Just had a look at the Livingston fc website - they split their prices into three categories - it's 30 pounds for a Livi fan to watch Celtic or Rangers. 28 for Hearts Hibs and Aberdeen. 26 for the rest with concessions and other prices dropping as well depending on who they are playing. I actually think that's quite an interesting way to do it - and there's maybe scope for us to do something similar going forward. We put our prices up this season after a couple of years of freezes so obviously fans who pay at the gate are taking a bigger hit and as has already been said - obviously for some fans they'll just make the decision to watch the game on tv rather than pay 34 quid at the gate. The club said they had to put prices up this season because of a 20 per cent rise in match day costs It's the fan who wants to pay as they go that takes the biggest hit -I certainly wouldn't be able to go if I didn't have a season ticket.

I don't go to Celtic or Rangers games at Fir Park - I always make sure someone gets my season through. I've actually sat watching the game in the pub before when someone has had my season to watch the game - last Motherwell Celtic game I saw at Fir Park was probably skippy Sunday. (apart from the ones I stewarded at). It is a lot to shell out for folk who don't have a season ticket

We are charging our fans the same apart from the Hunter stand as far as I'm aware.
-
Thanks for the clarification.
-
You may be right so I absolutely will look at that - but that isn't what comes up when you do a search online.- it just says we were due the money because he came through the ranks at Motherwell and was under 23 I'll have a look tomorrow - thanks for that info. Appreciated
-
I thought we got compensation for Johnson because of his age - not because he turned down a new contract. Because he was under 23 we were due a fee under training development A quick Google search will confirm that's why we got compensation for Max Nothing to do with him being offered a contract and turning it down

Do your band play only their own songs - do they do Muse covers - asking for a friend
-
Why would you support a team out of defiance. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan of Rangers but if Motherwell had been in the same position pretty sure Motherwell fans would have kept supporting the team. Fans aren't to blame for the arse the club made of things
-
This is just a question but how do you know Johnsons plan was to leave us as soon as he could? I get the fact that Miller got more first team games than Johnson but maybe if Johnson had been started more regularly with Motherwell he might have stayed longer?
-
Not sure but I know that Alexander got flak for sending him out on loan when he did
-
Think the issue was that we didn't have him tied to a longer contract with us
-
Exactly this.
-
I really hope it's done soon for Lennons sake as well as Motherwells.

Sign will be up by the official opening. Well society posted on Facebook to confirm this
-
I actually thought I had gone to the wrong place - I hadn't but it was full by 6pm, the gates were closed when I turned up and there were also apparently issues with stock as well. I wasn't turned away, I didn't ask to get in but some people were turned away - it was very busy by the sounds of it. The well society said they are going to try and rectify things by the official opening date
-
No. Looked for it. Couldn't find it - not well signposted. Gave up and went to the Cooper bar - apparently the turnout was decent though
-
Indeed - he must go. He's scored two in two games - sell him
-
Club 100 was completely packed tonight over 500 fans inside and the Cooper was really busy. No away fans in the Cooper - they maybe didn't know they could have got in. I couldn't get in club 100 so went to the Cooper
-
Connelly probably played in the B game earlier. I agree. I think Ward has done OK so far though
-
1-0 HBC
-
Some players played against the HBC B team today

As long as its not lifted by 8 and in the cells till Monday sounds like a good night out.

Let's leave this exchange here eh. We have different views and that's completely fine BTW. I completely respect your opinion even though I don't agree with it

So who plays up front when we play Rangers first game of the season if we sell Stam - just also going to point out that I'm not the only person on here who has said the same I personally don't care what the Miller money is going to be used for. Having no striker ten days before the start of a season would be absolute madness in my view
-
His last injury was from getting a ball hit off his arm in training and it broke it - the Stam is made of chocolate really needs to be re evaluated in my view. Of course it's speculation that an Italian club might sign Miller but most people think he's going to go in the next couple of weeks - and if that's the case - we don't need to sell Stam I like Maswanhise but I wouldn't count on him to score a certain amount of goals -for a few reasons. Anyway. It's up to Motherwell and JBA. Not a minion like me The first game is a week on Saturday. I would be amazed if we had a striker signed prior to then
