I also responded later to say that I wasn't expecting miracles - btw the person who posted that initial comment is a die hard Motherwell fan who was at the game today and was probably feeling a bit frustrated - surely that's allowed? I personally think if we did play crap - a manager should have the right to express it. I don't think it's necessarily throwing players under the bus - lots of fans who were at the game thought we were rotten today. I would personally rather a manager came out and said that than glossed over it.
