  1. Agree with above sentiments entirely. Not only does he deserve credit for what he has done in his management position but he also should be remembered for being the person who basically kept this site going over a period of time. The one thing that can never be disputed is that Flow is first and foremost a real Well fan.
  2. Now been confirmed that Hearts were also done earlier this year on BBC news.
  3. didn't start playing till 2-0 down then they had a go and began to give them problems. Cadden scores then they immediately lose another goal to end it as a contest.
  4. for the first time this season didn't leave the game moaning about the referee. Didn't get every decision right but was a big improvement on what we've had so far.
  5. difficult decision today as everybody worked their socks off again. Campbell didn't seem so prominent today but think he was doing the job Rose usually does which often goes unnoticed. Tait was everywhere. Kipre was Kipre. Went for Hartley. He was superb at the back and also popped up at the other end to nick a goal. What a find he has been. Ben who ????
  6. neil lennon stick on for manager of the month for taking a point of the invincibles at the midden
  7. ffs we win 3-0; totally dominate the game; keep a clean sheet and some are still complaining. just enjoy what we are seeing just now. COYW
  8. Bit of thinking outside the box here. Teams are now aware of our " physical and robust style of play " to quote various " journalists " and our quick ball up to our two front players so why not try something different. Everybody seems to agree that our captain hasn't had the best of starts to the season so why not give him a wee rest. How's about going 3_4_3 with Carson Kipre. Hartley. Dunne Cadden. Campbell. Bigirimana Grimshaw Mount. Bowman. Petravicius I know folk will say we need to match up with the opposition ETC but why not try something different and let Thistle worry about our set_up. Campbell and Grimshaw will fight for everything in midfield and the pace of Sid up top might just really surprise them. If it ain't working we could change it from what would be a pretty strong bench. I don't expect to see anything like this happening only putting it out for discussion COYW.
  9. Agree entirely with Fairhill and as 2/6 to get in says lots of young kids of that era were privileged to watch a brilliant football team but were not allowed by their parents to go to games involving the gruesome twosome because of the support that followed them. Some things never change. COYW.
  10. Difficult to choose between Campbell and Hartley who both had good games. Eventually went for Campbell for his 110% effort which he gives every game.
  11. Welcome to steelmenonline hmlarsson. keep posting.
  12. Is there not an amnesty thing in place so players don't miss the final ?????
  13. he is lightning quick but having seen him with the 20's I don't think he is ready yet to step up to the first team. He is one for the future in my opinion.
  14. Flow always gets the flack on here. It's about time he was given credit for what he and the backroom staff have achieved over the last couple of years.
  15. I've said it on here before but that team would wipe the floor with most of the "superstars" of today. Best team I've ever seen wearing Claret & Amber.
  16. watching the highlights I think Grimshaw is booked for cuddling the well fans in the Hunter stand after the 3rd goal.
  17. Everybody on the park tonight was the man of the match without a doubt so I am going for Lasley as it's his birthday.
  18. Connor Ripley on Sky sports for Burton against Man Utd at Old Trafford . 1_0 down after 4 minutes.
  19. just watched the highlights. they have managed to edit out Fisher's miss in the second half.
  20. Both. He is fast but looks to need match practice. Best player on the park was the Thistle No 10. Watch out for Fishers miss in the second half for his hat trick. Ball cut back to him in the 6 yard box in front of an open goal and he puts it past
  21. OK what is the line up for tonight? Might make my mind up about going.
  22. big improvement in attitude and physicality from last season. Don't think any team will boss us physically this season. Full marks to SR again for changing it early when players are having an off day. To the muppets who were sitting behind me in the Hunter stand today ---- if you are only going to slag off everybody and not support the team then get to f**k and don't come back. They were discussing Campbell's performance and came up with " he's no bad in the tackle but wastes a lot of passes"
  23. Campbell by a mile with good contributions from Kipre, Bowman, Hartley and Carson
