth.
  13. Tossing pie munching Yorkshiremen off at half time nae doubt
  14. Obviously no physio. Inane. As for betting, you'd be as well lifting up the nearest manhole outside your abode and chucking yer money in... Crock. It really is that simple.
  15. Seriously considering cashing in on an Aberdeen relegation...
  16. Accept all they like... Be interesting to find out where the kid sees his footballing future and the impact it made on Chris Humphrey and his career
  17. Not quite understanding the choice of Celtic as champions by some. As poor as we are told they are, Rangers with likely investment will be stronger no? The pan-republican agenda will know doubt be trotted out from those at the San Giro. Can only see turmoil in the granite city, got the grave dancing shoes at the ready...
  18. Well, it's Fair weekend and the start of the traditional fair fortnight holidays...
  19. He and members of his family have been known to trade in high calibre greyhounds in the local area too...
  20. Realistic? It's a crock of shit. It would likely surprise you what club employees earn and have potential to earn in relation to other member clubs... We are where we are, salaries remain within a rigid structure (no reason to suggest otherwise, unless those with access to the accounts can differ) and it serves us well.
  21. Pursuit of a player doesn't mean 'in signing talks'... Appeasement of a disillusioned support methinks. Having spoke to him not so long ago, be surprised at a move to St Mirren.
  22. Was hoping Jennings would be our first 'in', well, before Messi seen the light. Looks like it'll be a new head groundsman
  23. Understanding of the 'in & outs' marathon elsewhere, with rapid grass growth everywhere, hence, the demise of our 'green grass of home' thread, thought this worthy of it's own... Probably* the best 'out' in the current closed season could be, if industry information is correct, Mr Wilson is now the ex-groundsman at Fir Park and destined for lush pastures (nae pun intended, lush and pastures are terms I'd use loosely as they never graced our hallowed turf for long) new. *and I take no enjoyment of those facing impending redundancy I've long been a champion of the need for a better playing surface (holding up other pitch conditions as some sort of virtue carries no favour with the league committee either). As the club strives for the unexpected, it's emphasis on a productive youth system, efforts to engage the community amongst their aims... how may their attempt to provide a season long platform to showcase talent aid Stuart McCall? Monies better utilised elsewhere in the club be-it playing or non-playing side We await with interest. They've got my vote.
