it won't matter a great deal who we have in goals if we defend like we did last season,the defence as a whole needs to seriously up there game and not leave it to the goalkeeper to carry the can.im not a fan of twardzik but he was made the scapegoat last season which was pretty poor considering there were guys in the team that were making umpteen howlers throughout the season.

hopefully we see a lot more of watt this season,i don't see any reason why he can't force his way into the team and become our first choice right back.

the goalkeeping position was a big problem for us last season and if samson signs barraclough has done nothing to address the situation,all we would have succeeded in doing would be adding another piss poor goalkeeper onto the payroll.

i hope that's not true the thought of having twardzik and samson as our goalkeeping options for next season give's me the fear big time.

i agree weeyin we do need a creative spark rather than a defensive midfielder,for as much as i like pearson and lasley there were quite a few games last season when we were crying out for something different in the middle of the park,we can't always expect our wide players to be the ones to be the provider's

im delighted ainsworth is staying as i thought his performance's in the play off games would have been enough to get him a move elsewhere.he is frustrating as fuck at times but when he's on his game he's definately a big player for us,20 goals and 20 assists since he's been here is a great return and hopefully there's a lot more too come.

totally agree with that not only did barraclough get his tactics spot on over both games he said all the right things too,if that had been mccall he would have sounded like a beaten man before a ball had been kicked.

erwin contributed more to the team than just goals last season his assist and winning a penalty in the play off games are some of the examples,it's just nonsense to base his contributions on only scoring 5 goals.onto big sutton i wish him nothing but good luck for the rest of his career he was a great servant for us and a top bloke the couple of times i met him.

i wouldn't be surprised if we only offered sutton a 1 year deal and st johnstone offered him a longer one,that might have been a big factor in him leaving.

totally agree with that i doubt we would have seen much of erwin this season had mccall remained in charge,we've been unlucky that erwin hit form just as his contract was coming to an end but the fact that the likes of mchugh got a new deal and nothing came erwin's way was yet another balls up by mccall.

disappointed erwin is away as i was hoping we could have got another season out him and then sold him for good money next summer,i wish him nothing but the best as he definately played his part in keeping us up.

we will be operating with a smaller squad next season compared to now so hopefully its quality over quantity were looking for,if we can unearth 1 or 2 gems like marvin johnson we'll be onto a winner.
