  1. Well as my son has pointed out to me,

    v ICT 3-2 win

    v Rangers 0-0 draw

    v Hearts 1-0 win

    v Hamilton 2-2 draw

    v Sheep 1-1 draw

9 points from 15  so not too bad this season but I heartily agree that we have been garbage in past seasons at this , more often than not losing to 10 men :)

The inverness game was 1-1 after 90 minutes so would only really count as 1 point rather than 3. So that's only 7 points from 5 games.

  2. For me he's really similar to Chris Humphrey. They both have the pace, athleticism and ability to be the best player on the park but on an off day they can easily be the worst player on the park.

They're both worth their place in the squad but they need to be more consistant to be worth a starting place every week.

  3. Was he? Must've been a fast helicopter he was on because I remember him at Fir Park last Wednesday planning for the Accies game.

I don't know if he was on the team bus - I was already at the ground and in the Press Box before they arrived. But. given he lives only a few minutes away from New Douglas Park, it's logical to think he just nipped over the road to the ground as opposed to going to Motherwell then back to Hamilton?

Not speaking to the press had nothing whatsoever to do with any rumours (and that's all they were/are)....

Some people need to chill and stop looking for things that ain't there...

Is there any significance in the fact that this has come out after Brighton unveiled their new manager? I also note that the first sentence is worded in a way which doesn't actually deny the fact that Gannon was at Brighton for an interview.

  4. tbf the Charlton Manager was a little harsh comparing him to Christian Dailly. I don't think there is a more professional player in the game. Probably still fitter than most premiership players - just like he was in his last season with The Hammers.

Christian Dailly wasn't very professional when he was shouting the odds at the Germans while his manger was being interviewed a few yards away. I'm not saying I didn't love it but I wouldn't class it as being particularly professional.

  5. Actually your post was about the large amount of mistakes that Fraser made that have not led to goals... that's not a bad thing in a keeper. If a keeper makes a mistake and it doesn't lead to goals, then it's naw a bad keeper to have...

Surely you can't be serious? It's not a bad thing when a keeper drops crosses when completely unchallenged or needlessly gives corners away by fumbling the ball, all against lower class opposition?

Are you sure you don't just quite like the look of Fraser in his pink strip as I can't see any other reason why anybody would rate him given his performances for us?

  6. Mistakes by Fraser you mean unlike Ruddy, who has never made a mistake except a fair few at St Johnstone (probably the same that Fraser has done in all his appearances) and against Hibs? :whistling:

Did anybody ever say that Ruddy hadn't made any mistakes? The post was about Fraser not being up to being the number 1 but if you think otherwise you obviously know something Jim Gannon doesn't.

  7. Having never really noticed him at Inverness Caley I had a totally open mind when we signed him. I can only judge him on what he's done for us so far and due to some dodgy moments against Llanelli and Flamurtari I think he needs to improve a fair bit before I'd be comfortable with him as a number 1. Seems that Jim Gannon feels the same since signing a keeper quickly became one of his top priorities and that keeper is now first choice.

  8. Yes, I've seen all of Frasers games. And you're right again, he was not at fault for any of the goals he let in and I can't say Ruddy would have kept any of them out. So what's he done wrong? Apart from not be at fault for any goals I mean

Your original post said that he'd done nothing wrong in a well top. Do you think he's supposed to drop the ball when trying to catch a cross while under no pressure from the opposition?

It's a moot point as to whether Ruddy would have kept any of them out but if you've actually watched any of the games you've been at you'll have seen plenty of mistakes from Fraser. Mistakes don't necessarily cost goals you know.

  9. Fraser's done nothing wrong in a 'Well top.

Have you actually been to any games he has played in? He has had plenty of mistakes in the games I've been at. He hasn't been 100% to blame for any goals conceded but he hasn't inspired much confidence either.

  10. Dundee United have always been inconsistent under Levein and dropped points unexpectedly. They're always tipped for big things but never quite manage it. We're unbeaten in the SPL under Jim Gannon, looking solid and playing good football so I expect to get at least a draw tomorrow.

Dods, Wilkie and Kenneth will struggle to cope with our counter-attacks.

  11. He might not be 100% happy at the moment but for what it's worth I think he may well be here till January at least

Coming from dossertillidie that's good enough for me. Glad to see Stevie's not going anywhere.

  12. I'm sure some of the morons from this board will be only too happy to go on air and give some of the arguments they've posted on here to justify it. Otherwise they'd just look like daft wee boys hiding behind their keyboard and username.

  13. In all honesty i would be completely indifferent towards it. I'm not a paedophile and ridiculous chants like that wouldnt affect me. I'm not too sure what your first comment is about either, because i have a history of mental health issues i'm likely to be upset by daft chants at a fitba match?

I'm inclined to agree with Don Goodman on this one, while it might not be entirely appropriate or funny to everyone, its certainly no worse than alot of the chants at the fitba and has been blown way out of proportion.

Surely there is a reasonable chance that someone with a history of mental health issues would be affected by vile and untrue chants at a fitba match if they were directed solely at them in a public arena?

It may not be any worse than some other chants but at least some of the others have a bit of truth to them. He's fat, he's a shovelpuss, he's a whore, he'll never be at Celtic, Scott Leitch is his bitch.......

  14. I attempted to kill myself when i was 18. Hilarious eh?

I love steelmen online, great threads.

And you're the type of person who wouldn't mind a large number of people chanting paedophile at you in a public place?

Chanting things that could have a detrimental effect on peoples state of mind. Hilarious eh?

You've obviously been through some dark times and I don't imagine that sort of thing would have helped much.

Glad to see you've matured so much since you were 18.

  15. Fucking right!

I don't care how tasteless it is, as long as it got right up that c**t's nose, then it's fine by me!

Edit - I love the fact that because I'm not fucking beside myself and it won't ruin my night and I won't sit about thinking about it all that I'm not a decent 'Well fan

You don't strike me as a decent person never mind a decent well fan. I thought you may have been fishing but having checked out some of your other posts I've come to the conclusion that you really are a total twat.

  16. There's a patch at the corner betweem the DC and the Phil O'Donnell which doesn't look too clever. A killie player also took a major chunk out of the pitch at touchline which made it look like it's not totally knitted.

I was under the impression that the grass was grown from seed so that knitting wasn't an issue.

  17. Good performance from the boys tonight and a lot to look forward to for the coming season. We made a lot of decent chances and forced their keeper into some great saves despite the referee so we've got a lot to be proud of.

I really couldn't believe some of the decisions from the ref and also the camp linesman in front of the main stand. Every 50/50 went to Steau as well as some other baffling decisions. How many times did Sutton almost get his top ripped off inside and outside the box before getting a foul? How come when a Steau player intentionally handles the ball (whether it's to shield his face is neither here nor there) in the box it isn't a penalty? How come Steau get a penalty for a guy cutting across O'Brien and getting tripped but when the exact same thing happens to Hammell at their 3rd goal right in the referees line of vision and in front of the linesman it's play on? Why is it not a penalty when Jamie Murphy gets pulled back when trying to get on the end of a cross? It's not as if he was in a ruck of players as him and the defender were a few yards from anyone else and it was as clear as day. And that's just the major decisions that I had a fairly decent view of. There were a few others that seemed top raise temperatures among the 'Well fans the I couldn't call due to my seat position.
