  1. Touche, mate. Tamy, he's as tight as two coats of paint and hangs his teabags on the washing line to dry. But as he's buying, I'll join yeez
  2. Respect is due, Tamy. Just make sure one of the tight gits on this forum buys you a drink two by way of appreciation of your effort. The Scots tend to have short arms and long pockets, but you must insist
  3. Cheeky sod, SD. Actually, I don't think he had to touch the ball - didn't hear his name mentioned in commentary - but that clean sheet can only help his confidence. Terrific result.
  4. Yes, we should try to co-ordinate the game we catch. My German is terrible but my Scottish is even worse . Each time I try to make it to Fir Park something goes wrong, but my luck has to change soon. Bavaria to Scotland is one hell of a journey for a football match
  5. Mimicking the Pope isn't a good idea in Scotland's central belt, even if he is German. Perhaps I'll bump into you Tamy, following a couple of failed attempts this season.
  6. You're starting to sound like a Motherwell girl, Tamy
  7. Hearts sound terrible. Close to three there.
  8. It's a good crowd, considering their position. I suppose they sell a lot of season tickets and many in the stadium would have been hoping for much more last August.
  9. Got home like a bat out of hell. What's the score?
  10. I'm hoping to catch the second half on radio. 1-1 is my hunch.
  11. Why are you on the Hearts official site, Ricky? I don't like the sound of this
  12. In these difficult economic times it would be good for all clubs to offer installment payments, particularly for those taking the family along. I know some SPL clubs, Hibs for example, do it. Actually, it would be nice down here too. I'm not looking forward to justifying to the wife the £750 that will be taken from our account in July. It gets harder each year.
  13. A point would be good at Tynecastle: anything that ends the losing streak. The team will need to scrap for everything; it's been highlighted how physical Hearts are, so it will be an even bigger test of character.
  14. How about a miniature Allianz Arena of Bayern Munich, so that the stadium lights up claret and amber during the match?
  15. Goalkeeper ( probably along with striker ) is the position where confidence comes into play most of all, and a keeper suffering a loss of confidence can find himself in a very lonely place. There's nowhere to hide out there when you drop a clanger. Fraser didn't look like a keeper with any confidence on Sunday, but I hope recovers it, because when Ruddy leaves won't he be first choice?
  16. From the telly, I thought Saunders and Hateley were impressive.
  17. No, he had a really poor game, I'm sure he knows that, but he didn't have luck on his side either. He had a sod's law of a match.
  18. I wouldn't blame him for the first goal. He slipped, it was nothing to do with goalkeeping ability and could happen to anyone. His poor kick which gave the corner for the second goal was perhaps down to the pitch, I'm not sure. His positioning for the third wasn't good good though, and he looked very nervous when coming for the ball in the air.
  19. We watched the game on espn and it was a sad sight, knowing a U.K wide audience would be watching open mouthed as the teams tried to play on no-man's land on the western front. The commentator was right when he joked the pitch was a throwback to the 60's and 70's. It isn't fair to the players or the fans, and to think all that money was spent on it just a year ago.
  20. Now there's a stat! How many leagues goals in total did Motherwell score that season? And how about most hat-tricks for the club? Apologies if already covered. Oh yeah, and the official answer to lowest attendance?
  21. So is the answer ally mauchlen ? Is he officially the dirtiest git to ever wear the c & a? How about lowest attendance for a competitive match? The highest is easy to find, but what's the lowest?
  22. I see what you're seeing, Finlay, but financial pressures don't translate to players on the pitch, IMO. Pressure is playing to stay up or to win the league. The 'Well players should be told to go out and express themselves, they have already done more than was expected of them.
  23. What's this all about? Rangers or Millwall, yeah, but 'Well fans?
  24. Tamy, resident Bayern fan, has this story reached Bavaria?
