I would be surprised if McCall is even considering Goodwillie or Boyd. Boyd like McFadden has sentimental ties with his old club which is probably one of the reasons he ended up at Killie last season. Hopefully we can get another striker in soon, if not we will need to show faith in our youth players. McCall rarely gets it wrong and what ever he chooses will hopefully be good enough to see us through.

It would appear that every team in Scotland is after his signature. It will be interesting to see who he eventually signs for.

I agree, whilst there is an obvious pace issue it has never stopped both these strikers scoring for fun throughout their careers. In saying that my preference would be to sign a younger player with the view to selling him on for a profit.

I agree we need to find another gem that we can sell on. Whilst Boyd would be an asset, financially he would be a less attractive proposition.

Boyd would be an asset to any team in the Premiership, he proved his worth last season in what was a poor Killie side.

I am not party to any of their employment backgrounds, however, the skills required were quite specific and you would hope that any applicants would have some background and experience with working within a media environment. If they haven’t I doubt whether they would make the interview stage of the process.

Only they can say for certain if they did or not. Nothing in their replies suggested that they were at it, however, you can never be 100% certain on here.

MJC and Eddie have applied for the post so maybe they can enlighten us as to potentially what stage they are at? Whoever gets the job has a hard act to follow as Flow appears to be the Fergie of Media Managers.

I noticed Sevco are looking for two video guys to join their media team. It’s a bit of a step down from the Motherwell job, however, maybe any unsuccessful candidates might wish to apply.

Jim O’Brien scored 4 goals in 64 league appearances for Motherwell and Ainsworth has scored 11 in 29 appearances. It’s a no brainer we need Lionel before Jim O’Brien.

Now your talking, in what position do you propose. Maybe Head of Club Media? Or has Casagolda already been appointed?
