  1. 'Always Ultra' I heard, suits both the lads at the South end of the East Stand and those 'stuck-up c nts' who frequent. Will also help with the inevitable 'bad period' ahead...
  2. Club have been caught out by this before... Casting mind back to first season with 'main' problem - Current incumbent took the decision to sprinkle the rubber crumb (destined for the pitch out the back no doubt) associated with artificial turf directly on to the exposed mud which was deemed the 'deep end' in front of the East Stand. Ball bounced that well, the pitch was closed for the month whilst this section was replaced.
  3. Hopefully not just added atop the existing surface Decent approach, reactive instead of proactive and at what cost? I await the findings with interest.
  4. £5k? That for one leg? The porridge dribbler is off his nut if he thinks he'll secure him for that.
  5. Well, they would be fibbing
  6. Just a... bump, for those who may not have seen this.
  7. Another telling contribution... STEP BACK FROM THE THREAD
  8. Well, here then. Your wish is my command. Cheers, another retort as witty as yours have been, will get this thread back where I want people to see it. This board? I can pick 'em.
  9. Well for that effort, Have a...
  10. Deary me, over 100 views you pervy lot... What's it to be? A big fat hairy pussy? Or a bald fanny? Or for those who like back bums instead of front bums, a wee prick?
  11. Now that I have you're attention Probably should have advertised this before now... We at the Motherwell Fans Club (that's ex-Well Trust AFC to those in the know) have been invited to play FC Braes 04, one of the Falkirk supporters teams attached to our league in a Charity Shield match at Falkirk Stadium tomorrow evening. Seem to like how we go about our business, so a little bit of kudos to the hard work that's been put in by all those associated with our club. Now, treating this as a professional matchday experience, the squad will benefit from the facilities, stadium announcer et all. I'm sure nobody will grudge the management having a bit of a beano too. Well, I realised I was never going to make it professionally (many moons ago in reality) and took the managerial reigns. So for tomorrow, I fancied going dressed as Steven Pressley, complete with sticky-on beard, grey trews and brown slip-ons (all the rage up there, but, went out with Nelson's eye) but, I don't expect the locals will see the funny side. Suited and booted, plumped for the 'Mancini' look complete with claret and amber bar scarf. Open to suggestions mind, but, think I'll carry that off. Scheduled to kick-off at 7.30pm, it'll be nearer 8pm methinks. For any 'Well fans in the local area or for anybody who fancies, we'd be glad of the support and a local charity likely to benefit from a small donation. Be good to put faces to the names also...
  12. Another. Dreadful winter? Not only at Fir Park... Snow had lay for approximately a week prior to our St Johnstone fixture, cleared, the pitch looked and played well. Postponement of the Hamilton match meant the pitch was to be rested for the next month. Snow had thawed by the middle of the month, shouldn't have provided a problem in itself because it had been cleared, but... a series of errors and problems well documented later, point to poor ground maintenance. 2 years to properly bind and knit together? Again, pains me to say it, our nearest and dearest in South Lanarkshire constructed a pitch in similar timescale to ourselves post removal of their field turf and tarmacadam formations. Barring shortening of the width due to a undersoil heating malfunction and a little 'help' from the local authority in postponing fixtures this year have a pitch comparable with the best in the league at Ipox and the San Giro. On a much smaller budget too. But, we had a dreadful winter... The head groundsman is hopeful. See you all in the Green Green Grass of Home Thread 2010/2011!
  13. Head groundsman Ian Wilson... Be as well dropping the £100k down the nearest manhole.
  14. You would like to think so... The launch of the Motherwell FC PUMA 2010/2011 Home and Away Kit sees the club join the portfolio of PUMA contracted clubs including; Newcastle United, Burnley, Sheffield Wednesday, Cardiff City, Reading, Bristol City, Coventry City, Hibernian, Bath Rugby Union and England Rugby League.
  15. Unless that particular cross border loophole has changed... Chris Porter moved northwards with no fee involved, saying that, we received a token fee when Ross McCormack moved to Cadiff or was that a 'Risdale' move more than a 'Bosman'?
  16. It's 'the better fan than you syndrome' so prevalent of the board sycophants I questioned. Mock Outrage. Again. Would disagree on validity of point, the thread opened as 'Never Been So Proud' or is it me who's missing something? Don't use my club as the vehicle you think it is for bigotry - defined as 'the intolerance and prejudice'. 'thick-fuck-short-comings' - your retort not make you the bigot then? Continually back up who? 'you dont know who you are messing with' type of crap... Eh? Maybe you could quote and back your spurious claim? Thought not. As experienced, the aforementioned are battering their keyboards with the hand on the dummy in report of those who may follow a little risque/churlish/downright illegal* path of support. Much as you would like to think, doesn't mean any less fervour in their support for our club. A succesful campaign of 'shouting down' has gone before, if the sycophants feel that strongly, why not at the time? As for your closing words, you obviously know of me to use personal insult to suit your conclusion on more than one occassion. At least you had a go at me and not the family... Says more about you than it does of me, feel free to drop in your name. *delete as you wish
  17. Neither am I thick, a ned, orange, be it member of one of the loyal orders and/or addicted to fake sun rays or a c*nt as you allude to. Second time you've made personal slate at myself, something I hope the fine administration will have dealt with... Why not send a pm? Could even reveal who you are, maybe even have a word in my shell-like? Not the point I was trying to make and I suspect you know that... Nearly 2 days post-match and another holier-than-thou assessment of a section of our support. Hence, knickers in a twist and the look of outrage. Again. It's early yet, not many have sided with your outlook. Again, another attempt by a board member to ingratiate him/herself with the mile-outs, wankjobs and bullied at school who frequent shows sign of epic failure. GSTQ
  18. Deary me... maybe if you left our stash of plant food alone. Check. Done to death some weeks ago...
  19. Not wanting to piss on your parade... An industry insider I've spoken to would like to know where in Scotland has 4th generation type been installed? Facilities under construction at the moment don't feature this either Level of existing infrastructure doesn't allow for it. It has to be constructed on flat formation.
  20. Here we go again... So why don't you...
  21. Well don't think... The gradient from all points to the North West corner of our ground would rule installation out. Imagine, untrue bounce as it is, without untrue bounce due to factors increased by the slope of the pitch.
  22. After seeing the poorly maintained pitch on last night's news programmes... Same for both teams, but, I've felt it's played poorly with recent games being worst than the next. Hope it doesn't effect a negative outcome.
  23. Well, the tower currently forming part of the college development was to be exactly that... like the car parking facilities, a design error methinks.
