Thought it was a penalty at the time but you’re correct. It was a powderpuff attempt at winning a penalty from a powderpuff midfielder imo
-
I assume you watched him as he acted as a spectator of Celtic players moving into our penalty box on a consistent basis?

——————-Gillespie Grimshaw——-Hartley—-Gallagher——Carroll ————————-Donnelly ————Campbell———-Polworth —Seedorf————Cole————-Long Question marks on The right back slot and for me, if we had a replacement, there would be A question mark Over Polworth after a completely inept performance at Celtic Park.

Agreed on Craigan. Had an excellent record with thee youth team, conducts himself very well in the media and knows the club. Wouldn't be adversed to Lasley however would ideally like him to stay as number 2 for the time being.

Laughably, this was also on my mind. I think it’s fair to assume that we will be pushing top six this season, barring some huge meltdown. Budget wise, it would appear that we should be able to improve the squad based on that and with the mumblings that Sloth will see the door in Jan., it may be the case that we’ve got a relatively chunky amount of budget to work with. We haven’t yet heard about Turnbull returning but now that the debt is paid off, we surely won’t be in a rush to sell in Jan. Either. Has the makings of a very good season however it’s Motherwell so you never know

Campbell has been woeful

This reeks of the Hearts game last season where Carson went off and we lost a nothing game

Gazzy B makes a great point

We’ve got a chance to open up a 7 point gap on Aberdeen and county, with the later playing at Celtic park. Live and Killie are also playing each other and a draw in that would see us sitting with a healthy gap over the pack. We could be cruising in 3rd and only 2 points behind the old firm after almost the entire first round of fixtures. In light of this.... 2-0 to Aberdeen.
-
HOTD for this pish. We haven’t even played a full round of fixtures yet our own fans are now jumping on the “who can we link with rangers or Celtic before we play them next?” Chat. Too much Daily Rangers or Sun readership for some on here if that’s the level we’re sinking to. How about asking how can we build to a decent squad? what do we need to strengthen? Who can we develop until the end of the season with perhaps allowing the club to make their money whilst allowing paying supporters to have a decent seasons football to watch in the meantime?

Robinson’s record is patchy IMO. Granted, the season has started well however we’ve also played, previously, some of the worst and most brutal football I’ve ever seen in a Motherwell jersey under him. I’m not saying he’s a bad manager at all, just that the hype train shouldn’t be so huge and that I still wouldn’t be despondent if he were to leave.
-
The quality of refereeing was fucking woeful. One of the worst displays I’ve ever seen
-
This is brutal. Same shite as last week. 1-0 up. Inviting pressure and incapable of holding the ball
-
Good penalty save but the decision was a complete joke. justice done
-
Casper sloth will never play for Motherwell.
-
I take it all back.
-
He looks like a striker incapable of scoring

Miss of the fucking Century

As mentioned earlier, No. 9 is a problem for sure. I think a mixture of Long and Cole would be a good player but individually, they both lack a lot. Cole works hard but isn't good in front of goal. Long has also missed some sitters, particularly against Hibs however I also have some significant doubts on his attitude. For me, he looks like he can't be arsed half of the time.

————Gillespie Grimshaw——Hartley——Gallagher—-Tait ————————-Donnelly Seedorf——-Campbell—-Polworth—-Scott —————————Cole keep it simple. No need for dramatic changes however we do tend to struggle in Perth. 2-1 well

Blatant foul on Gallagher. Shocking decision
-
Not designed at having a go at Polworth. In my opinion however, we are too lightweight in the middle of the park, especially for playing hearts at Tynecastle, with Campbell, Polworth and Donnelly as a middle 3

————Gillespie Grimshaw—-Hartley—-Gallagher—-Carroll —————-Donnelly Scott——-Campbell——O’Hara——Seedorf ————————Cole Subs: Carson Dunne Tait Maguire Polworth Hylton Long Would like to see O’Hara come in, in the centre of the park in order to give us a little more physicality. For me, Long isn’t showing enough as a lone striker and Cole showed real promise at the end of the Hibs game. Two changes and 2-1 to the Well

It will be interesting to see the squad for the Hearts game as I’d imagine that it’ll be the one targeted as the strongest possible squad, with all fit, except Turnbull. Given that Mazinga and Sloth have both had reserve games and two further weeks of training prior, I’d imagine that whilst we won’t see wholesale changes from Saturday, we will likely see some changes to match hearts physicality. With O’Hara’s introduction, I’d imagine that Sloth’s omission from the Hearts squad would be a signal that his overall game time with us will be insignificant at best.

Very strange game. Defensively, we were strong and Hartley was instrumental in marshaling others around him. In midfield, Hibs controlled much of the ball but never really created that many chances. Donnelly was better today and Campbell played well. Polworth is very good on the ball and played some nice passes, but he can’t tackle and gets caught on the wrong side. Scott also performed well. Very strong with the ball at his feet, could compete a little better in the air, but that will come. Seedorf, goal apart, I’m sorry to say, was a man short. Without the ball, he doesn’t compete well or cover and with the ball, he’s not quite sure what to do with it at times. In my opinion, he’s also too lightweight. Long, should have scored 3. Again, with this one, I’m not convinced. Not so much by ability, as by attitude. Jury is still out for me... overall, a good win. Should've scored more however.
