SPFL stats site says Cup winners qualify for Europa League and runners up would qualify if champions league qualifier also wins the cup. To me that would suggest we could lose the final but still qualify if Celtic do the league & cup double.

at half time I said it was the first game this season when I hadn't had a rant at the ref. second half back to the usual. haven't seen their penalty yet but all the pundits I've heard said it was a bit "dubious" (even Michael I hate Well Stewart) What happened to the new rule that if there is contact in the box and the forward goes down it's a penalty ???? Club issuing the statement last night probably has something to do with Cedric leaving the country to join up with the Ivory Coast team for their games. Great news about the red card being rescinded but that means Thomson was wrong and we had to play for more than half a game with 10 men because of his incompetence/bias. Where is the justice in that ?? If Celtic had scored in the second half we would have been robbed of a point with no means of a comeback. Something needs to done about the standard of refereeing in Scotland and that means all of them going by the displays I have seen in games involving Motherwell this season.

If we get to the final and its Celtic and Thompson then Robinson should do a Brenda and remind everybody of his history against us this season at every opportunity in the run up to the game. Put pressure on him from the word go to make sure he is not going to give any debatable decisions. I don't honestly think they will give him the game if it is us V Celtic even if it his last game before retiring COYW

Blessed Brenda , tactical genius with multi million pound talent at his disposal can't beat 10 men even with the help of the match officials but had a swipe at the Rainjurs last week for not beating them. Honesty and integrity don't make me laugh. Couldn't admit it was never a sending off even said he thought it was a free kick to Celtic. Fracas in tunnel at HT he didn't see or hear anything. Senior Plod said the reason for the searches was that there had been " a wee bit of bother at the train station". The guy who was complaining at the time was also told he wouldn't be searched as it was only the young team who were being frisked. Still doesn't excuse the shambles that happen s every time we go to Hamilton. Something needs to be done about it.

Regarding the disallowed Cadden goal. While Dallas may be technically correct in his interpretation of the law if he had given that decision against either of the gruesome twosome he would have banished to the amateur ranks never to be seen again.

Lafferty had 5 fouls given against him by half time and still didn`t get a booking. Naismith raises his hands to ? Campbell and only gets a booking. Kipre gave away a silly penalty but Dallas had given it before Naismith had even hit the grass. I know folk have said we can`t always moan about referees but can anybody on here honestly remember any game this season when we could leave Fir Park and say the ref had a good game. Watched Sportscene highlights and both pundits said Hearts deserved at least a draw !!!!! In the game I was watching Well bossed the first half and Hearts had a good 25 minutes after half time then we battled back into the game and thoroughly deserved to go into the semi draw. Bring it on. Hampden here we come (again)

(H) Hibs (a) Patrick (h) Dundee (a) Aberdeen (h) Is there more chance of getting above Hearts ?? Will be very difficult either way in my opinion

Thought the first half was one of the better ones this season. Really enjoyed it despite going in losing. Second half we had all the pressure but never really troubled the Killie defence. Thing that annoys me is that for three games in a row we have had teams who have no intention of playing football but seem intent on wasting time and looking for free kicks. As already said Malumbos contribution yesterday was to pick up the ball at every free kick and walk away with it. What is the point of booking a keeper in the 93rd minute for time wasting ??? He should be booked after 50 minutes and that would be the end of it. .

I have to disagree Weeyin. I hate nothing more than hanging on for the final whistle to get over the line. It much prefer to be still in the game after 60 minutes and then pushing for a result. Obviously we need to be at least level at that point.LOL
