i'd go with a midfield 3 for this (that doesn't include skippy) as we still seem to be getting outnumbered in the middle of the park in these types of games and have skippy up front.st johnstone aren't the quickest of teams so if ainsworth and johnson are at it then they could do them some damage.we badly need to get something from this game as a fourth straight defeat even this early would be slightly worrying,

it won't matter a great deal who we have in goals if we defend like we did last season,the defence as a whole needs to seriously up there game and not leave it to the goalkeeper to carry the can.im not a fan of twardzik but he was made the scapegoat last season which was pretty poor considering there were guys in the team that were making umpteen howlers throughout the season.

hopefully we see a lot more of watt this season,i don't see any reason why he can't force his way into the team and become our first choice right back.

the goalkeeping position was a big problem for us last season and if samson signs barraclough has done nothing to address the situation,all we would have succeeded in doing would be adding another piss poor goalkeeper onto the payroll.

i hope that's not true the thought of having twardzik and samson as our goalkeeping options for next season give's me the fear big time.

i agree weeyin we do need a creative spark rather than a defensive midfielder,for as much as i like pearson and lasley there were quite a few games last season when we were crying out for something different in the middle of the park,we can't always expect our wide players to be the ones to be the provider's

im delighted ainsworth is staying as i thought his performance's in the play off games would have been enough to get him a move elsewhere.he is frustrating as fuck at times but when he's on his game he's definately a big player for us,20 goals and 20 assists since he's been here is a great return and hopefully there's a lot more too come.
